Property Ratings at South Bridge Gardens
The complex is very old. Renovations include peeling paint and new appliances…it is difficult to get maintenance man to follow up with issues, much less contact him in the first place. Not enough storage space as you can see in the pictures. The walls are too thin we can hear the neighbors walking, talking, snoring, using the toilet etc…not their fault but rather a fault in the structure of the building.no thermostat so we can’t control the heat…the baseboard heaters will turn on randomly throughout the winter making the rooms stuffy and sweaty. Many bugs in the summer. There are less stressful accommodations nearby for a similar price.
They claim to have renovated the whole place but they only covered up the "ugly". We moved in just over a month ago and we've already had maintenance issues. I've had to call "maintenance" for clogged toilet, no heat in February!, no hot water in the bath, no hot water to washing machine, electric outlets not working, leak from upstairs apartment into our bathroom and a new leak that just bubbled up the pain and exploded in our living room. All these issues and not even 2 months after move-in. The "maintenance" person does not work on weekends and flat out turns off the phone. We've had the leaks for 2 days now and no response from him at all and today is Friday, so not sure what the excuse is. We went to get him at his apartment and were dismissed because "he wasn't there". One of my windows has a hole that we mentioned at move-in, and another window that doesnt lock, still nothing has been done. It took us about 1 month just to get internet here! Neighbors had the same issue. Everything flooded here and lines had to be redone. I regret having moved in here. There's no need for tenants to have to be chasing "maintenance". Paying rent is also annoying because you have to mail it in or drive up to them since there is no office on the premises. You can pay online, but you guessed it... I had issues with that too!! They never assigned me an account number. Everyone I called said to call someone else. Just avoid moving here. Many other options out there.
