Property Ratings at Spinnaker Court
If I could give it ZERO stars I would. I was under the impression that this would be a comforter place to call home as my first place but I soon found that to be false! Theres a list of things I could say but heres a few. The office didnt allow me to do a walk thru of my unit before paying my deposit. Shortly after moving into my unit , nobody responded to my maintenance request until I went into the office. There is only ONE trash compactor in the complex which is always full and some units have rodents (they still charge pest and trash fee) Lastly, My car was stolen from the parking lot outside of my home days before bringing my newborn home from the hospital. The office did absolutely nothing when I notified them. Nobody seen or knows anything but somehow other residents vehicles keep getting broken into and they dont have any surveillance cameras throughout the whole complex. I regret moving here. Its not what it seems
they are extremely unorganized they put me in the wrong apartment and charged me for the one I originally wanted after hours of arguing on our move in day with their office they corrected it and we then had to change the address for a 3rd time to the correct one. Once we did move in the apartment was newly “Renovated”. Many things were not installed correctly or not touched. I found that our air filter had not been changed in months if not years which is not just horrible for air quality but it also is a massive fire hazard. Our shower was leaking, our toilet seat was not attached, so on. As well there are bigger things such as our dishwasher was inoperable for the first 4 months of our lease after it was broken by one of THEIR maintenance staff. Something that we are paying for included in our rent and was not working. Now there are even more concerning issues such as follows. They often cut the water off without notice or with very limited notice leaving residents without access to water. They also enter your residence without a 24 hour notice and in many cases without a notice at all. I had a maintenance worker attempt to open my door while I was home. He didn’t knock I just heard the key turn and the door try to open but it was caught on the chain. As I hurriedly got dressed I yelled whose there, and as I turned the corner he was trying to remove the chain without saying anything. I asked again whose there and this time he said he was with maintenance and to let him in. I can’t imagine if my wife had been home alone it’s horrifying. I’ve also heard from multiple residents including a family member that lives here that they have had property stolen from inside their apartments with no sign of forced entry. Their maintenance is slow to respond leaving residents without basic necessities. But this also extends to needs, my wife and I spent a few weeks in the winter without proper heating. And now we are in summer and our AC doesn’t work. These are things we are being charged for and not receiving. It has been in the high 80s and I have not had AC in 3 weeks. The property also does not provide a trash service so garbage piles up in the streets, recently they have large dumpsters which has quelled the cumulation of trash to an extent, but they rarely call for them to be taken leaving mounds of trash surrounding these overflowing dumpsters. This property is has horrible business ethics and treating their tenants with little to no respect.
I've lived at Spinnaker Court going on 3 years now. I've actually enjoyed living here, never had any problems. Until about 2 weeks ago, when my air conditioner quit working. I put in my maintenance request in online, after 3 days I called the office. I was told I was on the list, but they only had one maintenance person who was HVAC certified. It took 10 days for them to come out, the new maintenance supervisor was very nice, professional and had it working within minutes. It worked for 2 days, then quit working again. Here I'm going on day 5 of waiting again. I know AC isn't a life or death issue, but when you work nights and sleep during the day. Sleeping with all the windows open is hard to do. Maybe if there are that many apartments with HVAC issues and there is only one HVAC certified maintenance person, they should get a contract with an HVAC company .
I lived here for 3 years. Everything was fine until it underwent new management. Suddenly, you could no longer contact the front office (mailbox always full and no one answers), you have to jump through hoops to get a maintenance order, and if you try to go to the office to talk face to face they are extremely rude

I have lived at Spinnaker Court Apartments for almost 15 years. I witnessed the ups and downs of apartment living. I love my 1 bedroom Resort and my patio. I have a place for gardening and laying out along with a quiet and clean apartment. The grounds are maintained well and have even had my trash taken to to compactor for me. The office staff is courteous and always helpful. It's been a joy to live here! Quiet areas for walking and nice neighbors to boot.
After the pool didn't open when it was suppose to summer 2018. We were told that it would be a delayed opening due to "renovations". Apparently to Spinnaker Court staff, renovating something means rendering it useless! After getting everyone's hopes up and us having to listen to a jackhammer at all hours of the morning, the pool just never opened. If you were to look at it now, it looks like there was an earthquake!!
I would not rent here unless you want poor managed apartments, terrible maintenance, and old outdated units. I lived there for serveral years and recently moved because the apartments went downhill. Don't be fooled by the new windows as the apartments are trash. They need major updates.
I love my apartment! My bathroom, room and living are all very spacious also came with new refrigerator, new stove, new carpet, and I love to call it home
I like living here. The apartments are quite and safe. The staff is friendly and they take time to care for the needs of the residents. The location is perfect. Minutes from downtown.
I have been living here for 3 months so far and I am very happy with my one bedroom apartment. The grounds are kept clean and well maintained. My apartment came with new carpet and fresh paint. The office staff has been friendly and helpful whenever I go in. My only slight complaint is that my smoke alarm has been beeping and has taken a while to get a replacement. Overall I would recommend Spinnaker to anyone.
There's something intrinsically comforting about brick apartments, I love living somewhere knowing that the Big Bad Wolf couldn't blow it down. Plus, the neighbourhood is notably lax, the community keeps to themselves in a friendly and non-reclusive sorta way, which I love. The speed bumps are a little high, but that's a first world problem. :)
I have lived at Spinnaker Court for 3 years. I love the upgrades they have done to the windows and doors. My electric bill has dropped significantly. The staff is friendly and helpful. Maintenance is decent. They could be a little faster when fixing things but they have a lot of apartments here so I'm sure they are super busy. LOVE the fenced in patio for my 2 dogs!
The apartments are very nice. The staff here are so helpful when we need help with things that go wrong in the units. The pool is just so relaxing that you could just lay out in it and get a nice sun tan.
I visited this property and I immediately fell in love with the place.I`m moving in next month. Thanks for helping find this place.
Nice apartment with environment and quite. I will be moving in next month. I will recommend this apartment to friends
