I have lived at Sorrento for 10 years and I am very happy with everything here, Maintaince is always on time and helpful.
Communication here is really subpar, I can’t hardly ever get in contact with anyone but once I do, whatever was discussed gets lost in translation and is never followed through by anyone. Move in experience was bad, and NEVER ADDRESSED, have been dealing with roaches, leaks, faulty gates etc since moving here 5 months ago. Would NOT recommend living here.

Don’t live here. New management isn’t it. Repairs took many in person follow ups to see what/why nothing was getting done. Management filed a move in condition form that we didn’t turn in. Although we turned a detailed condition form before the 48 hour window was up.

I give it two stars to respect the past administration. They always responded on time and were very responsible. however, this new management deserves zero stars. Since this new administration, I have had many problems. I have requested services, they mark it as a complement, and they are not going to fix it. I had a month and a half with the a/c, which doesn't work at 100% in the middle of summer when temperatures are 105 degrees or more. and lately, my building has been infested with large cockroaches, and nothing has been done. Also, the staff in the office are rude. It's a nightmare to live here. That's the reasons I'm moving.

I will never recommend this community to anyone. Very non professional staff and worst in maintenance.
One of the main reason we selected Sorrento was the amenities. Now, NONE of them are available to us. We will most likely be moving as soon as our lease us up. We are most unhappy with our choice to live at Sorrento. We would never recommend this complex or any complex Owned/Managed by Greystar to anyone.

Been here almost a year lease is just about up. Overall was an okay experience. I just couldn't put up with daily invasion of cockroaches. Just about every other 3 days I'd see 4 to 5 in the bathroom.
We love our three bedroom. The upgrades are beautiful and the best in the area. Not to mention the bedrooms are massive! We love the pool and the gym. Keyless apartment entry and an app to report maintenance issues which is super convenient. Love our home
This place is garbage ran by garbage people. I’m so glad we are finally ending our lease even though they will try and fine you and squeeze every penny out of you before leaving. Which they did and probably will try and continue doing till we’re out.
Management is a joke, Maintenance is a joke, parking is terrible. Dog poop everywhere. Very happy our lease will be up so we can move out of that place. Please reconsider if you are thinking about moving in here.
Nathan is wonderful leasing agent... there's a reason why he got employee of the year award! Live in building 9. They completely renovated the apartment before I moved in, few small things they missed and finished within 24 hours so obviously maintenance is on point and timely. Love putting my apartment together. They are painting the apartments building brick white with a dark grey trim. The balcony's are gonna have this modern glass metal railing which is super nice. They keep property clean. I do agree with the doggy poo trash but that's not the property fault that's just lazy tenants. I keep my home clean and tidy. Haven't had any issues with apartments or management. They know me by name and only lived here 2 months so they are personable. I did notice they are starting to do social events for residents which is nice like cinco de Mayo food and drinks catering as well as this past Mother's Day they passed out roses. Seems they are really trying to bring a sense of community. If interested ask for Nathan and tell him crystal referred you. They did a really nice job with place and last I checked i have not had issues with finding a parking spot. Usually it's Friday Saturday nights when everyone has there friends over, simple fix, give out parking passes or be towed.
I’ve been living at Horizons at Fossil Creek since 2016. I have been a good tenant. Recently, my air conditioning went out for nearly 3 weeks. My two kids and I had to endure being without air conditioning during 110 degree Texas heat. The apartment management showed lack of urgency nor sincerity for the fact that my two kids had to endure this as well. Their lack of urgency contributed to the portable air conditioning units the provided, however they weren’t that helpful. They wouldn’t reduce my rent saying there is a “clause” in my lease protecting the complex from things like this. I called their corporate office multiple times and they have yet to return my call. I recently received my electric bill and the portable air conditioning unit caused my bill to be $400, yet they won’t even reduce my rent for the month.
Air conditioning has been broken since my wife and I moved in five weeks ago. For all of our maintenance issues, we’ve had to put in many work orders, called, and visited the office repeatedly...finally wrote to the regional manager and most of the minor issues were taken care of the same day (like shower door not latching), but not the A/C. We’ve been told different dates and none of them met. It still doesn’t work! Even though the A/C has been set to 72 all day, it reads 78 around 5pm and 80 by 7pm and it is even warmer than that in our bedroom. Maintenance seems to think we’re being unreasonable when we ask for them to top up our freon again (the only thing that would work the first few weeks) or bring in a portable A/C when the freon top ups stopped working. They seemed perfectly content to not find a permanent solution. We spoke to our neighbors and they have experienced the same issues, taking months for urgent maintenance requests to be completed. One resident had sewage backing up into the shower and water draining from the light fixtures, and it took them 3 months to fix!!!! My other neighbor has been trying to get them to fix his A/C for months as well. One of the times my wife went to the office, she spoke to another resident who said she'd been waiting for months for her maintenance requests too. They get 3 stars, because the apartment itself with the upgrades and the grounds are very nice. All of the apartments we toured and the one we moved into have lots of windows and great light! For the most part, everything feels well built, and the crown molding and beveled doors are nice touches. We have beautiful granite countertops in the kitchen and bathrooms. We discovered they weren’t sealed, so we took care of that ourselves. The countertops, appliances, and cabinets are a part of a property-wide upgrade and they are all great quality. For as much as we’re paying, we feel we shouldn’t have to go through a regional manager to get maintenance requests addressed. And, to not have a properly working A/C in the summer heat for five weeks is unacceptable. I'll update my review after we've been in our apartment a bit longer.
I've lived here for about a year now and love it! Great apartments and have helped with any issues we've ever faced. The staff are always friendly and smiling! I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this complex to anyone!
January 19, 2016 I have lived here for about 6 months now, and I am very happy with my choice.I had looked at 5 different apartment complexes before deciding on The Horizons at Fossil Creek and none compared. The apartments here are very beautiful inside, and you have many different choices in sizes and style for a reasonable price. The groundskeepers, the maintenance workers, and all the staff in the office are so sweet and always greet you with a warm smile and a Hello. I feel very safe here and recommend this apartment complex to others looking for a safe gated apartment community to call home.
Do not rent here. The property management is unprofessional and only makes excuses as to why there is an issue with your apartment, the fitness area, the pool, hot tub or gates. They do not clean the stairwells and walkways during the winter when there is ice and snow on them. There were 5 gates to enter and exit the property, during my lease all the gates were closed at the same time less than 5% of the 12 months there. Fitness area is unclean with non-maintained equipment. The hot tub work less than it worked. Do not move into the Horizons at Fossil Creek.
People are very friendly. Staff is very nice. Apartments are small. Kitchen is very small. Internet is terrible. You have to reset it way to much sometimes 4 or 5 times a day.
The Horizons at Fossil Creek was a well maintained property 2 years ago. The complex was quiet, landscaping was beautiful and the office management was great. Over the past year the property seems to have declined. Management gets things mixed up and don't stay on top of things. There are children writing on exterior of building, loudly running around all times of the day, the landscaping is poorly maintained. Tenants leave their trash on the parking lot. There usually is no parking anywhere near my building if I get home after 10pm. This property is overpriced.
This is my first time renting sincere 1193. Wow have things changed, gated community, friendly office staff. I feel like I'm in a home . I would highly recommend these apartment to anyone who is looking for a relaxed living space.
I just recently moved out of a 2 bed 2 bath here. I lived here for 1.5 years. First the pros, which are plentiful. The apartments are in great shape. They were clean, working great, and in a great location. We were very sad to move away from all the restaurants, movie theater, and easy access to the freeways. When we had a maintenance problem. our problem was fixed promptly. The front office was great to work with, and the grounds were, for the most part, well kept. We found noise to be very manageable, and always felt very safe. We never had a problem with our cars being broken into, and in fact, a few times I left my sunroof open, and nothing was ever stolen. We never had a problem with bugs. And packages were always delivered promptly by the office. For the cons, they are things the apartments cant help. We had two dogs ourselves, but people kept having their dogs defecate right outside our apartment. We were afraid management would think we were the problem. The apartments have provided bags and baskets everywhere. The dog issue was pretty ongoing, and people outside our apartment kept throwing banana peels on the lawn as well. It seemed to only happen right outside our place too. The parking was sometimes a minor problem, but I never had to walk too far. The main pool and the gym are frequently broken, or sub-par; the hot tub often did not work or was undergoing treatment and the treadmills were pretty ancient. I always went to the 24 hour fitness around the corner anyway. I would definitely live here again, and would recommend this place to anyone new in town.

We moved our college student into the Horizons at Fossil Creek last week. So far, she is very pleased with the apartment and the staff. There were several things that needed attention when she moved in, (such as: sink did not drain well in the bathroom) but they were taken care of the day after we reported them. The front office staff is very pleasant and helpful.

these apartments were sooo nice. the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. they tried to assist my every need. there were two 2 bedroom floorplans available to choose from and we just could not decide which one was better because they were sooo beautiful. very spacious, great lighting, just amazing. pricing was reasonable and location was fantastic from where i worked.
