The University of Tennessee is undeniably the focal point of Knoxville, and the school’s orange and white motif is everywhere. Largely thanks to the big student population, Knoxville’s nightlife scene is among the best in the region. Traditionally, the bars and restaurants along Cumberland Avenue - or "The Strip" – have been the preferred night spots in town; while The Strip remains popular, redevelopment in downtown and in the Old City has spread out the after-hours revelry. With so many students in the mix, the local rental market is packed with affordable options as well, so it’s easy to find a budget-friendly house, condo, or apartment just about anywhere in town.
But the city is much more than your typical college town, offering a charming environment surrounded by gorgeous hills and forests, with a generous helping of Southern personality. If boating is your thing, join famous Tennessee Vol Navy as they cruise the river behind Neyland Stadium on game days.

Property Ratings at Spring Meadow Apartments
I've lived at the Spring Meadow Apartments for going on 3 years and overall i have been pleased with my stay. I'm on the back part of the complex which is super private for an apartment complex and i usually don't have any trouble getting my favorite parking spot. The amenities are fine although a bit outdated. I will need a new tub soon after years of dirt and grime tend to add up. I love the gym and have used the pool a time or two. The proximity to downtown and other conveniences is excellent and my favorite part is that it's really quiet. My stay was going swimmingly until an indoor smoker was moved into the building i stayed in. This was extremely upsetting to me and made sure to make that known to the property manager. They pretty much blew me off and basically told me it was my problem to solve or they could move me to another apartment. They did attempt to "seal" the apartment to keep smoke from escaping, but it didn't fix the problem. The worst is that i didn't even live directly next to or above this tenant and smoke still made it's way into my apartment. The neighbor below me who lived on the other side of the wall from this tenant had it even worse. She has a 1-year old daughter. Eventually i went directly to the smoker and appealed to her better nature due to the 1-year old. She ultimately decided to quit smoking inside, but was very angry i had approached her. I was and still am upset that the SMA put me in that position and it is for that reason i can only rate this apartment complex as a 3-star.

We are happy to have found this community. We sold our home to one of our daughters and wanted easier, maintainence free living. (That accepted pets). We still have a daughter living with us. She travels frequently and so she loves the amenities here at SPRING MEADOW. The pool and workout facility are favorites of our entire family. The ONLY reason we didn't give 5 stars is that we HATE with a passion THE SPEEDBUMPS!!!!!
This is my first single bedroom apartment in Knoxville. The rent is very reasonable for the square footage of the space. The kitchen and fixtures are a but outdated, but everything was clean and working great (still is) so I could care less. I have not heard one peep from any of my neighbors, and I share walls with three different ones. This is a HUGE plus for me. The apartment staff is friendly and do not contact you with unnecessary phone calls and memos which I also appreciate. I love that it's less than 15 minutes to downtown, and surrounded by grocery stores, a mall, a movie theatre, and food places (all of these literally a 3 minute drive). It is quite the drive to my job in Cedar Bluff which is the only real downside for me. Although I don't take advantage, they have a pool and pretty nice gym and are very pet friendly. Overall I would recommend this complex to someone who likes a relaxing and quiet atmosphere.
Great place to live! Quiet neighborhood with a great staff! The only thing that I could say would be a negative would be the crazy amount of speed bumps in the complex. They really do damage on cars after awhile.
I moved in exactly 1 year ago and I am still as happy as the day I moved in. I have lived in a few apartments in the area and this is the first that feels like home. The staff is excellent and so is the response to any maintenance issue even the smallest of requests. The apartments and grounds are clean, safe, and quiet. I highly recommend this community. I feel confident you will enjoy your home as much as I am mine.
