Property Ratings at Springdale Apartments
I went through the process of applying for one of their apartments and paid the $25 fee and received a response that more information was needed and to reach out. I did that and never received a response, effectively taking my $25 with no follow-up, explanations, etc. I was warned by someone to avoid these places, but I need options, and they had like 20 open apartments according to their website, so I went for it. Should've listened to the advice I was given. Either they don't have these openings, or they don't care to lease them.
Apparently under new management since April 2023 - will offer a quote, after you fill out the income section of the application they adjust the rent price prior to your payment! They just want to max out your ability to qualify! (Make as much as possible from you where you barely qualify) Office staff very unorganized; hopefully improves as they adjust - I had to take a hard pass on the place. Assigned parking would have been great!
My boyfriend had already lived in these apartments for a full year. This year I decided to move in with him. To get a jump start we went to the leasing office in April, gave them all the needed paperwork, to just add my name to his lease renewal. After 3 months, over 10 calls to the leasing office, lies about them waiting for my background check, and them loosing all my paperwork, I was finally added. Now we are struggling with maintenance requests getting marked as completed in our portal when no one has come out and looked at the issues we are reporting. **UPDATE** they came and fixed what was wrong which was our garbage disposal but left the sink running for at least an hour after they had left. I came home to water all over the kitchen floor. Maintenance tried saying it was not them, that it HAD to be someone else. But I was at work, and so was my boyfriend. Just ridiculous. The apartment itself is nice, and in a great part of Waukesha. But this management company needs to step in and help the property manager because he cannot keep up with office and property issues. Several issues with the heat. When I first moved in it was always 80, not matter how low I'd turn down the thermostat. Called, and the HVAC company they use said a valve was shot. Assumed they fixed it, and it cooled down to mid 60s. Then when the storm hit, it dropped down to about 50s. Had them come back, and they now said it was shut off. Now it's turned back on, and very hot again. Pool has been closed since my boyfriend has been here, so about 2 years, there is no club house in site. Stopped doing laundry here. Laundry is located in the basement with poor lighting, 3 washers and 3 dryers for a whole building. If all 3 are going at once, you'll come back down to water and dirt EVERYWHERE. They never clean the laundry facility, so it just feels gross. Yes rent is cheaper than most places here, but it's not worth it.
These apartments are complete trash! Rented last summer 2021, never had the pool open. This place is disgusting, would NOT RECOMMEND to my worst enemy! Place is a dump!
This is the worst apartment complex I’ve ever lived in. No locks on exterior doors of the apartments and windows don’t have locks either. Can’t control your heat so it’s either extremely HOT or extremely COLD. A/C is super weak and doesn’t reach the bedrooms so you’re stuck miserable most of the year either hot or cold. Maintenance requests take weeks to even get tended to and rarely is anything actually fixed. Can’t reach management and the office is never open. Cops are always here for one reason or another. Nobody picks up after their pets so grass is infested with dog crap. Apartments say remodeled but they just put in hardwood in part of the apartment, the rest still looks outdated and run down. Management had changed over 3 times in the past 6 months so nobody knows who to contact. Stay far away from this place!
I have lived here for over a year now. They did not open the pool in the summer. One of the neighbors told me they haven't opened the pool in over 3 years now. They close the fitness center at 5pm everyday. They have not been able to tell me why I cannot control my own heat. First winter I was told to get window seals. I had to buy two separate heaters to stay warm. Air conditioner works but it will not reach to your bed room so summer are also brutal and very hot, you'll need your own fan and they do not allow you to get your own 2nd AC. The office is only open 2 days a week it seems like and they take forever to get back to you. Your packages are always at risk of being stolen, building doors are not secured so anyone can walk into your building. Laundry rooms are all the way in the basement and you only get two washing machines for an entire building. Rent is not at all what it's worth, but they still raised my rent due to the "market". They now have a new online portal where you will be charged a 2.33% "convinience" fee to pay online with your credit card, only other option is a check.
the apartment is great with carpet,free heater and free outdoor parking right in front of your building where i can see my husband wave goodbye to me , right in front of bus stop where i see my son go and come from school ,garbage and recycle trucks everyday,24 hours maintainance facility, lovely office staff, lovely smiles from neighbours and great walking area around the apartments with bikes and lovely swimming pool with 45 persons facility and great party hall and yes lovely fall trees and greenery around ,silent and peace area for family
