The Tigard Triangle is a large neighborhood on the northeast side of downtown. It is situated between I-5 and the Beaverton Tigard Highway, with the Pacific Highway forming the northern edge of the triangle. The area, which was in limbo of sorts until recently, has become a popular, mixed-use neighborhood that is becoming increasingly walkable and bicycle-friendly. With its wide sidewalks, bike lanes, hilltop vistas, and wooded areas, the Tigard Triangle is quickly becoming Tigard's favorite neighborhood.
Covering roughly 425 acres and bordered by three major highways, the Tigard Triangle is as convenient as it is attractive. This live-work-play community contains a variety of office buildings, luxury apartment communities, charming neighborhoods, and convenient shopping areas. Residents also enjoy public art, benches, and small pocket parks, making the Tigard Triangle as family-friendly as it is trendy.

Property Ratings at St James on Hall Apartments
The apartments i live in are really nice. The manager is great at making sure that they are always very nice and upkept. By far the best apartments i have ever lived in.
Lived here for quite some time (over 4 years) and in the end it was a big disaster. This place is not suitable for children due to speeding cars, and dogs do their business all over and is not cleaned up. The apartment is not worth the price you pay. Leaky windows, mold, management is only in office when its convenient. You need something, forget it but if they want something; you had better believe they want it immediately. They don't follow their own rules and don't expect to be treated with respect. Not by anyone, including the management company and owners. They will never talk to you. This place was once a nice place and then things went political and one sided. Sure the size of the apartment is good for a one or 2 bedroom. The appliances are old, by 10 or more years. There is plenty of police activity in the complex. So as long as you're single, have an income that will increase along with the rent, have no pets or a life and don't care how you'll be treated then this is the place for you.
Beautiful area. Private and secluded but is centrally located. These apartments are great for simple people. Not ideal for those who have more stuff.
I've lived at this complex for over 2 years now, and have had a very good experience myself. My current rent on a one-bedroom apartment is $700 and I feel that I get what I pay for in that. Sure we'd all like to pay less, but this genuinely seems worth the price. The one-bedroom unit is reasonably spacious and has very good storage that makes use of all the space within the unit. Each unit (to my knowledge) offers a wood fireplace, which is a nice feature for an apartment of this price-range. Wood seems to be easy to find at stores in the immediate area, so that's not an issue. The property itself is situated right alongside HWY217, which on the surface may be an issue. I personally don't notice any noise myself unless an emergency vehicle is passing by on a code, and most other noise is absorbed well by the exterior and interior walls. The complex itself is off the main road a bit too, situated down a long driveway with some particularly rough speed bumps (take it slow over these, no joke). This, along with the great landscaping give a feeling of relative seclusion and keeps it from feeling like you're living less than half a mile from two major highways (the 217, and HWY 99W). The location is one of my favorite aspects of this apartment because at the northern border of Tigard, It's mere minutes away from Portland, but I don't have to deal with the stress and cost of living within Portland's city limits. Fact is, once you cross over you get much less for the same price with apartments. HWY 99 offers a few amenities within a mile in either direction such as grocery stores, thrift shops, movie theaters (check out The Joy Cinema), and a variety of restaurants from low to moderate price. If you're a public transit rider, it's just shy of a mile from the nearest TriMet stop. The complex, as I've said, has very nice landscaping and also a few other amenities. An average-sized pool and hot-tub, playground and combination basketball/tennis court. Parking is generally un-covered and un-assigned, though garages are available for an additional fee. I've never had a hard time finding a spot near my building though. The apartments are pet-friendly, but charge an additional pet deposit AND rent. All in all, it's a fantastic location for the price, and has been nothing but a positive experience for me. 5 stars, not because it's the best apartments in the world, but it's much more than I expected for the price.
