Property Ratings at Spruce Village
I have lived here on the first floor for 2 1/2 years and I feel very safe here being a single woman. It's quiet unless you live by the pool and the staff is always available to me. I appreciate them especially in this time of Covid-19.

We're so glad to hear it! Thank you for sharing your experience, and thanks for being one of our neighbors.
We lived here for one year and are very happy we do not any longer. We do not recommend Spruce Village Apartments. Moving out, we didn't expect to receive a bill for additional payment required for cleaning. They wanted $120 extra on top of our $250 deposit which was apparently used to pay for a full cleaning. That is $370 for ONE year of residence. They also conveniently attached the cleaning package options and prices from the company they hired. They charged us more than what the company charged them. They also charged us the price for a two bedroom apartment cleaning (we lived in a one bedroom). The invoice did not mention the $500 pet deposit that we had paid them. It took a long time to get in touch because no one was taking calls even during business hours. Days later, after a long conversation, I got the manager to acknowledge my pet deposit and change the charges for a two bedroom cleaning to a one bedroom. She said she'd look into adjusting things but she'd have to find the invoice first, but that the price "might change" because she'd have to check if there were more damages like stains. We don't feel that it's right to try and find more damages when you didn't find any the first time. The list of damages had already been sent and for better or for worse shouldn't be conveniently adjusted afterwards. I was concerned she would want to hang up, call us back and say she found more damages. Two months after moving out, I received the updated invoice and my deposit refund in the mail today. Spruce Village/Cannon Management has once again managed to show that they are either incredibly negligent or simply unethical. In the updated invoice, despite correctly amending that I was owed my pet deposit, they raised the cost of cleaning by another $50. This makes no sense--I should have been billed an amount that they had already been charged by the cleaning company, and this amount should not be subject to change at their personal whims. As it stands, this feels like they raised the cost to offset the fact that they would now have to return part of my deposit to me. Note that this was also not what was promised during our previous conversations, when I specifically went over each and every change that should have occurred on the invoice. After receiving this once again incorrect invoice, I tried to call both Spruce Village and Cannon Management, and as usual, they are extremely difficult to reach. None of my calls have been returned.

We're very sorry to hear of any frustrations this isolated mistake may have caused, but we appreciate your feedback. Because there are some serious discrepancies here and we don’t feel comfortable divulging any of your personal information via this public forum, we invite you to contact the office to speak with our Community Manager. We'd sincerely appreciate the opportunity to discuss your move-out charges in more detail. Thank you, The Spruce Village Apartments Team
DO NOT LIVE ON SPRUCE STREET!!! I'm currently living here and almost everyday people keep hopping over my patio to look for things to steal and everyday the door to my water heater is open. The office doesn't care anytime I try to complain about it, also every year they raise the price of rent without adding anything to accommodate with the higher rent. PLEASE DO NOT LIVE HERE. IT'S POORLY OPERATED

I have lived in this complex since 2003. It is located close to schools, UCR, grocery stores and now a McDonald's. The entire staff are very friendly and efficient. Whenever I need anything repaired, they response very quickly. Yes, parking can be an issue at times.

Thank you so much for the great 4-star review! We're so glad to hear you've enjoyed your experience living at Spruce Village. Thanks for your feedback! The Spruce Village Team
This is a very nice place to live pet friendly and I love that thank you! The living quarters have all new upgrades very clean and freshly painted and brand new carpets. The staff is wonderful very nice the maintenance crew are nice and very fast. I have only 1 complaint the parking here is awful there's just not enough room for our guest to park or even us when we come home from work after 5 p.m. Other than that I LOVE living here. P.S. Thank you for the ice cream social that was a lot of fun.!!!
Location is clean, quiet and everyone is pretty cool, and Occasionally the apartment complex throws cool pool parties with prize raffles
I’ve lived at Spruce Village since July 2015. Staff is very nice. If you are a Pet Owner, this apartment complex is Pet Friendly. Whenever I had a Maintenance issue they resolved it within a timely manner.
Kind staff, very friendly and welcoming. Lovin the icecream social
We both love living here at Spruce village apartments, Very nice neighborhood freeway close great staff clean living area close to shopping centers and you UCR college. Very nice and quiet dog friendly
I have lived in my apartment at pruce village for more then 2 years now! I love it! They are peacful and quiet. I never hear my neighbors from inside the apartment, but can socialize with them when i go outside! Everyone is friendly and nice! I will live here till i buy a house far as i am concerned
My first apartment ever is Spruce village, I was sorta picky with the area especially with my daughter and wife. I don't like living in the ghetto, so far Spruce Village is perfect. Very quiet no loud cars, no loud dogs, and it's nice and clean. I also haven't heard any loud music, so that's a good thing. I never had to make a complaint, the maintenance are fast to fix things, park is okay, depending how many cars you have. Other than that, this place is awesome!
Unlike other places I've lived, Spruce Village is actually a nice place to reside. The staff is unbelievably nice and caring and maintenance is fast with repairs. I would have given 5 stars but the only thing I had a problem with was the parking issue. The parking was completely too small for such a large complex. The assigned parking would be violated by visitors because all of the visitor spots are constantly filled. There were plenty of times my Aunt has come home from work and had nowhere to park at 2:00 am because someone was in her assigned spot. Besides that, its a great place to live.
I've been here for 3 years and have just now decided to move on and find a bigger place. It's near UCR, so many restaurants, places to go to and things to do within a 1 mile radius.
Nice, personable manager but not quick to follow thru with requests to fix things or issues. LImited parking and a bit overpriced for small square footage
This is a nice place to live its quite and very inviting. It does have flaws such as the lack of parking if you have two cars and work orders sometimes do not get answered. Perks are having a washer and dryer and its pet friendly.
