Property Ratings at St. Germaine
If you know like I know you would not stay here. The apartment they show you in a tour is not like the apartment you will move into. BEFORE you sign the lease ask to look at the apartment you will be moving into. MOLD, ROACHES, BUG. OLD MATTED CARPET. BEAT UP BROKEN CABINETS AND APPLIANCES NO NEW PAINT. This apartment is very old with no new appliances or upgrades

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience didn't meet your expectations, that is not what we strive for. All of our units are move-in ready; carpets have been cleaned, painted, and ready for a new tenant. Although pests are uncommon, our team would be happy to address the issue once reported to our team. Please contact our team if you are still experiencing these issues.
Office staff does everything with their power to help you out. Sophia especially made my move in process easy, and gets a fast response to maintenance issues. Now if only the office people did the actual maintenance. Smh. I was able to dodge alot of these horror stories by getting an “upgraded” unit. When problems for me arose, they were fixed.

The apartment staff is hands down the WORST !! They are rude , they all have nasty attitudes , they are non-helpful. Nasty disposition when you walk in the door , don't even say hello and look you in the eye. The head manager and her sidekick are the worst of them all. It's like they tag team whose going to be the most unprofessional and rudest of the day. The apartments are rundown and dirty even though they are supposed to be clean and somewhat upgraded. I found all this out on a walk through. I will be contacting the home office to let them know how horrible the staff is as well as sending them the pictures of the condition of the apartments. This needs to stop!! Rent is too high for this type of foolishness!!

We sincerely apologize that your experience with us was not a positive one. However, we do have policies in place that all community members must follow. We do everything we can to ensure the comfort of our residents and community members and encourage you to contact our office if you have any questions regarding our policies.
I wish I can give them 0 STARS! The worst place to ever live. These are some trifling people. The office staff is rude and ill-mannered and the property manager, who is NEVER there and hard to reach! I never even met the property manager while staying here LOL! Maintenance are not trained and do not know how to fix anything and lazy! ROACHES EVERYWHERE! Look up a German roach and that’s what these apartments are filled with! And MOLD and leaks! This place is pure trash! RUN WHILE YOU CAN!

This is an awful place with an awful staff with horrible attitudes. They do not wish to provide anyone any help and will continue to give you dead ends. Sarah and Melina have the worst attitudes and don’t care about anyone.

We're saddened by this negative characterization of our team members. We want to assure you that we value each and every one of our residents, and that we're dedicated to creating the best possible living situation for them. We would appreciate a second chance to impress you with our excellent service, so we encourage you to reach out to the office at your convenience.
I’ve been here for over two years and I can’t wait to move. My ceiling keeps leaking and all they do is spray stuff over it and that doesn’t do anything. I’ve been trying to get them to come and spray for rodents for MONTHS and nobody has came the office workers keep telling me that I’m on the list. Maintenance is always low on staff. But they always want their rent on time though! DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! I can’t wait to move to another complex. I’m over this place and their workers.
Property Manager at St. Germaine, Responded To This Review
We sincerely apologize you haven't had a happy experience here. While our hard-working maintenance crew is committed to resolving all reported issues in a timely manner, requests are prioritized by order received and severity of need. We understand pests can be more than a nuisance and invite you to call the office so we can schedule the appropriate treatment. We would appreciate the opportunity to continue to work with you to address your concerns and hope to hear from you soon.
They are literally doing everything they can to keep us from being able to move they accused us of having insufficient funds even though we had well over our rent amount and the bank said they literally never even tried to get the money from the account. Their maintenance is horrible and don't even know what they are doing. One of them came to fix a leak in our shower and brought a hammer to "fix" it and made it worse. The people in the office have garbage attitudes and they will find any way to get more money out of you. I have seen another tenant go off on them because 2 of the office workers gave her different rent prices so they pretty much charge you what they want. So don't even trap yourself.
Property Manager at St. Germaine, Responded To This Review
This feedback is alarming, as our team works diligently to provide all residents with a pleasant place to call home. We apologize for any miscommunication that occurred between us. Our team works hard to provide great service at every opportunity while maintaining high degrees of respect and professionalism and our maintenance team strives to resolve our residents requests in a timely and efficient manner. We regret this hasn't been your experience. We understand you have not been happy with the service you have received from our team and would appreciate the opportunity to continue to work with you to address your concerns. Please reach out to our office at your convenience.
People are literally rating this complex 5 stars because they aren't paying attention but they are saying it's horrible. The rating is void! We have a horrible experience. There's roaches, mold, rats, and you WILL be hot. The AC doesn't work. They won't replace it no matter how many times u ask. They will do tiny repairs that will stop the issue for a week too and then it'll come back and you'll have to keep calling them. Then once they're tired of you calling that's when they'll start rejecting or ignoring your calls. Plus the staff here is horrible. There's no customer service skills and they're all rude and ignore. Save yourself the trouble and skip this place. It's not worth it no matter how desperate you are. They're lucky I don't sue them. Other did for reasons even worse than my experience

We do our best to offer our residents excellent living experiences, so it's disappointing to see this review. We would appreciate the opportunity to discuss your experience and work through any concerns you may have together, and ask that you give us a call at your earliest convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
Apartments are horrible with mold and mildew, we have been sick since we’ve moved in, so happy to be finally leaving. The office staff is rude and incompetent, and will try to attach numerous fees when you’re ready to leave. There is a roach problem!
i wish i would’ve believed the reviews before i moved in here! First let me start off with the roaches it’s millions of them! They crawl all in your bed it’s horrible the office always said they were going to come spray but it never happened. I put out roach foggers it seemed to only make it worse. The bathroom ceiling started to cave in water was running through our roft literally, it would stop for a while then start back running again it took them 3 months to fix this all they did was patch the holes and paint over it. The air broke 3 Times out of the 10 months i was living there. It takes them forever to fix the problem it got so bad that i had to break my lease it seemed like the apartment was breaking down piece by piece i WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPLEX nice on the outside but the inside is a total different story it’s not worth the price. The walls are to thin the stomping upstairs was out of control you couldn’t take a nap during the day. It was always a leak coming through the ceiling from upstairs, if you move i promise you will regret it.
They have mold on the ceiling and they only stray paint over it! When you call to report problems they never come fix it. They show you a model of the apartment and it's nothing like the apartment they move you in. Everything falling apart in there worst apartments ever!!!!
I am the past resident of Building G, horrible stay. 13 month lease and my apartment was full of mold. Bathroom door fell on day two, maintenance said the entire doorframe was rotted. Door never was repaired, I had to hang a curtain for privacy. Leak from second floor I was told three different reasons with it being the toilet from upstairs overflowing, and maintenance took forever to make it a cover up job. Took about two months or so for them to clean the a/c unit because it leak into the wall, a/c, ceiling and carpet. They never replaced a inch of sheetrock, just painted over it. I was sick and sinuses and ear infections as a result of this mess. Now they are trying to bill me for different things that are not correct. Jaun head of maintenance said the entire complex is in the same condition. I'm heading to the Clerk of Court to file against these people...this place should be torn down.
It is the worst place I have ever experienced very bad service and the manager is a rude and very obnoxious The manager speaks very ugly to people and they do not repair anything do not recommend this place to anyone????????????????
The only reason I give them 1 star is because I had to but they don't even deserve that! These apartments are disgusting, the office staff is rude & unprofessional & they don't fix things in a timely manner! DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! The good reviews are from the staff... I learned the hard way!
My experience at St. Germaine will be one I will never forget. I went to the office to see and rent a 2 bd/ 2ba apartment on 01/11/17. At the time there were two available. The first one was on the 3rd floor which had cabinets that were horrible with peeling paint. The other apartment was on the first floor but the office couldn't locate the key and stated they would call me when they do. I emailed the office on 01/13/17 to see if the key was located so I could view the apartment before paying my application fee. The office emailed me back stating when I could come in and view the apartment. I stated that I could be there 01/14/17 between 3:30 -3:45 but I didn't receive an email back until 2:30 on 01/14/17 stating the apartment had been rented but I was still welcome to look at the apartment. I didn't get a chance to view the email until I arrived at the office and at that point I was upset. The lady in the office stated that it's a first come first serve but this wasn't told to me on the two occasion I visited the office. This was totally unprofessional and I would never ever want to rent from a place that treat their customers in this manner. Beware of this place!!!
Quiet, great for kids as the traffic is limited within the complex, parking (usually no issue). Close to shopping and food. they put majority on outside, painting & repairing pot hole, nice and inviting. NICE...don't let the outside fool you. Friend spent the night and realize. Walls are patched, carpet dingy & not cleaned, ceiling with stains. Kitchen, half the stove eyes don't get hot, All cabinet doors are loose and half shuts, refrigerator have roaches getting in some kind of way. I am a neat freak and cleans, but roaches (can't say theyre roaches, but some type of bugs get in the apartment), the garbage disposal half works and sounds like a train trying to come up through the pipe. The refrigerator door doesn't shut tight & unless you think about it (food may be ruined). Electrical box blow fuses. Bath cabinets same as kitchen. Bdrm same for the walls, patch work, ceiling stains from either the air conditioner or from leaks from apartment above. Carpet again is dingy & stained when you move in, they will tell you that it is noted on your lease but when you move out, they charge you. You put in work orders & they take their time, then the note that it was repaired but you have the same issues over & over. Dont let me talk about the air conditioner unit. I moved in & the air went out. It took 3wks to replace (they claim they ordered a new unit), but 1 month later, air is out again (HOW? if you ordered a new unit). They have two pools, the one by the office is opened more often but usually crowded because the other pool there is always something wrong with it or it is only opened from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., but usually closed. Laundry room, washers always broke or dryers don't get hot. The gym...have of the equipment broke (pedal on bike or button on treadmill not working. Office staff (that's a laugh because theyre sweet when youre trying to get an apt, but Nasty, Rude afterwards. If youre thinking about moving in just ask while riding through. MOLD on ceilings, closets, etc. Let them show you outside storage as well b/c they will skip over showing it (tore up). Make sure the locks on the sliding door works b/c half don't work, but you have the rod to keep door closed. Leakage round window seals as well. I had to pay for all of this with my deposit because I didn't know to check or look for all of this when I moved in. Be careful and be aware...I lived on first floor, so I had a train that ran majority above when I was trying to sleep.
This apartment complex is beautiful on the outside, but on the first day of living here, we saw a mouse. Then their were two, then three and now their parents are coming out. Called the office, they won't do anything. We have two small children under 4 living with us and we are so afraid that they will get bitten. We placed glue traps all over because again the office staff does not care. Everyday rats are caught on the traps. WE DON'T RECOMMEND THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX!!!
This place is the worst. Roaches galore, maintenance takes their time to come and repair things and when they come they only patch things up. The lady above us works in the office and her children stomp all day long. When noise complaints are made nothing is done. Office staff has the worst attitude ever. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS APARTMENT.

Great move in deal for good credit: no deposit or application fee. Great family atmosphere. Normally quiet mixed community with the exception of weekend and holiday revelry...to be expected since the area is only 5 miles from New Orleans. Crossing the Cresent City Bridge into New Orleans is great since no toll is required. Access to various venues, shopping, banking, gyms, and foods.
I lived in St. Germaine Apts. For 6 years I stayed on the first floor the people tub above me overflowed. I got black mold on my ceiling from the water damage my son starting having major respiratory issues and had to get treatments he also could not be outside at all due to his illness. I kept calling the front office all they did was spray bleach on it and my son started to get worse so I moved. Then the had the nerve to stay I didn't clean my apartment up and I know I did and took pics. And charged me for them so called cleaning and kept my security deposit. I would never recommend them and a lot other people told me they did the same thing to them when they moved.
My apartment complex is the absolute greatest. It is a good environment for a family with kids. It's very quite ,and a welcoming feeling. There's a park for the kids to play, and a pool for family and friends to enjoy together. You have easy access to many stores that are around, they are walking distance. Rent is 878.00 for a two bedroom. Overall the apartment is a good environment.
