Property Ratings at Spring Lake I/II
If I could give 0 stars I would. When we first went there it seemed perfect. However, the apartment they show you is completely different from what you get. Luckily we thought to go look at the actual apartment before signing a lease, and it was FILTHY!! Not to mention missing fridge and oven racks and ancient utilities. We drove 2 hours and had to stay at a hotel for an apartment entirely different from what we were shown. We tell them and they said they would ‘touch up’ the filthy apartment and they would call us the next day. NEVER HAPPENED. We eventually had to get another apartment because we had no choice. We call to tell them we’ve changed our minds and what was wrong and they put the blame on us! We were transferred to someone else when we asked for our deposit back. The guy proceeded to blatantly lie and say that he called us when we have call records to prove otherwise. He then said it was never guaranteed to be ready in the 2 weeks they had to get it ready. Funny, because we had an appointment to sign the lease and move in on that day. We’ve now spent almost $300 more to stay in the hotel for several more days trying to figure this out and now they won’t at least refund our deposit. Terrible people, terrible apartments. STAY AWAY!
My husband rented from Spring Lake Apartments in Russellville, Arkansas for about six months. He had a one year lease but due to work issues, broke the lease. Spring Lake Apartments gave him a bill for $1434. We were grateful that the bill was not inclusive of the full second half of the year for which he signed up. However... they refused to accept a personal check for payment. We mailed them two money orders, totaling the full $1434. However, two months later we receive notification from a collections agency accusing us of being delinquent for the $1434. We now believe that Spring Lake Apartments in Russellville, Arkansas required payment in the form of a money order so that they could SCAM us out of another $1434. The burden of proof is now on our shoulders. Heaven help anyone who does business with Springlake Apartments but does not keep their money order receipts. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE. (The man running the place is named "Danny". He has a reputation for being quite a rude and disrespectful man.) We are going to investigate this issue and find out who indeed cashed and fraudulently pocketed our money orders. Aside from this SCAM, the apartment has a spider, beetle and roach problem. My husband often woke up in the middle of the night with one of these BUGS WALKING ON HIM! And though the apartment managers spray from time to time for bugs, it does NOT help. The infestation continues. DO NOT RENT FROM SPRING LAKE APARTMENTS. HORRIBLE bugs and completely DISINGENUOUS management!
