Property Ratings at Springwood Park Apartments
I've dealt with lots of rude apartment managers over the years but this guy needs to take a few lessons in customer service. It's his way or the highway and the customer doesn't matter one bit.
The maintenance doesn't know what they are doing. The management don't take care of issues, pool is green w/pump out more than it works & full of rats. The lighting is poor, and they don't have the special bulbs they changed out on front doors. The hot water is out more than it works. And the manager would blame it on someone breaking into the room with the boiler and turning it all the way up.
Pool is green all year around. Rats, roaches are a problem. Trash is everywhere, very poor management/property owners. Poor lighting, no hot water at night. No maintenance crew onsite, no type of security. Not safe place for children.
These are the worst property owners and management this property has ever had. The property is never cleaned. Trash is always over the ground. Old furniture and trash is always around the dumpster. The worst residents ever. The gate is always broke. The buildings are being damaged. Worst maintenance ever. The mailboxes are broken. People throw other people mail on the floor. Trash is always on the mailroom floor. I no longer feel safe living here. They raised the rents for us to live in POVERTY. They do not care about anything but money.
No repairs from the water damaged my unit received during Harvey, but they made sure to raise my rent $70! They haven't even checked to see if I have mold and I've been sick ever since. This place is old and falling apart! Don't let the new paint fool you! I've had water leaks from the ceiling in my kitchen each year for the three years I lived here! Many times we are without electricity, water, and hot water due to old systems. Once I went a week without a/c in June! I was nine months pregnant at the time! The only thing this place has going for them is the location. Find somewhere else to rent! The property manager cares for NO ONE! COLD AND HEARTLESS!!!
The two men incharge of maintenance here always have a quick response time when you have a problem with your home. Very professional and organized and they get everything done as fast as possible. No complaints here, theyre extremely helpful.
Lived there two years, went through two different managment companies. After the second company took over, they did renovations and talked about how much better it was going to be but that never happened! They were just as bad if not worse than the last managment. Then when your lease was up, raised your rent so they could try to make their money back from the renovations they did! By then it was too expensive! I can get a 3 bedroom for the price they were charging for a 2 bedroom! Let me tell you it's just not worth it !!! Nothing but a big headache !!!
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY AT Springwood Park (formerly Bermuda Woods). Overall this is the worst experience ever. The old owner was horrible with customer service and now the new owner is no better than the last. Noise can be heard through the walls from neighbors music or bad children beating the walls and nothing is done about noise complaints. Safety where? it is so dark in the complex and especially the street parking outside. The park across the street always has drug dealers and creepy guys looking at the kids and I choose not to take my children there. Maintenance where? our A/C went out and they blamed it on us. This is an old place with old mechanical issues and it took maintenance a month to give us cool air in this hot Texas weather. Oh an then the hot water heater is broken and again its our fault. And it took 3 weeks to fix. The old pocket doors to the bathrooms that never worked when we moved in took a year to fix because its our fault they don't work. I can go on and on there is still a list of pending problems, little things like loose faucet handles, doors that don't close or get stuck, cabinet doors loose, and light fixtures that work when they want to work which seems like bad wiring. These things still have not been fixed. The staff as always true to their charm could care less about customer service and your living environment health or well being. As long as your rent is paid, they could care less about any problems that need fixing. Speaking of rent, don't ever use you card or account info to make any payment what so ever. If you make a onetime payment online, they will automatically enroll your information to auto bill pay and charge your account twice a week, NOT once a month, without your authorization to do auto pay. The will not give your money back if charged more than once per month for rent. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY AT Springwood Park (formerly Bermuda Woods).
This apartment has a picnic area with Bar-be-cue pits. We have a swimming pool. We are offered Basic Cable through Comcast. It is being renovated to meet the residents needs. It has a park across the street for walking, jogging, and a playground for kids. It has many stores and restaurants located nearby. It also has two available bus lines.
Springwood Park is Bermuda Woods with a new sign and a new exterior paint job. It is cheap per square foot for good reasons. Not much has been updated or replaced since they were built, decades ago. The owner has hired a new management company, but they have limits on what they can do. Long term residents tell me that this management group is an improvement. From what they say about how things got to this shape, I believe them.
