Property Ratings at South Glen
I was here only a year, but my apartment unit was clean and maintained well. Staff was very easy to work with. SGA is very affordable as well.
I've lived at South Glen since 2015 and have had a great experience. Property is very clean and the new staff is excellent and prompt with all of my needs. I recommend South Glen to anyone looking for a new home.
This location is TERRIBLE to live! The community and manager make you feel like you are constantly being watched and forced to hide behind closed blinds. They say you're allowed a dog but should the dog bark once at a stranger coming to your door, like any dog might, you're drowned in noise complaints with threats of eviction. We moved in and piece by piece the place fell apart, door knobs falling off, a door came off it's hinges and the water was run backwards in the basement and started leaking! Did they want to help? No, they just wanted to vilanize us from day one to appease a single unknown tenant, how convenient right? Which there is also no record, anonymous or not, that is able to be reviewed. I never even felt comfortable using the public pool at this location for fear of falling under the hateful eye of the manager, Tim, who even screamed at my GUEST who took my dog for a walk after having a supposed "peaceful" discussion to solve the problems he presented. He came back to reiterate the same problems that we had eradicated except for my dog, who in fact is my Emotional support dog that helps me battle against depression as I'm nearly six months pregnant and cannot take medication. She is protected by the Federal Government but that didn't matter to him, not at all, throwing hateful comments about buying the license online. I was hoping to make this place a home for my family new and old but now in my condition I have to find a new location to live simply because I do not feel safe. We were never late with our rent, never bothered the neighbors, never had more than two people over at a time even just so the neighbors didn't have to deal with excess noise. Whatever you do, don't move in here. You will find no peace and no sense of home. Look elsewhere and warn your friends.
I recently moved to South Glen and Love my 3 bedroom townhouse. From the moment I called and spoke with Rebecca and Tim I knew this was the place for me. Its very well kept and quiet. I was fortunate enough to have an upgraded unit with an all new kitchen and flooring. They also made sure that ever floor was fixed so I when I made it my home I wouldn't hear any squeaks. I've met both maintenance men and they are very pleasant and you can tell they care. Its great being less than 5 minutes from 75 or 5 minutes to shopping (Walmart, Target, Meijer, Kroger)I am looking forward to as the weather gets warming going to visit the Marsh down the road. If your in the Market my 3 kids and I would recommend South Glen.
South Glen is a great place to live. The community is a close knit community with some renters that have been there since it was built in 1977. The apartments are clean and spacious. They all have decks or patios to enjoy the outdoors. The community offers a pool that is kept up nice. It is close to plenty of stores and restaurants. It is a great place to live!!
My apartment has very nice staff and great space. It's has a washer and dryer in the unit. The hallways are my only complaint. They need to remodel and clean it more.
This is a safe, well maintained apartment complex. It is less than five minutes away from a major highway and about 15 minutes away from dtw airport via Highway. I think it's located in a very convenient and yet discrete area. The grocery store is just down the street from us and about five minutes in the opposite direction will lead you to a couple more grocery options as well as stores like Walmart and target. The complex has on-site maintenance which has been excellent assisting us with any problems we've had, nothing has ever lingered unreasonably. There are a lot of families that live in this community and It is family friendly. Since my husband and I have moved here we've saved a lot of money on our electricity. Our apartments holds heat extremely well in the winter. And our AC doesn't get overwork in the summer. Our apartment manages to stay cool. The property manager is excellent and easily accessible if needed. I can honestly say I would recommend anyone to stay here. The only downside is that they do a lot of inspections throughout the year to ensure that they are up to code but that's not even a downside to me. It's a small price to pay to know that you are in a community that takes pride in making sure that they are up to par with city safety standards.
