I have black mold spores growing through the wall and have had several discussions with the office and higher management. They all insist the several leaks are dry.. well the black polka dots of mold beg to differ.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention! Our team is actively working to resolve this as soon as possible and please give us a call if you have any questions or concerns moving forward!
I toured with Monserrat and she was so knowledgeable with the surrounding area and her community, very friendly lady. For the history of this complex, the homes are maintained very well. I will definitely be recommending this community to my friends and family.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We apologize for your negative experience and we will take it into consideration.
I am counting the days until my lease is up. Management is the rudest team of people I have ever met. They bricked up our fireplaces right after moving, all of the floors are peeling and uneven which cause you to constantly trip. The walls are filled with holes from previous tenets. The ceilings are covered in leak stains and at some parts it peels down, and on top of it all none of the sinks or bathtubs will hold any water. Basically an over glorified standing shower. The drawers in my fridge have been broken since before I moved, I cannot use the veggie compartment, and management has never felt the need to fix it. Trash is always piled up outside the trash compactor and thrown across the parking lots. There really isn’t anything good to say except for the location of it near haywood road.

Hi and thank you for providing this feedback. We take these matters seriously and we hope we can address everything directly. Please give us a call when you can.
My apartment has been constantly invaded by roaches. I see babies and adult roaches. I’ve also had other pests in my unit as well. Pest control sprays but that does nothing. I can’t use my cabinets. If you have maintenance request it takes about 2 weeks before they fix anything. Things constantly leak. I see many areas in my ceilings that look they have damage. My neighbors constantly smoke weed. The smell is so strong it’s always on my clothes. I can’t come to work smelling like weed. I have to constantly to laundry to get the smell out. Probably will look into breaking the lease. Please reconsider moving here.

Hello and thank you for voicing your concerns. Please give our office a call directly so we can address these matters properly. We hope to speak with you soon!
My apartment is GORGEOUS. It’s just like the pictures and model with the stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. I moved in two months ago and it’s been the best experience so far. Office staff is also super friendly & helpful. I definitely recommend Sorrento to anyone looking for a convenient location in Greenville while still affordable & beautiful.
Total trash ! Been living here for 8 months. CANT WAIT TO LEAVE !! If you like living around drug dealers everywhere and police. Always coming in and out don’t move here …. If you was to smell weed in your apartment that is about to ge t you high all the time. Don’t move here office doesn’t do a thing doesn’t control anything. .. you can’t use the fireplaces Bc they are to lazy to get there inspections .. nobody picks up there dog poop ever !! It’s everywhere can’t even walk. And over this past summer pool was closed just about the entire time. . The apartment itself. Is leaving floor peeling up and they spray painted all the cabinets and tubs before moving in. Just to find out we moved in 2 weeks after they evicted Cocain dealers out of here … don’t come here please management doesn’t do a thing
I've lived here for almost 2 years and while the layout of the apartment and the location is great, the new management company sucks and I'm counting down the days until my lease is up. They never answer/return any calls, don't pay for garbage pickup so everyone's trash just piles up (my apartment is right next to the dumpster so i get to stare at and smell the entire complexes trash), old mattresses lay outside next to the dumpster for months collecting mold (i have pictures from multiple dates), the new system to pay your rent online has a $34 convenience fee compared to the $6 fee the old management company used, the list could literally go on and on. Long story short, don't freaking move here.
I went for a tour on 1/30/2021. The woman that worked in the leasing office was very nice and helpful, we toured the model apartment they have that's staged and It was Wonderful! Exactly as I had hoped, however when we went and looked at an empty apartment to see the floorpan I wanted, I was very disappointed. Apart from the smell of MJ outside the building, as soon as the door opened I was turned off. The smell of that apartment was awful. It smelled of old garbage and mold. The hard wood floor was scratched to hell. Each bed room had carpet, which wouldn't have been an issue apart from the huge stains they were covered in. I wish I had taken pictures. On top of that there were stains on the ceiling from obvious leaking. She said given the date of the apartment being built they did have some leaking issues. Which was ridiculous considering that apartment was on the first floor. I'd hate to see the third and second. She didn't say anything about the issue being fixed. I know everyone has their own opinions but I was really looking forward to this tour and was very disappointed. Other buildings may be better but definitely look and ask questions.
This is my first apartment in Greenville and I’ve loved it! The location is great- close enough to downtown and any store you need but you don’t have to deal with crazy traffic if you don’t want. They are older buildings but with the renovations and amenities my guests are always complimentary of the space. I don’t ever plan on using the pool considering how many times its been closed to due sanitation purposes and the trash compactor piles up from time to time which can be gross. But overall I’m very pleased, I enjoy my neighbors, and hope to stay a while!
I have been here 5 years and absolutely love it here. Wonderful and friendly and caring office staff and great maintenance. The improvements that have been made have changed the entire beauty of our complex! I will stay always! Mrs. Clark. Apt 6H
The park at Sorrento is not worth the money. Very old apartments with a slap of paint and new counter tops does not make an apartment “luxury”. I constantly find mice poop in the kitchen, maintenance takes at least a week to come see you.
I hate it here , from day one it’s been a nightmare, first the promised us a apt then they told us it wouldn’t be ready until the fifth after we already had our stuff on a uhaul waiting to move into our apt . like everyday the ppl above me is always stomping its like the floors are soooo squeaky and has sunken spots it literally feels like we shifting , i sent a maintenance request my second day here it’s my third week and i haven’t seen anybody YET . The pool still isn’t fixed it’s just not what i thought it would be honestly at this point ion care about breaking a least bc it’s terrible like terrible i wish i would have read each review bc I’m here to say EACH ONE WAS VERY ACCURATE! Ugh i shoulda signed a three month lease
I have literally been trying for 3 years to have an issue in my home fixed. Still broken, they believe that a coat of paint will resolve the leaking pipes above my unit. 2 out of the 3 years we have been here the pool has been unusable and unopened. When I just went in to speak with the new leasing office about my concerns, they blew me off, talked down to me, and treated me like I was an idiot. I am a paralegal. That was a dumb move on her part. I was promised things I didn't receive. I hate it here and cannot WAIT to move. This property has been owned by 3 different companies since I have been here and they are charging like they are luxury units. This place is over 30 years old!! The model they show you is nothing at all like the one that they gave me. When I first signed the lease I was promised a ground floor unit, the day of my move in they changed without my consent. I was promised that my rent would NEVER go up more than 20 dollars per month. 3 years ago I paid 850, now they charge me 1000. Nothing but blowing smoke up my ... The thing is, I can definitely afford this place I just don't feel like it is remotely worth it. Everything is old and in shambles. Tennis court? Hahahahaha! You mean a broken piece of green concrete with a fence? The property maintenance is inept. They renewed my lease WITHOUT MY CONSENT. Which, by the way is ILLEGAL. I have half a mind to get my lawyer involved but at this point I just want out. I can pay 1000 a month for a bigger, nicer home with a more professional staff... and have a place without a leak in my ceiling for 3 years. Oh and a staff that treats my family with respect. Don't move here. It's all lies.
They won’t fix anything and I just moved here few weeks ago! The apartments don’t look like the pictures or the show room. Just dirty apartments that are not taken care of. Ready to move ASAP!
I have lived here for about 6 months now. The office staff is great. However the apartment complex it self is not so great. As much as Greenville is growing and with all the apartment competition in the area you would think you would not have such horrible reviews and not only are they horrible they are the same residents complaining about the same issues which should set off a red flag to the staff that these are issues that need to be addressed and fixed. Problem # 1 : a maintenance request should take no longer than 2-3 days to get fixed. It should never take 2-3 weeks for one request to be completed. As a resident that tells me that my up keep on my apartment does not matter the rent is too high for my request to not be completed in a timely manner and IF its an issue of the maintenance team being understaffed then I would suggest hiring some more people. Otherwise someone either is being lazy or not doing there job. Problem # 2 : I should not have to call the office 5 or more times a day to try and get ahold of someone and even still at 6:00 pm when you guys are closing I still have reached no one. The voice mail is full so their is no way to leave a message. As a resident that is so frustrating and completely ridiculous. Either clear the voice mail and check them daily or someone should be in the office at all times and once again if its a staffing problem I would highly suggest hiring some more people. Problem # 3: There is one dumpster servicing the whole community however the dumpster is a pretty good size, as much as the rent is out here there should be NO trash sitting outside the dumpster it causes rats and everything else the rules should be strictly enforced. One of the biggest problems with this complex is they let anybody move in. Other apartments in the area they enforce 3x the rent and make sure all ducks are in a row before tossing someone the keys. My recommendation to metropolitan office staff is you guys really need to step it up as a team. I would gladly break the lease here and pay the money and move to the next apartment knowing that they care about their residents to feel more safe knowing rules are enforced.
My husband and I lived in these apartments for three years. We moved in when they were still called 'Century Forest' and, at that time, they were very nice. Over the years, living conditions became horrendous! We went through thousands of dollars worth of damaged property, a flooded apartment, a period of time without AC (in the middle of summer), electrical issues and a faulty hot water heater that leaked and caused mold to grow in several rooms and the floors to raise. Management does not care!!! I was yelled at by a male member of the maintenance staff in front of management and nothing was done. I had to call my husband to come home from work because I felt unsafe. These apartments are awful and the staff is even worse! There are so many nice apartments in Greenville; why live in a place like this? We are so very glad to be in a new home where I feel safe and where we don't have to be embarrassed over the condition of our home! Don't make the mistake of signing the lease and living with the regret! Heed the advice of all the bad reviews; they're here for a reason!
This place is a complete rip off! Giving the complex even 1 star is too many! There are a ton of hidden fees of which you are not made aware when you visit the property or sign your lease. These fees are revealed when a resident receives the first monthly "statement." Rent is just the beginning. Be prepared to pay a monthly pest control fee; trash removal; water/sewer and a monthly servicing fee. This place is a scam. The amenities are horrible, maintenance is a joke and if you own a pet there are not nearly enough pet stations. Also, there is only 1 dumpster which services the entire property. Most of the time it is overflowing, smelly and generally disgusting. I plan on breaking my lease and moving as soon as humanly possible.
I recently transitioned here to the Greenville area and happened to stumble upon The Metropolitan Apartments. Since moving in, in March I have found living here to be nothing short of accommodating!!! The staff are very kind, caring and professional! The apartment is nice, clean and comfortable! I am proud of and thankful for the my choice, and the opportunity to be here!!
Unprofessional, very hard to get a hold of anyone in the office. Maintenance takes days to come work on the apartment. The sliding glass door was broken, the blinds on almost all windows were broken, and ramen noodle packets were shoved into the drain for the washer and dryer, the floors were cracked and there was absolutely no weather stripping left on the front door (horrible drafts in the entire apartment) when we moved in just to name a FEW issues. We can barely get out to our patio because the blinds don’t move more than a few inches. Maintenance came out and said it didn’t “look” broken. These are old apartments renovated meaning while they look nice you will still have the problems of an old apartment. Creaky floors, bad water pressure (one of our showers virtually doesn’t work and our toilets barely flush just water), old smells in the apartment and in all of the drains. We also were told this was a gated community, but we have yet to see the gate closed. In fact, I don’t believe the gate they installed is even automated. Probably the worst thing is that all of the floors slant into the middle of the rooms. YES, TVs lean forward, drawers fall out, and doors do not stay opened. This is in all of the main rooms. Our dining room table is higher on one side than the other. Also, we have had trouble with the office. Over the past few months we have called both close to 15 times and have gotten a hold of someone maybe 3 times. Utilities are not included in the rent. One month, we got a bill in our mailbox saying that “rent past due is $151.46” We went into the office to ask about the bill and the lady told me “rent and utilities are different” so I asked her what rent was past due then? She told me “rent means utilities, duh” She proceeded to tell me I should have paid the amount on the bill we get in the mail every month. I told them that we were never told about a bill and she said I should have come to the office then. I can’t go looking for something I didn’t know about… Also, the office lost our rent check. On March 1st, we had dropped our rent check off in the drop box in an envelope marked MARCH RENT with our apartment number on it, the above conversation took place on Friday March 4th and on March 8th we received a notice saying that we had to pay a $100 late fee because our rent was past the 5 DAY grace period. Annoying since we were in there on Friday and could have figured it out then, very dangerous as checks have personal banking info them!
The Metropolitan are newly renovated apartments located in the heart of Greenville, in between downtown where there are amazing bars, restaurants, and waterfalls, and minutes away from the mall. Its convenient location, clean gym, and large pool area makes it a place I get excited to show to company. The new staff and maintenance made me feel extremely welcomed moving into an unfamiliar town by myself. They care about their residents, and make it feel like I am still surrounded by family.
The Metropolitan are newly renovated apartments in the heart of Greenville. Perfectly located between downtown and the mall, they are the most convenient location in the area. The new management and staff made it welcoming moving into a new town I was unfamiliar with. The cleanliness of their gym as well as their large pool and grilling area make it a relaxing environment as well as one to show off to company.
I've lived at 660 Halton for less than 1 year and there have been at least 3 different management companies running the property. When I moved in I was told that the community would be gated by early summer. They've installed fencing around the perimeter of the property but that is not "gated" as the entrance is still open access. There have been many upgrades since this was Century Forest Apartments, granite countertops in the kitchen and bathroom, new light fixtures, new flooring and an external upgrade with new windows and siding, however, the plaster around my windows cracked and some broke off when the siding was installed in December/January and it still hasn't been repaired completely. There was a leak under the kitchen sink that weakened and bowed the pressboard bottom of the cabinet and when the granite countertops were installed one of the workmen put his foot through it. So there's been a foot-sized hole in the bottom of the cabinet since February. My upstairs neighbor had a leak in their kitchen that caused water damage to the ceilings in my living room and kitchen and only one of those stains has been repaired and painted. I have repeatedly placed work orders with each management company and still no action. The only response I've gotten was a notice that my rent is being increased by nearly 18 percent starting in October. Seriously considering a move as I've never had such issues in any other place I've rented.
