The West Huntsville area sits just south of Interstate 565 and west of Downtown Huntsville. Characterized by its many quiet residential streets, the neighborhood is bound by major thoroughfares to the north and east, such as U.S. Highway 231.
The area houses many single-family homes, area businesses, and apartment buildings, and is just a short three-mile drive to the center of Huntsville. The University of Alabama in Huntsville sits northwest of town, meaning students canfind an affordable rental not far from campus. There’s several surroundings parks as well, making it easy to get out and appreciate the mild Southern climate.

Property Ratings at Stadium Apartments
Let’s start with the good things about this property: 1. For the amount you pay, you get exactly what it’s worth. 2. Maintenance is excellent at resolving issues and fixing things in a timely manner. 3. Pest control is frequent and available when requested 4. For the most part this is a safe environment (speaking as a single woman living alone with a dog) 5. No smoking is allowed within the apartments (a recent change) 6. If you have a complaint or issue, the property managers are fairly quick to respond or help resolve it. Now for the bad things: 1. They use cheap paint within the apartments and it’s all one color so if you’re looking for an aesthetically pleasing place to stay, look elsewhere 2. The walls are VERY thin so you can hear and smell literally everything your neighbors say, cook, etc. 3. There has not been a groundskeeper for months so the parking lots and apartment grounds are filled with trash and debris. 4. Dogs are allowed, but there are no poop receptacles for the lazy tenants who decide not to pick up after their dogs and discard of their dogs droppings so watch where you walk. 5. The apartment is right next to a sports stadium where a plethora of events are held so be mindful of not getting any sleep during the school year, summer time and on holidays. 6. Police circle the area frequently (not sure if that’s good or bad) but there is always something going on around here that requires their attention. 7. The parking lots do not have lines to help people park properly so try to park away from others so your car isn’t in harms way of inconsiderate people and their guests. 8. People speed through the property like bats out of hell, as there are no speed bumps throughout the property so literally keep your kids out of the street. Overall the neighborhood is quiet after hours, depending on who your neighbors are. For the price of these apartments, some of these qualities are expected but the property definitely has room for improvement.
Take your money elsewhere. Thin walls, bugs galore, maintenance isn’t helpful, maintenance request get approved as being done when they haven’t even fixed the problem(s). It’s so much I could say about this apartment complex… just save your money
Called for pricing and was cut off mid sentence with availability. If that’s a premonition for how they run business, I want no part in it!
This place is Roach infested also the property manager is arrogant, rude and extremely menacing. Save your money
I loved living here. Landlords are super sweet and understanding. This is definitely a great place to live if you’re just getting on your feet!
I would move out tomorrow if I could. Things have gone down hill since moving here. The front office does not care about the tenants here. They took away the washer/dryers for a “remodel” for a month now without letting tenants know what is going on but they put notes on the door saying to get rid of the grills because it was in the lease. I went and read through the lease again and it was not it there. Almost everyone at the property has a grill at their apartment. Parking is horrible at night and the is garbage all over the parking areas. There are issues with certain apartments here with bugs. Avoid this place at all cost!!!
Highly pissed with Stadium Apartments and I have only been here a month! I have had my apartment sprayed for bugs twice yet they are still here and mainly come from out the vents or the closet in the hallway with the tank. I would like my apartment to be sprayed again! My second problem: I moved in on February 15th, I paid Huntsville Utilities on the 14th of February. My utilities bill comes and the billing date is the 2/27-3/13 mind you I been here since the 15th of February. After receiving the bill the office calls.. “ Our system shows you owe $34.34 for utilities for the 2/15-2/28.” After not getting a clear understanding of the situation I called Huntsville Utilities. They confirmed that Stadium Apartments didn’t send over the information to clear the utilities from being in their name so I was only billed for having lights for 14 days. So on top of paying Huntsville Utilities I have to pay Stadium Apartments for not doing their part according to the lady I spoke with at Huntsville Utilities and show me everything on paper and what they had in the system. My third problem: when moving in I noted that my blinds were burnt I even put it on the inspection sheet but because I wanted the blinds replace I was charged $15 So I’m under the impression now that Stadium Apartments may not be the place for me because I don’t have time to be paying unnecessary money for situations I didn’t cause or have no control over! My fourth problem/ concern : Do they ever cut the grass? Not just but the office but the areas where the residents actually stay?
Been there a whole lease, and our bath tub has been cracked since we moved in. 4 difference puddy colors and mold in my closet and hot water heater and under the floors. We decided to move and break the lease. Now they are trying to sue us. I have my kids medical record when my daughter had to do breathing treatments. And all the pictures. And the mold inspection sheet too. Do NOT live there.
I lived in these apartments for a year. I just moved out Sept. 30th 2017. My neighbors were great and maintenance came on time. BUT when i moved out my mother & I cleaned that apartment down to cleaning the carpet. I had to call to see if I was getting my deposit back and I was told I wasn't because of cleaning. Tanish told me there was a charge for cleaning the burners on the stove, painting, and blinds for the large window, and cleaning the dishwasher. There was only ONE blind missing, should've only been painting in the kitchen. There is NO WAY those charges should've totaled to $505. The apartment Wasn't clean when I moved in, smelled bad of smoke!! The apartment wasn't ready when I suppose to move in! I had to call off my job and miss school because the apartment wasn't ready on move in date!! Annnd I paid my rent on time the whole year I was there!! I am beyond pissed! The walk through wasn't done with me present! Red Flag! I should've been present to the walk through with them!
Do not move here. My daughter has been here for 6 months. Her air conditioner has been out for the last 3 weeks and they wont tell her when it will be fixed. I met my daughter at the office at which time the manager was apparently waiting outside for me and her. He cussed me when I asked the simple question about the A/C. He then threatened to have me removed from the premises and told me he was calling the police. I cannot imagine what the property owners will have to say about this. I have never seen any business ever run like this. The guy wouldn't even give me his name? Can you believe that? Would not even give me his name. My daughter doesn't even want to stay there tonight because she is afraid.
The staff here are nice, but that doesn't change the fact that the location is crap. THEY DON'T SIGN FOR PACKAGES. The landscape is rarely kept up. If someone is kicked out they will allow everything to stay outside until the cows come home. There are so many random mattresses and furniture laying around. The residents here for the most part are inconsiderate, at least in my building. I came home from the grocery store to find a couple outside physically fighting. Which lead to a bigger brawl with more people involved. Parking isn't that great either. If you can increase your budget for an apartment, please do it. It's not worth.
I enjoy the location and the fact its pretty quiet area.We have great laundromats near us or you can use the ones on site. The laundry are could use some attention and they do try to keep the area clean. For the price it is a wonderful deal and plan to stay a while.I dislike moving and you can tell they are trying their best to make it a wonderful spot to move to.The area is safe and with the addition of the new walmart 2 minutes away and a dollar general one minute away, its great.
I have lived here for almost a year and love it! Both girls in the office are always sweet and help in any way they can. I definitely recommend everyone looking to move here!!
Every other day there was a notice or threats to fine for some act on everyone's door from management. To the point of harassment. Management like to give the run around and obviously don't communicate. For the amount of money a person pays for these cheaply renovated apartments you expect some privacy. Not an inspection every other week. Rents paid on time every month so leave a person alone
The manager is very unprofessional. I called to find out what happened in my apartment because maintenance left my apartment with tubes and wet dirt on the floor. I had not asked for anything to be serviced. After hanging up the phone on me I went up to the office. He started belittling me. I asked for his bosses number and he refused. This is not the first time I experienced this. I will not be renewing my lease.
Nice location, has appliances, central heating and air, quiet location, close to schools, park, grocery stores, convenience stores, eateries, and management is available at all times!!
