It's been great so far. The employees are great and friendly. They have helped me with my needs. Management has been great as well. Making me feel like I do deserve to be here.
Want to overpay for mediocrity? You found it! Sure, the lobby always beeps and the lights outside are always flickering. Sure, the maintenance staff seems overworked and underpaid. Sure, its never the same people in the office. But the rent is steep, the apartment is ok, and Ive lived worse places. At least the walls are very thick, so its quiet. I also am lucky enough to have a good view; not all are so fortunate.
Overall quality of service by management has progressively gotten worse. Office is always short staffed and staff change over is frequent. It recently took 2 months to get an electrician out for 10 minutes to replace a light. The common areas remain locked and off limits during non-office hours, making them inaccessible for anyone working normal hours. Packages continue to be left all over the property with no system or notifications. Amenities like the coffee machine have gone away while others have been (like valet waste and the old package delivery service which were both terrible) have been added to our monthly rent costs without a choice. I have been waiting for over a week now to hear back about moving parking spaces and each day I'm told they'll get back to me "tomorrow." Areas of the property go uncleaned for long periods of time. Overall quality of the property has gone downhill.

Great staff! While I initially had some difficulty moving in, and the paperwork was a nightmare when going through the ARCH program, the staff were friendly and helpful.

I’ve been here almost eight months, and I really like it here. Love my apartment and love the location. My only gripe is that, in my experience, management is slow to respond to maintenance requests, even if they’re non-trivial ones.

While I did have a hard time getting into the community while using the ARCH housing program, and had my car wrongly towed away by another resident due to incorrectly assigned parking when I moved it, the staff have been supportive and helpful.

Spencer 68 has been one of many places i've lived across the country but by far has been one of my favorites. The area is great with coffee shops and stores around the block, and management is great. Noah helped me through the entire application process, was very professional and quick to get along with, and has made every part of living here easier. Any question or concerns i have he addresses in a timely manner, and keeps everything up to date.

If I were to refer a friend or family member to live here, I would have someone to talk to if they would choose to live here. The apartments are a good living standard, and a beautiful location close to Lake Washington in the blooming town of Kenmore just north of Seattle. The management is fair and professional. My kids love it here. My family and I have lived here for seven years which is the longest of any place that we’ve stayed.

Minus the garage door breaking more frequently this year. The only complaint I have is with some Neighbors but not the facility it’s self. This has been a great location and staff has more or less been very helpful.

Wouldn't recommend. They say rent is one specific number then stack a bunch of other numbers afterwards. There IS a pet rent, even though it won't be on your lease. There's absolutely no communication with the leasing staff. Take your money somewhere else.

We love living at Spencer. Everything is within walking distance. Lots of trails close by for the dogs to explore. Love living so close to the lake and surrounding area. The community is always clean and love the daily garbage pick up!

I would 100% NOT recommend. Lack of communication and responsiveness from management made my experience go from great to awful over the last year. I moved out this month after finding living there no longer worth the value. After living there since 2019.

Love spencer68! Super clean everywhere and if you ever need any repairs they are quick and thorough. The front desk staff is always sweet and helpful. Only complaint is that people always park in the no parking zone and you have to pay for the tow people to get the car out of your spot or from blocking your car. I’m lucky my car is small but bigger cars may have a problem.

The people in the office are rude and disorganized. I have many emails that have not been replied to. Many of my packages have been stolen. The grounds are always dirty and the trash is overflowing. I see a dead rat about once a week.

I lived here for 2 years. Unfortunately, this was place was sold to the giant corp. Here are the pros and the cons. As for the building itself, my husband and I really enjoyed our unit. It was quiet for the most part, we had concrete floors which is nice in the summer during high heat, residents were cordial, lots of cute pups, kid-friendly, and liked the amenities. Close public parking is available too for those who don't want to pay extra for parking spaces. It was nice to have groceries and restaurants nearby. The cons were trash is an issue most weeks. Such an issue that they started charging for trash valet service (prior to greystar), that didn't solve the issue just more fees for residents. During fall seasons more heightened noises from leaf blowing every other day. Very difficult to move in and out as they have no dedicated spaces. Everyone just sorts of uses the area next to a utility room. The new office constantly puts paper notices on doors instead of utilizing technology. Since the takeover, we, unfortunately, got caught as the end as we were also about to move out. After placing our move-out notice, we didn't hear another word from the leasing employees. I ended doing my own due diligence of taking so dozens of photos and videos of the state we left the apartment in prior to returning my keys. It has been more than 21 days since lawfully they needed to return our deposit. I have kindly reached out and no word.

This place seems great in the beginning but you will start to see how terrible the office staff really are as you live here. They don't respect your concerns or take them seriously and act like little mean girls who pick favorites. They also just sit in the office with the door closed and if you ask for them to get the package or to clean the coffee machine, that is provided for the tenants, they will complain and be reluctant to do so. They constantly hire maintenance that have no experience and do not know what they are doing. The apartments are fairly new but that doesn't mean it needs real work done within the buildings or individual homes. They also set up "more cameras" to help with the "dog poop pollution" but in reality, it is to spy on the residents. There are dog poop all over the community constantly and not to mention the smokers littering all of their cigarette butts on the community. The office staff will let anyone move in for their "bonus" and only see you as paychecks rather than human beings with respect. I would never recommend anyone living here.
You will be lured in by seemingly generous deals at move-in. Don’t fall into this spider’s web! If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. That is 100% the case at this dishonest outfit. Check out one of Kenmore’s long-standing apartment home complexes, not this opportunistic bunch. Speaking from experience, stay away.
We have lived at Spencer 68 for almost 2 years. The staff is friendly and responsive. Alex, Jazzmine and Emily are always quick to smile and assist with packages or questions. Maintenance requests are handled quickly and efficiently. Alex inherited promises made to us before she arrived and she handled the situation fairly and professionally. The location is central to everything. Downtown Seattle is easily accessible via the 522 Express Bus that runs every 10-15 minutes during rush hour. You can also escape to the mountains and rivers to the East for outdoor fun without much delay. We also use the nearby access to the Burke Gilman trail and bike to Bothell bars, local farmer markets and Seattle.

Yikes. It wasn't bad at first, there were community events (now they send a mass text 30 min after it has started to inform everyone that there is an event, with a box of crackers and some orange juice supplied), it was quiet, and clean, but then that all changed. Now I deal with people smoking outside my apartment (in a non-smoking community), being woken up at all hours of the night, and being ignored by the staff when I try to have these issues addressed. They claim to have an on site resident, and I have had the phone number confirmed multiple times, but this employee has NEVER helped. Out of the 5 times I've tried to call,there has either been no answer, or "oh, I'm that's someone else's responsibly" followed promptly by them hanging up. Helpful. When I inform the office personnel about issues, I'm always given the standard "we'll talk to them", or "oh my, we'll work on that right away", which is followed by no change, or me contacting them again in 3 days to find out why it hasn't been done yet and be fed the same line again. Then rinse and repeat that indefinitely and never have the issue addressed, guess they are hoping that the tenants will forget that there is an issue or give up. Just a few months after moving in, the microwave in that is set above the stove stopped working and it took FOUR MONTHS for them to get it fixed... Just, wow. That was with my weekly contacting them to get it addressed. Have you ever lived in a college dorm or a trailer park? I haven't, but I imagine that this place is EXACTLY what it would feel like.

We understand that as a resident, you cannot always choose your neighbors and they don't always end up being respectful of other people. We generally do everything in our power to resolve an issue with a neighboring resident before proceeding with an eviction. Unfortunately there is a certain procedure we have to follow for getting a tenant moved out due to lease violations and sometimes it can take up to two months or more for an eviction to go through. We are hoping that you have not had an issue since getting this taken care of. We will definitely try to give you more notice for our resident events. We typically post flyers a month in advance by our coffee area, elevators, and mail rooms so if you do not visit these areas often, you might not see them. We usually have a pretty good variety of food and beverages at our events as well as activities occasionally, feel free to visit our Facebook or Instagram page to see photos of previous resident events that you have not attended to get a feel for what we are all about. We pride ourselves on our resident events and encourage you to come to our Plant & Sip event in April! With appliances being brand new, we are a lot of times at the discretion of a 3rd party company for fixes or replacement on appliances. We did provide a counter top microwave while yours was getting fixed but we understand being frustrated with how long it took. We will do our best going forward to get things completed in a timely manner. We strive for continual improvement and growth, so your feedback is very important to us. My wife and I lived here for 2 years & 3 months. The first year we lived here was fantastic. This was all due to the office staff and how great they were. Shortly after we signed our second lease (for 15 more months) the entire complex staff changed and that is when Spencer 68 went downhill, and fast! Their office manager, Alex, I believe is the center of the problem. She along with the rest of the office staff that got hired after her are extremely inattentive, rude, unorganized and incompetent. With the old office staff I made it a point to enter through the main lobby and had pleasant conversation with the staff. Since Alex and her rude minions started, they hide in the office with the door shut and even when they see you approaching the huge glass office door, they will not acknowledge you until you ask for them to get your packages or ask a question. Once you do they finish their personal conversations before getting up. This is followed by an attitude like I am inconveniencing them by asking them to do their job. I’ve never had missing packages before, once this office staff started they “lost” 2 packages that show online they were signed for by the office staff. The new maintenance staff that was hired after Alex (so I am assuming she had a large part to do with who was hire) are all just as awful. The complex itself goes the, “looks nice, but super cheap” route when buying appliances and fixtures. Our bathroom light was flickering for almost 2 months before it was repaired. This was after I submitted multiple requests and reminders to have this taken care of. After finally moved out of this hellish place we walked through the unit with 2 different staff members on 2 separate occasions that said the unit is in great shape and shouldn’t be any issues. Assuming that means we should be getting the majority if not all of our security deposit back. When it came that time we were grossly surprised when they charged us $960 to replace the carpet in the ONE bedroom. When I asked why they would do that and not clean it like was stated in our lease, Alex said that the carpet was “matted down”. We did not wear our shoes in the bedroom and we vacuumed weekly, the carpet could not have been more well taken care of. So, to be changed $960 for ONE bedroom of carpet due to them buying super cheap carpet to begin with seems to me like they are looking to replace their cheap crap with their tenants security deposit’s.

Many of our original staff members have moved onto newer properties within our company or have gotten promoted into different positions. Not only is this hard on the residents but it is also an adjustment for the staff members as far as learning a new property and position here at The Spencer 68. We apologize that we failed to meet your expectations and maintain a great resident relationship. We have implemented new procedures when it comes to work orders and work order follow ups to deter any miscommunication and make sure we are completing things in a timely manner. Since moving out, we have installed new pet signs and are getting new cameras around the community to deter pet waste from being left outside. When it comes to move out charges, we try to be as fair as possible when assessing damages to the home. We always have our carpet cleaning company give us a recommendation for replacement if they don't think cleaning will restore it to it's original condition. I went to Spencer 68 in Feb and considered renting from them. Alexandria is a very unethical mg and has illegal practices going on. My bank is going back after them for the 300.00 they stole. I have in writing proof I cancelled less than 24 hrs and they lied to my bank and took my money. I will not STOP until action is taken upon Alexandria. They lie and tell you you get 2400 off your rent for the year as well as make promises about putting a island in for free in the kitchen. They are desperate people trying to take your money because they cant get these units rented. The owners need to know how they steal money. Again I and my bank are going after them. I sent a email stating I am not renting after they approved me but change the terms of my deposit. They rush you through there auto docusign beware!!. I am a ethical broker and never have I seen anything like this and so under handed. When I emailed them and said to call me and contact me as I am not interested they stated they were in a evening company function and blew me off. They dragged it out. Thank God I was smart and have it in writing. Were coming after you and your jobs you will not get away with this. DO NOT RENT FROM SPENCER ^* and Alexandria
Outstanding beginning to end. My girlfriend and I recently decided to move in together and we considered several places. I was living in Bellevue at the time and she was renting from this guys, but in an older building. They made the process straight forward and easy. The building we were interested in was still being built so we actually had to put on hardhats for the tour! Worked with Eddie at first, he showed us around and provided all the information. After talking to Daniella, the manager, we felt this was the right place for us. They made us a great deal and an amazing new apartment. As with most new construction there was some unforeseen delays and changes and Daniella really stepped up and took care of business. Since the elevator wasn't in service yet they even paid for a moving service to deal with the stairs!! And as if that wasn't enough once it was all moved they offered to order a pizza for us!! Honestly couldn't be happier here. The staff is all friendly and professional, the amenities are top notch and the prices are fair. Do yourself a favor and go see Daniella and her team.
