Kernersville is a quaint city with a southern feel located roughly 20 miles northwest of Downtown Greensboro. It’s situated at the heart of an area referred to as the Piedmont Triad, close to many local and family-friendly attractions. Encompassed by numerous universities and a great school system, education opportunities are a major draw to this community.
Being slightly removed from the city scene, Kernersville is able to maintain its charming and small-town feel that residents find both refreshing and convenient. Rich in history, cafes, and culture, Kernersville is an exciting and desirable place to live.

Property Ratings at Springbrook Apartments
Springbrook Apartments is the worst community living experience I have ever had. The community allows smoking and your apartment and all your belongings will be ruined by the noxious odor of cigarette and weed smoke. Management is horrendously rude. Window units and baseboard heating. Car break-ins are prevalent. Apartments are old and dirty.
Substantial rent increases every time lease is up. Bugs are bad, drifting smoke from neighboring apartments smells like they smoke right inside your own apartment. Pools were closed most of the summer. Over-flowing dumpsters are left for days without being emptied. Management does nothing to address issues. You have to get a money order each month for rent. It's way overpriced for apartments made in 1985. The maintenance crew can't fix anything properly if they come out at all. I literally have nothing good to say since the new management took over.
Since the new owner took over my rent has gone up twice. Now have water bill and pet rent.
My fiancé and I went to tour the apartments because we were very interested. When we arrived, not only was the person who came out the door seemed nonchalant, but she was on the phone the WHOLE time we were touring. We did not need to know your personal business. We could not even ask question because she was on her phone. The place overall, was very nice but I WILL NOT tolerate the unprofessionalism! We will not put in an application here! They need to learn some boundaries!
I have NEVER had such rude people in the office. The manager should be fired. When the new owner bought the place, it all went down hill. These were build in 1985 people. Full of mold and poor quality. You hear your neighbors do everything. There might as well not even be a wall to separate apts. The floors squeak also. Not worth the price they want you pay.
I will say that the property is decent for the price. It's quiet. That's about the only good I can say. I have has issues with the office from day one - I was promised upon filling out an application, new cabinets countertops and appliances. I was not allowed to tour an existing property. Upon arrival, I was told that nothing was getting updated for some time to come. I had issues getting my keys on top of that. Paying first months rent, I was told that I could put a check in the after hours box. Of course, they weren't able to find it and asked for another, after putting papers on my door. I was warned about the management here and I should have listened. Here's to hoping it gets better in the next year.
We toured a downstairs, one-bedroom apartment with a dishwasher. Their listing says washer and dryer and dishwashers are included. None of those things are included. Not to mention they "forgot" that our unit was on the second floor until after the paperwork was signed. The apartment is not bad, but it is not at all what we agreed to. The sewer and trash service are also not included in the rent as advertised. This was a pretty shady deal, and I would not have signed this lease if they had been honest with us from the start, but we got screwed, and now we're stuck here for a year. The rent advertised is also well below the actual rent, before all those things are added on that were supposed to be included.
We LOVE Springbrook, my husband and I. He moved in about 1 year ago when they had an opening, had good credit and made 3x the monthly rent payment. I moved in 4 months later and they had no problem adding me (unemployed) to the lease b/c he made 3x the payment. Maintenance staff are so kind and the office is super friendly!! We also feel safe in the neighborhood and are super close to the fire station.
They declined me and my fiancé our first home together. I make nearly 5k a month and perfect credit but due to her not having credit and making 3x the rent a month we was declined. So better off look elsewhere.
Defiantly nice quiet place but will not work with you if you don't have good credit. Not service dog friendly either. I feel like I was denied more because of my service dog and pervious homeless status than I was on my credit.
