Property Ratings at Spring House at Brandywine
I’ve lived here over a year and I have greatly enjoyed the surrounding community. I feel safe playing outside with my child and walking my dog. Most of the people I have met in this community have been friendly including the awesome office staff. Maintenance is also extremely responsive. That said, the buildings are very old. The water pipes whistle so loudly that at times I am woken up by the noise. Also the windows are in desperate need of replacing. If you have children or like exercising, please only consider a first floor unit. Also if noise from neighbors walking/living could potentially be an issue, this is not the place for you. You literally can hear everything your neighbors above you are doing. The amenities look nice from first glance. When you visit please ask to look at the pool, grill, and fire pit and really look. The beautiful pool and fire pit at times are infested with an uncomfortable amount of ants or/and are just dirty. The filters on the pool do not really work even though one has just been replaced. Also my rent increased $200 after one year of living here. In addition expect to pay around 160 a month in sewer/water charges. Overall, this is not luxury living. It feels more like college dorms.
I lived almost an year over there and feel I would always want to go back in Springhouse at Brandywine and make it home! Its best in West Chester area, very near to downtown area, Giant and Shop Rite are very close by, one of the best school district too. Staff is one of the best i ever encountered, they do all efforts to make you feel taken care of. From maintenance staff to office staff; everyone do their best. Staff always welcome you warmly and solve your problem right away. Me and my family loved the place, we loved the apartment complex, amenities, apartments and surroundings, everything is so good. Very quite and calm place, like the gym inside office building and business center is open 24/7. There is complementary coffee in office which you can enjoy with snacks. Apartments are spacious, high ceiling, having windows and patios and kitchen is spacious too. We would love to go back there.
I moved into these apartments in April of 2015 after spending tons of time researching and looking for a place to live in the West Chester area. I am a young adult that has medical disabilities and needed a place close to my parents that was safe, quiet, and easy for my family to get to if I needed help. I looked at several places during my search and decided to go with Springhouse mainly because of the woman who gave me a tour when I stopped in one afternoon. She was kind, outgoing, and she was empathetic of my health situation. Not only that but the apartments were really nice and full of light- I was really excited about everything! I called to secure the apartment and the problems began immediately- a young man helped me at this point and ended up making a few mistakes which landed me in an apartment that was $300 more a month than the original apartment I wanted to rent. I was okay with this in the end as I ended up in an upgraded apartment and got some concessions which helped to even things out. However, within the first few months of living here I have had issues with the water heater causing dramatic spikes in my PECO bills, for which the management said they would not reimburse me for even though they acknowledge the issue and fixed it to prevent further issues. After three months of living here the management changed which seems to have made things worse. I have had a lot of issues with my neighbors above me being extremely loud into early morning hours and I have asked the management for help. I was told to call the cops as it wasn't their issue. Not only that but after not getting any help from management and going to my neighbor and asking them to be more mindful late at night they have now become even more ridiculous not only at 2am but all throughout the day. When I asked management about moving out early they all but packed my bags for me- and did not at all ask what the issue was that was causing my inquiry. Unfortunately, the cost to move out early is too expensive but as soon as my lease is up I will be leaving. I am disappointed that this has not worked out as I had hoped to rent long term but I don't think I will now.

This is luxury living at its finest. High ceilings and oversized windows make this the most beautiful apartment option in the area. The grounds are well cared for and there is a lot of space to enjoy the natural surroundings. Conveniently located in West Chester, PA just minutes from downtown and great shopping in Glen Mills.
