Regarded as the Horse Capital of the World, Lexington is home to a number of horse farms and all kinds of equestrian events. The second largest city in Kentucky, Lexington maintains a small-town feel and progressive atmosphere thanks to an involved community and the presence of three colleges — the University of Kentucky, Transylvania University, and Bluegrass Community and Technical College.
There is something for everyone in Lexington. Sports fans enjoy the horse races at the Red Mile and Wildcats basketball games at Rupp Arena. Outdoor enthusiasts delight in the city’s thriving cycling community, as well as hiking the many trails in and near Lexington. History buffs relish access to the Mary Todd Lincoln House and Ashland: the Henry Clay Estate. Art lovers savor the plentiful art galleries, including Lexington Art League, Institute 193, and the Lyric Theatre and Cultural Center. Shoppers appreciate having the largest mall in Kentucky, Fayette Mall.

Property Ratings at Spring House on the Park
I have lived (and at the time of this review, still do), at Spring House on Park. I moved into a spacious 2-bed 2-bath on October 2019. As a young professional working at UKY, I think Spring House is a perfect place to live. It's quiet (safe from game-day noise), is surrounded by greenery, has ample parking, has a large dog romping area, in-unit washer/dryer, in unit dishwasher, a balcony, giant bathroom mirrors, and a fireplace. They also have a gym and an office available (request a key from the leasing office). I commuted to work every morning by taking the back roads (Camelot --> Wilson Downing --> Landsdowne --> Malibu --> Nicholasville) and never spent more than 20 minutes driving to work during prime traffic hour. The leasing office (Kimberly and Johnathan) let you know about maintenance by emailing you, texting you, and putting up fliers. I'm always well informed. The leasing office is super nice and they even put on resident appreciation events. I never waited more than one business day for maintenance requests (submitted online in the resident portal) and they were always completed while I was away at work (they came and left without a trace). This is a fantastic place to live! If you like running/walking, I recommend running to Belleau Wood Park (it's a very small but quaint park). For the price and what you get, I firmly believe that you can't find a better place to live in Lexington.
We have lived at Spring House for almost 2 years. My husband and I relocated from out of state and the Manager (Ashley) was amazing in working with us via email, and while we continued to push back our move in date. She made sure that regardless of our move in date, that our apartment was ready for us. I feel safe in my apartment, I feel safe leaving my car parked in the lot and I feel safe walking around the complex alone. We live in the "Gazebo" floor plan, the den makes a great office and spare bed room when needed. We live on the ground floor and our patio opens directly into a yard area that our golden retriever LOVES. He is also a huge fan of the dog run and creek that can be found near the clubhouse. We cannot take him on a walk without him trying to pull us that direction. They also supply clean up stations for your dog which is great when he decides he needs to go and I forgot to grab my own bag on the way out! However, I think our favorite part of this apartment is the working fireplace. We spend many evenings with a fire going. We also get a lot of use out of our patio, all the buildings around us are full, but I never feel like there are too many people around. We also have a garage, which has been a great space for extra storage and to keep our newer vehicle. We have taken advantage of the vegetable garden, and had fresh produce all summer long. The pool and fitness room are great as well, everything you need right in one space. I also have to brag on the maintenance team. We have only had a few issues that needed address since we moved in, but one Sunday evening our washer started to over flow! It dumped water all over the laundry room and the kitchen. Once we got it unplugged we called the emergency line and started grabbing towels. They were to us in minutes, and not only took care of the washer but cleaned up all of water, making sure to move the other appliances to get it all cleaned up. They even brought their own towels so we didn't have to continue to use ours. Within 24 hours everything was fixed and returned to normal. At this point our apartment is beginning to feel small and we have discussed moving, but haven't done so yet because of the fact that we simply enjoy where we live now and don't want to leave!
Wonderful apartments! Beautifully landscaped, and well maintained, the office staff is very friendly, and the pool is awesome! Great place to live, and reasonably priced! My dog loves all of the grassy areas!
Property Manager at Spring House on the Park, Responded To This Review
Thank you so much! We try very hard to keep everyone happy! We hope your dog continues to enjoy the open space! Thank you, Management
I am in a 2 bed 2 bath apartment and the rent is in the average range for this style of apartment. My rent is around $800/month. This was also the nicest one for this price! Great and safe location in Lexington, very friendly staff, and also great amenities. The only complaints I have about the apartment are the walls are extremely thin (bad if you have a neighbor with newborn TWINS!), and also the buildings are wired so that you can ONLY get internet and cable through the providers chosen by spring house. The internet providers are Suite Solutions (who I use), and DirectTv. I personally do not like the quality of the internet that I receive and my neighbors have said bad things about DirectTv as well. Besides those two things I really like these apartments, and the staff!
