Property Ratings at Southglenn Place
I have lived here for 19 years although I had a older unit It was still nice. I recently moved to a new unit and am excited to be here. These people who write these reviews are not happy . first of all I have never seen any kind of roach here , my unit is very clean there has never been homeless people going thru the garbage. remember cleanliness starts at home. don't always believe what you hear there are worse places to live so count your blessings . no roaches or homeless people here very nice neighbors .

Our residents are a priority, and we do our best to ensure that you continue to enjoy living at Southglenn Place. Thanks again and please have a wonderful day!
Have you ever stepped in dog poop? Have you ever tripped and scraped your knee? Have you ever had a day where one bad thing happen after another? Yeah, that’s everyday when you live here. Just a small list of the issues I had: a cockroach problem, never being able to reach the staff, your rent checks disappearing or being deposited several months later, every month the fees changed, the flooring and cabinets are uneven, there are exposed wires hanging down and onto the sidewalk, cars get broken into and there are always random scratches and dings in my car, the cops are here multiple times a week. Yeah that was just the short list… seriously, don’t move here. You’ll be doing yourself a favor.

Beyond disappointed in Southglenn Apartments. I currently live in Minnesota but will be relocating to Colorado in November. I had two trips planned to Colorado to scope out neighborhoods and apartments. The first trip was planned and completed in April 2021. I attempted to call this apartment when I was out there and had no luck. I let it go because it was still 7 months from my move and I knew I would be coming back to Colorado again. Fast forward to August 2021 and I officially had my second trip planned. I knew I was going to be in Colorado the week of September 5th so two weeks prior to my trip I tried calling to set up a tour or at least talk to someone in management because their website lists as having availability. I called at least 3 times PRIOR to my trip, leaving voicemails, and never heard back. The week of my trip, I called EVERY SINGLE day, desperate to get ahold of someone. STILL NOTHING. I thought that maybe putting in an application would prompt some action, so I did that. WELL....it gets worse. They took the money out of my account (x2 because I had a guarantor). They even ran the background check, as I got a copy of it in my email...yet they still will not get in contact with me or answer their phones! I am frustrated. I have called Tracy's personal number, the office number, and I have even tried getting in contact with Haven residential who apparently helps manage this property. Oh, and I emailed. NOTHING. Stay far away from this place unless you want your money taken and no communication.
Enjoyed living here before a change in management, and it is hard to beat the location and price..... but beware you will be taken advantage of on your security deposit/blamed for things you have 0 control of ie. rushed maintenance or labor, cheap appliances, things arent meant to last and you will pay for them.. I really would look elsewhere, you will have more peace of mind and will be less stressed out! Hope this helps someone
Lived here for a year. The apartment complex is run by maybe the worst apartment manager I’ve ever been around. Her voicemail box is full 24/7. The only time you can count on getting ahold of her is if it’s time for you to sign a new lease. Also, maintenance issues take forever to be taken care of. On top of that, no security around the complex at all. Very normal to see homeless people going through the dumpster. Would not recommend this place to anyone look for a decent place to live. Moved out two months ago and it’s the best decision I ever made. There’s a reason why it’s so inexpensive to live here compared to other properties.
The price! The location above all! Right across from southglenn shopping area and a very beautiful park in the other direction. It’s a great place to save money up for a home. My husband and I don’t plan to be there forever and the two years we’ve been here has been lovely.
There are lots of things wrong with my apartment, but there are no cockroaches or bedbugs. There are no infestations of any kind, other than other humans. There are some dogs and cats, but they aren't a large problem. There are no leaking drains or facets of any kind, although the toilet handle must be jiggled occasionally. The heater and air conditioner work. Generally stuff works. The very big attraction here is the location and the price. Oh, they upgraded the windows, and they are very nice. Wow with so much great stuff, what could possible be wrong? Only sign a 6 month lease, my perception is that some people love the place and stay for years, you might be in that group.
My husband and I have lived in this apartment for four years and it's okay. These apartments are literally just a place to rest your head. There are zero amnesties and do not let the free wifi fool you...it never works and you have to buy your own. There is no storage, no dishwasher, the units are tiny, and everything breaks all the time. Our sink leaks once a year, the heater, garbage disposal, and bathtub facet break ONCE a year. Also, the toilet paper roll holder and the towel racks in the bathroom pull out from the wall once a year since they are just screwed into drywall and not a stud. I live in building three and personally have never experienced cockroaches or any other pests. Like I said, it's meh. It's not great but I've had worse.
Dont ever ever move here!!!! german cockroaches everywhere, every tenant i have talked to is dealing with cockroaches. Aperently they run throughout the entire building. The infestation is so bad They are even in my bed !!! the whole apartment smells terrible like roach feces wasnt able to fully move my stuff in with out finding them swarming out of everywhere !!!!! I want able to even see the spacifc apartment they stuck me with and Im now stucck here for a year!!!! dont even bother with this place it is TRASHH!!! if i could give it zero starrs i would !
We didn't even get all of our belongings in we found at least 16 cockroaches crawling around. We talked the landlord and they said they'd bring am exterminator into our apartment but it won't make a difference unless they do the entire olace. Ended up hiring our own exterminator until the end of our lease. These roaches smell awful amd And are literally everywhere, even found one crawling around in our bed. DO NOT MOVE HERE
this place is infested with german cockroaches !!!
Explosion alert! This building had a boiler explosion that the management company did not want you knowing about. We were offered $500.00 for our silence to not write this review but I couldn't accept it. Fox31 ran a big story about the explosion and subsequent attempt at coercing silence. 11 days after the building exploded they forced us out of our lease due to a damage clause. The explosion happened on the 12th of the month so they put us up in the worst hotel imaginable for the remainder of the month. It was only a few days left in the month did they mention that this was actually costing us rent! Another hilarious thing was the pressure gauge proving what happened was "stolen" so I guess the place also isn't secure enough to keep out copper thieves. I don't remember a bike or anything else that was stolen in the over 2 years I lived there except one piece of damning evidence a day or so after a major explosion. Sounds realistic. Stay away. A woman was in the burn unit for around a week and 16 units were displaced completely. It was indeed a shameful attempt at customer service and damage control but it didn't work. Please stay away for your own safety.
