Since month 2 of living here, I have been actively looking for my next place to live. For the amount of money I'm spending on this place, I expect all my windows to close completely and for the screens to also fit. My sliding door "locks" but if tugged on hard enough, pops right open. Massive pigeon issue. I have never once been able to use my balcony due to the amount of poop on it, confronted the leasing office and told them I wouldn't pay full rent when literally all of my outdoor space is covered in pigeon poop. Told me to email them the evidence and then never did anything about it.

The head of the maintenance staff, Ben, is fantastic. Everytime he has come to address an issue he's had it completely resolved in record time. A major issue with the complex overall is a lack of parking. Each unit gets 1 assigned spot and the rest is a free-for-all and there are not nearly enough spots for the number of tenants.

The worst management. They fail to respond to residents. They fail to notify residents properly prior to entering units. There’s not enough parking spots, many park against red curbs.

Jay S.’s Reviews 1.0 star rating I have lived here almost 7 years and have had 5 different companies run this property, every time i hope things will get better, but just the opposite. the current ownership did a blind turnover without telling any residents. within 24 hours i was given notice i owed money and if i didn't pay it i would be fined or evicted. they never reviewed the information to verify its accuracy. i didn't owe the money. they have repeatedly shut off power and water for entire days saying it was emergency work, when in reality they were making upgrades that we would be charged for and have to pay but will save them money... when COVID hit, and everyone was stuck at home, they tried to cut off water for the day. they have given 0 concessions for the residents during COVID unless it was mandated by law. and while you might never know of changes, as soon as they are no longer obligated, they will let you know. i agreed to a $50 increase in rent, but i am paying over $200 a month more because when i agreed to renew, they were not upfront or transparent and had changed policies without notice and itemized amenities instead of including them in the price. so instead of only having a $50 increase in rent i am paying on average $200+. Almost all ammenities listed are not inclusive. new charges like mailbox rental, that replaced our business center, was originally ootional. you only can pay online, which you have to pay to set up and are charged to use. and when you go online to try and understand all your charges, there are over 20+ individual charges listed every month!!! was charged for months features I didn't have. i am still waiting on my credit. where i have a problem is, how they are able to act without impunity or accountability. if they overcharge. i am still responsible for the entire amount. i cant omit the overcharges. i cant charge a $75 late fee for any delay in issuing a credit. or if maintenance request isn't done. You have to continually follow up on requests to get completed. lightbulb and filters are free, but resident is expected to pick up and install. We have vaulted ceilings. This property feels like a time share. They lure you in and then get you with hidden charges after you already committed. Choose a complex that cares about their residents, is proud of their property and doesnt need to hide extra fees in the lease in order to attract residents.

Please know, shut-offs occur only when necessary maintenance or repairs are being performed. We aim to provide adequate notice so residents can plan accordingly. However, occasional emergency situations may arise that prevent us from doing so. Additionally, you’ll find it is not uncommon in the multifamily housing industry for additional charges such as Common Area Maintenance fees to slightly increase the overall monthly cost of renting a home. While we understand that added fees can be frustrating, this charge goes towards the maintenance of our community and its overall quality for all to enjoy. With all that said, we'd welcome the opportunity to improve your stay and encourage you to call or email the office.
Just moving out after 2.5 years and couldn’t be more satisfied with the management team since they came on board in 2019. Office crew is great, very responsive and more accommodating than most, and love the investment new ownership made into the property. Wonderful experience, highly recommend for reasonably priced North Scottsdale location. Townhomes are fantastic. For someone who had been in the industry for a very long time, I have been truly impressed. Keep up the good work everyone and thanks again!

We came to view an apartment we were interested in. Upon arriving Kayla yelled at my mom for sitting down even though we were told to wait and the room was full of people. The apartment wasn't ready to view until an hour and fifteen minutes after our appointment. When I told Flor I can't move in that specific day she immediately got defensive and started arguing with me. We were confronted by Kayla in the office who YELLED at us for not being able to move that day and demanded an explanation before throwing a folder across the desk storming out.

We just recently decided to move here and so far we are very happy with the apartment and the community. Nice quiet area, 5 minutes from anything you need, and the new management is helpful and personable. It is a little pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for in convenience and location.

I came in and toured these apartments expecting it to be average, but after seeing several floors plans and styles I was blown away. The management is very friendly and helpful!!! After seeing other communities around this one, this was hands down the best choice. The amenities like the pool and clubhouse were recently renovated and they look fantastic! The fact that this is a gated community is even better. Not only did I look at the apartments but they also have townhomes.... needless to say I chose the townhouse with attached garage and it is very updated!!! I have lived here for several months now and have not had one issue, the management is great, the maintenance is always super helpful and nice,and most of the people I have met are friendly as well. I would definitely recommend Sonora Vista especially for the area and the price!
Lived here for over five years and had to move for work. The location was amazing and my apartment was great. A few work orders here and there for small things, but no major headaches. The property was well-maintained and the amenities turned out beautiful after the renovations. The management was responsive and friendly. My only issue was the cost of garages. I really needed one for some additional storage, but coughing up the price they wanted was not possible. I am sad to move and would have renewed, if not for my relocation. I recommend this place for anyone looking to live in North Scottsdale!

Sonoran Vista Management has changed to a management group called Alliance. The pipes to include a waste water pipe leaked into out apartment which seeped up from the kitchen floor. The management sent an incompetent plumber who failed to fix the pipes in one visit. I did not want to stay in the waste water contaminated apartment, and I asked to be moved to a new apartment, which Kayla from the management team refused. Do NOT move here, you may be exposed to health and safety problems that the management does not appear to take seriously.
The apartments themselves are nice, not anything that I would rave about especially since you have to pay for upgrades but this location is very fee happy, any way they can, they will. I have certainly looked for many ways to break the lease if it suited my financial situation. It's disappointing really especially for what they charge, for all those petty fees, borderline insulting.
