Office staff/female manager not friendly and poor customer service to their tenants
There's no place like this place! I started my apartment search a month ago, started here, and didn't go anywhere else. I just love everything this place has to offer...... ESPECIALLY THE LAKE! I am one happy resident and will continue to refer as many people as possible! (not only for the $300 referral fee too)
Absolutely loved this community, I got to take such a lovely tour with Amanda. She really made the place feel like home
This is a beautiful apartment complex in a quiet community which makes it very appealing. Unfortunately, the management of this facility is the worst I have experienced during my 15 years of living in apartment homes. I have lived here for nearly a year with multiple issues. Within the first week of moving in my dryer stopped working. It took me speaking to management to have a dryer from an unoccupied unit moved into my apartment, as they wanted me to wait several weeks until a repairman could fix the issue. Several months into living here the toilet in my guest bathroom stopped working, and despite several phone calls it took 2 or more weeks to fix. After maintenance came to my apartment it was a quick 5 minute fix, but the issue appears to be more with getting the staff to return phone calls and/or place the appropriate paperwork/work orders. I have had packages sit it in the office and food spoil, as there are no notifications of deliveries. Last but certainly not least is my experience with the move out process. I signed the move out notice MANY months ago. I have even stopped by the office and called as I keep receiving notices that my lease ends on April 15th, although I have stated numerous times that I will be here through the end of the month. Norma (who is no longer here) apparently misplaced the intent to vacate. During none of my conversations with various staff members regarding my intent to stay through the end of the month was I ever told that my notice was missing. I am now being held responsible for additional fees as my move out date has been extended since the notice to vacate cannot be located! I have called Myan management and the general manager with no return call. My best advice for those interested in this beautiful complex is to not be persuaded by the scenery until management changes to reflect the property.

I regret leaving my old complex big time.... this complex is infested with spiders inside and out. My bf got bit on his neck and he had to take time off work and left him with a scar and recently my poor cat got bit and I had to take him to vet so it wouldn't get infected and become fatal:/ the management is horrible and rude they don't care about your well being they just want money money money. I paid over grand for one bedroom apartment it's not worth it at all! Webs in the apartment and also your car will be full of webs over night so have to be careful when getting in your car. Also if your looking for amenities don't bother, the pool not even open and pest control said there's rattle snacks and he found dead rabbits. So for safety of yourself, family, and pets don't live here. I'm trying to fight my lease and get out ASAP! Worst mistake ever!

Stopped by for a tour of some apartment homes. As previously stated by another review, many the amenities that are bragged about in their brochure are not completed or have yet to begin construction. Please do not advertise something you do not have. (Just say "coming soon") My issue was mostly with the ethics of management. After touring a few of the models. I was informed that if I applied I would be receiving two months free rent to use whenever I pleased during my lease and that the apartment was mine if I wanted to put an application in today. The floorplan fit my needs and two months free rent sealed the deal. So I applied and was told I will be receiving an email later that day with the deposit information. Email never arrived and I never heard anything from management. The following day I received a phone call stating that the apartment I was promised was no longer available and they would no longer being honoring the two months free offer if I decided to move into a different floor plan. The whole things was as sleazy sounding as a bait and switch by a used-car salesman. I decided to politely turn down the different floorplan and moving to their apartment homes all together. Plenty of other options in Corpus that don't start of their resident relationships with trust and ethics issues. I highly recommend not wasting your time with South Lake Ranch.
We moved in in October and they informed us that the amenities that attracted us would be available in November, but low and behold they were ready by the time we moved out in April. They do not take good care of the property, there are always spiderwebs and dirt all over the side of the buildings. When we moved in we have a cricket infestation...that they made us pay to fix. Any contact with the management is like dealing with elementary school children. The manager does not know what it means to be a manager as she always has to ask her bosses what she can do instead of making the decision that managers are suppose to make. On top of that they never knew what our rents were and never knew we had a dog the entire time we were there even though we paid a pet deposit. The water here is nasty, anytime that we used the dishwasher all of our cups and plates would come out very cloudy with particulate still on them. Half of the entire place is unfinished so none of the amenities that they advertise are finished. It is like they ran out of money and do not care about their tenants. And finally when we were moving out they were very difficult about the lease and us leaving...again the manager was unable to make manager like decisions for some reason. All and all this place could be nice if they pulled their crap together and got some better management. But as it stands now they are subpar and I would not suggest anyone live here until they figure out their problems.

We moved here about 1 month ago and its been nothing but headaches. They want you to believe this is a high end apartment, but the reality is that the community is dirty, trash all around the community that does not get picked up for weeks. People don't pick up their dogs waste and there are several huge dogs living here. The club house is not complete so there is no equipment like this page advertises. The pool is not built yet, so no swimming. No picnic area, no grills, no landscaping. The front office staff promises all this, but the community has not delivered. For the amount of money that is being asked for in rent, it definitely is NOT worth it.
