Harlingen is located on the southernmost tip of Texas, in the heart of the Rio Grande Valley near the United States-Mexico border. While Harlingen is a small town, it has plenty of charm in addition to numerous amenities. It was also named the city with the least expensive cost of living in the United States by CBS News in 2013.
Should you choose to rent in Harlingen, you will have the opportunity to see the Gladys Porter Zoo, catch a performance at the Harlingen Performing Arts Theatre, score deals at the Rio Grande Valley Premium Outlets, stroll along historic Jackson Street in Downtown Harlingen, visit any of the nine World Birding Center locations, admire the large wall murals scattered throughout town, and take a short drive to South Padre Island to enjoy the beach.
Accessible to I-2 and I-69 as well as the Union Pacific Railroad and Valley International Airport, getting around from Harlingen is a breeze.

Property Ratings at Spring Creek Apartments
Roaches everywhere! Maintenence does not fix anything just puts a bandaid on things. Manager is extremely RUDE. AC is always breaking, mold everywhere. Pool is never open and when it is. Pool is never maintained constantly filthy.
I have lived here for 3 years going on my 4th. These apartments are nice for what they are. They don't look like your newer apartments these days with modern style and design but old fashion is still good as ever. I have lived in a 2 bedroom and went on to 3 bedroom. Not all the apartments are the same 100% but a little difference is tolerable. The people around here are nice. There are mostly families here and it really just makes the experience just peaceful. The apartments themselves are pretty much plain jane. The management here is understanding and respectful. They get to my concerns in a decent timely manner. Sure there are some annoyances like water being cut off for a while, pest control and the usual A/C problems but again they are dealt with accordingly. Overall if you want a nice decent living these apartments will do just fine. You get what you pay for and most people don't seem to get that too often. Spring Creek Apartments is definitely worth the money for a good living.
I don't know about the other review someone left here but Spring Creek Apartments is nice. They have slowly been upgrading their place. Living here has it's ups and downs but is never one sided. An apartment is only as good as how you live in one. If you live a unhealthy style, your bound to have roaches. I get a few roaches here and there but it's not out of control. They do monthly pest control which is great. Enough about that. Living here, everyone is so nice. There are a lot of cats here but they're so friendly. The pool is nice and is always looking great. I love that there is the park nearby to do my jogging on the trail. I have lived here for 10 months and I got to say it's worth my money.
Worst apartment i ever lived in this place, tons of roaches, rats, ticks and other nasty bugs. The management doesn't know how to keep up with the place my dishwasher never worked windows didn't open and carpet was dirty and smelly. The bathroom was moldy and stinky, the kitchen was very outdated and ugly. Overall worst place to live never ever will go back.
