Property Ratings at Southmore Park Apartments
The worst apartments I’ve lived in.DONT LEASE HERE.!!!!! MY brand new 2019 CAR WAS BROKEN INTO. Would give zero if I could. The management is not helpful at all. The owner is never seen and the manager crystal refused to give any contact on the owner. Which is fine, if the management would actually help and respond to the problems in a timely manner, which they do not. For the manager to live on the property, you’d think stuff would run better. Not to mention we were without proper electricity for 3 months. Couldn’t cook for 3 months, had to use a flashlight to go to the restroom, and our refrigerator was plugged into an extension cord. Centerpoint energy charged my light bill to come out and look at the problem. We were not credited anything. And the problem was so severe it was a fire hazard to our whole building. And it still didn’t get fixed for weeks. We would call crystal and email her and even go in person to the office. There was always an excuse. Not to mention the toilets get backed up often. Also, my car was broken into at night while there was supposedly a patrol officer who was supposed to be on duty. These apartments are a joke. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. There are better places for the same price or lower. You can do better. They need to actually get some people who have some experience running apartments.
I absolutely love my apartment! My family and I just moved in a few weeks ago and it has been such a smooth experience. The management and office staff are very kind and helpful. I can tell they actually care about their residents and community. The maintenance staff is even extremely friendly and helpful. The pools are actually clean. Also has events for the residents. I would recommend this apartment community to everyone.
Me & my roommate had recently moved in and we are absolutely pleased with the apartment, great place to live in, not only do they have nice and respectful people in the front office they have great people staying here as well! very friendly and respectful environment all around. Maintenance has worked hard all around the apartments, leaving the area spotless, me and my roommate are pleased to be staying here and we sure you will to
Very down to earth and understanding manager. I haven’t had any issues with my apartment at all, and the apartments are very quiet which I like that very much. I would definitely refer my friends to come live here.
The staff is always quitting. The owner is extremely cheap. For example the air has to be fixed, sink clogs up, dish washer backs up into my sink that clogs up. Not to mention there’s a ton of fleas and bed bugs in the carpet & he doesn’t bother fixing the problem. Even in the main office the staff are always scratching due to the fleas. They mainly have a Different "manager" almost every other month. Different maintenance man every other few weeks. Don't rent here, save yourself the hassle! Public health department or the city needs to come in and shut this place down until everything is remodeled. Everything is just gross looking.

was going to get an apartment gave the deposit and my wait time went from 2 weeks to a month to get the apartment ready to move in and a month and 2 weeks later I just gave up and found somewhere else to live. Now I'm going for 2 weeks waiting to get my deposit back.......don't recommend lack of customer service
