Springfield is rich with American history -- one of the final American Revolution battles, the Battle of Springfield, was fought here in 1780. The town is still home to historical landmarks from the Revolution, including the Cannon Ball House (built in 1741), which is now a museum. After British troops burned the First Presbyterian Church, it was rebuilt -- but much of the original structure remains. Today, Springfield is one of the state's most popular townships -- it was even named one of the "Best Places to Live" by Newsweek Magazine in 2010. Springfield is also home to one of the nation's top-ranking high schools, Dayton High School.
The Baltusrol Golf Club, founded in 1895, has hosted several major golf tournaments, including the 2016 PGA Championship. The private golf course is ranked as one of the best in the country by Golfweek Magazine. Springfield is home to several beautiful parks, including Lenape Park, Hidden Valley Park, and Rahway River Parkway.

Property Ratings at Springfield Gardens
We lived here for two years, and it was a really good experience. Maintenance was always responsive and helpful. We left to get more space but would definitely recommend. Only con was noisy upstairs neighbors- wish the sound proofing between floors was better, and wish it was more pet friendly. But otherwise loved living here.
- I do not recommend renting this place!! - Leasing office staff do not know the basics. Quoted a rent price for a unit 3 days before the showing and on the day of says the rent is actually $100 higher and lies that the garage is not included as stated on the website. - Asks prospective tenants pay $50-100 before they are willing to show a unit. - Still have yet to receive my deposit 3 months after I moved out.

If you moved out then it is very odd you would be calling us for another unit. This review seems fishy.
We have had a great experience at Springfield Gardens! We have been living in a townhouse here for almost 2 years, and are moving out because we bought our own place. The townhouse is modern and well maintained, the landscaping is great, and the staff in the leasing office and in the maintenance department are friendly and helpful.
I have only good things to say about Springfield Gardens! I recently relocated here from Arizona and am very impressed. The community is nice, they keep the grounds neat and landscaped, and during the recent snow storm - the crew was working very hard to remove the snow promptly. My kids play at the little play ground and I often take walks on the path surrounding the development. My neighbors are so friendly and helpful in giving me tips about the area, and where to get some great wine (Stew Leonard's..right around the corner :-)) I live in a two bedroom apartment now, but will probably upgrade to one of their town homes next year. I have done a lot of research, and nothing really compares in service and convenience of location, not to mention fabulous apartments, as it does here. So glad I found this place, highly recommend!
I lived at Springfield Gardens for a little over a year and have had a good experience. The maintenance team is approachable, helpful and take the time to discuss issues with you. The location is convenient, and although it's by the highway, I don't hear the traffic that much. The apartments are clean and spacious with new appliances. I really like the hardwood floors and the pattern of the granite countertops.
Very nice place to live. Daniella, who heads the leasing office is extremely professional and courteous - she always return calls and is always knowledgeable about vacancies in spite of her hectic schedule. She's hands-on in managing the complexities that arise in such a huge community. Speaking of the community it's almost a small town to itself and very safe especially for families with small children. First class in all aspects but management should try to keep annual increases to a minimum.
Newer development with nice mix of units and neighbors. Good value compared to other communities. Apartments are spacious. Great location for commute into NYC. Love the private garage space and storage room! No gym or pool but there is a NBD gym within easy walking distance.
I am very disappointment that Springfield Gardens does not allow pets. I have a 5 lb teacup poodle and I am distressed they have this rule. They should lighten up and let people enjoy their lives with their pets.
It was very difficult to get into the leasing office, staff not good about getting back you. Staff wasn't real friendly. When I finally did see it a couple of weeks ago, it was nice, but not quite worth the money.
This is by far, the best rental property for town homes I have come across. Central location, safe neighborhood, great school system, brand new units, and all reasonably priced, I am so glad to finally have my own private garage and a w/d in the town home! No more laundromats! The staff is friendly and professional, if there are any maintenance issues- the guys take care of it right away. I would definitely recommend Springfield Gardens to anyone who is in the market for a town home rental.
I've lived here for about 7 months so far and have no complaints. The apartments are newly built and have all new everything. The town of Springfield is also very nice. Everyone in the leasing office has been friendly and helpful if I've needed assistance.
I will be moving into Springfield Gardens in November. The townhouse is beautiful and spacious, and clean! The office staff person, Daniella was just fabulous and very friendly. I would recommend to anyone to come check out this nice "community"
