I am a current resident and I enjoy living here. For the price and location you really cannot beat it. Of course there is always room for improvement anywhere you go. However, there isn’t much to complain about. Trash valet is great and maintenance is good. The management office is very nice and communicative! Parking spaces can be improved. Tons of mud when it rains and when there are lots of residents there is not enough parking spots. Definitely look into this place if you aren’t wanting to spend a fortune on an apartment.

The Maintenance Department is awesome. My ice maker was leaking in my kitchen. I contacted the office in 2 days they were here and we thought we had it done. Three days later it was leaking and they came within 2 days and said you ice maker can't be fixed we have order new ice makers and now a week and half later I have an new ice maker. I would recommend it to anyone. Just needs the parking spaces to be free of mud and the trash pick up to be welcomed more than 2 bags and more than 20 pounds to be picked up. I understand that mosquitoes are a huge problem in the area but something can get done from the property leasing office. We really love it here!

Great community. Great neighbors. Quiet. THe only issue is that the buildings are getting old and a lot of small things need repairs. The lawn and grass is atrocious. Like living in a dustbowl and it is muddy on the street and driveways when it rains.
I would reccomend, destiny helped me out so much, and the maintenance guys did everything I asked in such quick time!
Every Item that i have brought up has been handled very promptly.
In my 2.5 years living here, I have never been happy. There is no security. Vehicles get broken into and they even use a cut throat towing company that drives around scouring for cars to tow. They will use any reason to tow a car. I had a classic mustang parked in my approved rented stall and they towed it with out cause and damaged it. The apartment complex said they couldn’t explain why it happened but can’t get rid of the company. They never made restitution for the damages or the unlawful tow. My tub has leaked since moving in and they tried to fix it but couldn’t. It leaked the whole time. Finally my son was helping me move out and the towing company towed his car while we were loading it. They said there was nothing they could do again. If you’re thinking about renting here, don’t do it.

It's a great place inside the apartments. Non respect to the person above you and the halls smell like dog pee, just to many dogs in one apartment Large dogs but over all the apartment is okay

I actually referred someone to the property but because no one answered the phone they had to explore other options because they weren't in town to visit the property. I had the same issue as well trying to get in contact with the property but i eventually was able to go to the property.
Efficient and clean. Very professional. But the landscape maintenance is inadequate for the rest of the high quality.
I’ve lived here for 18 months and my tub has leaked the whole time. Maintenance has failed to permanently fix the issue and they don’t respond to maintenance requests. The renovations they’ve made are of poor quality. My carpet is coming up in multiple areas. The dishwasher can’t fully open because it is obstructed by the oven. The lock for the study has been painted shut. There is paint on the carpets. These apartments are NOT worth the price.

Maintenance staff Is the only thing good I would ever say to someone about this apt complex.
There seems to be little concern or follow through with the regulation of having renters pick up their dog waste. The back area of the complex, owners just leave their dog waste all around and just about anywhere. If maybe a few more waste cans and bags where at each large building that may help. There are non at building eight where most of the residents seem to be really lazy and make the complex look and smell disgusting.
Excellent property the apartment was upgraded very nice no issues in that. Great value for the one bedroom with study and excellent location.

The apartment was awesome. We lived there for 5 years. We only moved to be closer to my son's new school. I actually regret moving now because of traffic problems in our new apartment.
A year ago, the maintenance crew was horrible. Lincoln has replaced the previous crew and employed a new maintenance manager and the new crew has been exceptional. Kudos.
Very easy to submit maintenance requests, and they are answered in a very timely manner. The maintenance team is very courteous and professional and resolve issues quickly.
At this point I am basing that on my first impressions of the community. The community is clean and quiet and the pool is very nice.

It'??s a safe community with the convenience of local stores near by as well as being close to work. I would recoomend these apartments because of the area the apartments are located. Plenty of stores, shops, etc.
Everyone I met was very nice, the grounds and buildings are pretty and clean. My sister lives in the complex, and when I visited her, I knew this was where I wanted to move. I am bringing a friend tomorrow to look at the property.

I would recommend this apartment community based on my own interaction with the staff including their efficiency and follow-through. The community is peaceful and well-kept.
The office staff and maintenance team are extremely pleasant and responsive. I am neutral on recommending this property to a family because the property is older which limits the amenities that new apartments offer. The apartments have gone through some upgrades but there are still items that need to be upgraded - HAVC Vents, A/C thermostat, Bathroom tubs, shower heads, carpet. The security gate is old and needs to be replaced.
Hate the speed bumps. Concerned about the parking lot lighting. It is very dark around the cars and is a safety issue for me. Also that my friends or family have to park outside the gate is very uneasy for me and them. My daughter would rather not visit then park there. Otherwise I?d recommend these apts because everything else about the place is great including the office and maintenance.

These apartments are bad, like really bad. They are old apartments that have had a poorly done make over. Since the day I moved in I knew I was going to have issues. I have paint on the floor from the “new” cabinets. The walls are super thin, I can hear my neighbors sneeze(I wish I was joking). The pool gets cleaned annually. The bugs might rise up and take over, I personally will side with the ants because they seem strongest in numbers. I don’t know what background check or screening they do for residents but I have witness a man use his dog as a weapon to fight his neighbor. The parking is nonexistent. I pay for a covered spot and people park in it constantly but nothing ever happens when I call the office or the towing company. I know this is Texas but every time it gets cold my heater breaks. Last winter I went a week without heat, I was told I would get a space heater but that never happened. The front office staff is nice but absolutely clueless and the management is arrogant and extremely rude. I cannot think of a single reason anyone would stay here, the cost pretty high for what you get. Please learn from my mistake and stay somewhere else.

Anybody who rates this 5 stars is paid. I moved in last October and wasn't allowed to see my apartment beforhand for "renovations". Day 1 I walked in and no cabinets were on the walls. They offered nothing and sent someone a week and a half later. The property manager Julie was a thug when I called and asked what's going on. Same with Lorena, blaming things on me for their incompetence when I had been there 1 week. I stuck out the lease because I worked across the street. The dishwasher is installed in a way where it can't open because the drawer handles on either side block it. The renovating contractors leave broken glass and actuall razors lying all over the parking lot. I have photos. The kitchen sink leaked. A light fixture in the dining room straight up fell from the cieling last week. If you want to over pay and have an office never answer your phone call first time, I suggest the smog that is Sonterra heights. Otherwise, find another place where you don't have to call 911 to get the neighbors smoke alarms turned off. This is the worst apartment in San Antonio by a long shot, because of management.

I have had some ongoing issues with my apartment but the staff is excellent, maintainence is efficient in solving all immediate problems as they arrive and Mgr. Julie continues to make every effort to work with me and for me in resolving any ongoing issues.
I would have to say that the way property maintenance has been kept up with make me feel like management appreciates the place I call home as much as I do. The price is reasonable for the quality of my apartment and it's placement. I have actually helped two people find a place to live as Sonterra Heights. When I got to a third person, the apartments had already filled up so it would appear that I am not alone in find this complex as a great place to call home.
The amount of space (square footage) for the price I am paying is amazing!! The complex is very clean. Office staff have always been helpful anytime I made inquiries or needed help. Maintenance repair was outstanding. I am very happy to be living at Sonterra Heights.
The same week after renewing my lease, I've regretted my decision to stay. There's a reason these apartments are the cheapest in the area - bad management. November 2018 can't get here soon enough. 1. Repeatedly, residents on the ground floor of my building don't think twice about letting their dogs pee on the building, right by the stairs. 2. It's common for the dumpster to be overflowing with trash in the parking lot. I manage an office building in the area, and I know what to do when the dumpster is full - call the trash company. 3. Debris is all over the place - continually. Instruct the maintenance guys to pick up loose trash while they are cruising in the golf carts. 4. My billing was messed up for the current month. It took management three days to respond to my messages. Now, I must get a cashier's check to pay the rent - my wasted time for their sloppy response time.
I didn’t not have a proper working heater since move in day 10-31-2017. It even snowed in San Antonio and I did not have a working heater. 12 -13-2017 Update I finally got my heater fixed after god knows how many emails and maintance request. This is a pretty decent place as long as nothing breaks in your apartments and you have nothing to do in the leasing office. On another note before I signed my lease Kristen form leasing office misinformed me claiming that I would be able to connect Time Warner Spectrum into this property. When I moved in I quickly learned that they wouldn’t be able to install because this is an all AT&T property. Which might not seem like a big issue. Just add services with new provider no big deal. Well after having them for about a month or so of horrible WiFi speed I had a technician come out. After the poor man worked on and on for almost four hours. He had to inform me that due to the congestion of everybody in the apartments I will never have reliable working internet. The most I can get on any given day is 10 download no matter what is done. If you watch Netflix or Hulu this is not the place for you.
