Property Ratings at Spencer House
Great place to live!I lived here for 8 1/2 years and would recommend these apartments to anyone! The rents are reasonable, the landlords are great, the tenants are wonderful, and the apartments are spacious!
It’s been an enjoyable 6 years that I have been living in this building! Apartment manager Judy is a real nice lady and fast in response. The building is at a very convenient location - close to major highways and a lot of grocery stores/commodity shops. The apartment unit was very specious and floor plan is great! Guests can easily find parking around the neighborhood.
My boyfriend and I lived at Spencer House for a year, and we had a great experience. The building is a little bit older, but that worked to our advantage; the walls are thick so sound doesn't travel as easily and we didn't have to hear our neighbors all the time, and the units are sturdy and well kept. Judy, the landlady, really made our living experience great. She was always quick to respond to any emails or texts, and truly went above and beyond making sure that we were comfortable in our first apartment. The apartment is close to Aurora, but far enough away where the street noise isn't really an issue, and our neighbors were all quiet and kind. The only reason we moved is because we planned pets down the line and sadly, Spencer House isn't pet-friendly.
I've lived here 6 years and had no issues. It's a quiet building and the location is very convenient if you want to access major freeways. The washer/dryer was upgraded to app enabled which was nice so you don't have to get coins. Gated garage keeps you car away from the elements. Landlord is helpful and very responsive to requests. Highly recommended!
I lived in a single bedroom and could not have asked for a better experience. Judy (the property manager) was excellent and always made sure I had everything I needed. I would highly recommend living here.
My girlfriend and I lived on the top floor of the Spencer House in a one bedroom apartment and moved due to getting another job. We had a great experience here and the apartment management was always extremely responsive and helpful. The size of the bedroom and living room were great! We had a king size bed and the bedroom still felt spacious. The living room was perfect and able to accommodate all of our things comfortably. The building itself was always clean and well kept. We enjoyed living here and would recommend it.
We lived on the third floor in a two bedroom and only moved because we bought a new home. The location is the best thing about this apartment. It's easy for commuting downtown, the E-Line bus runs a few blocks away, and shopping and groceries were super close. The apartment was clean and spacious. The living room and bedrooms were a great size. The building itself is quiet, and the neighbors are also quiet. The apartment manager, Judy, is wonderful. She provides prompt responses and has been a tremendous help during our time at the apartment. Loved living here! Will miss this apartment. -N & H
