Property Ratings at Stadium View Student Apartments
We moved in August 2024 and the main doors still don't lock at night. The property manager continues to give us the run around that it is an outside vendor and they are waiting on them. I don't recommend these to any female as there are major security and maintenance concerns.
These apartments have constant issues maintenance wise and are literally falling apart inside and out. From the outside when you first arrive you can see where siding and shingles have fallen off of the building. When you get inside depending on the building you’re either greeted by trash in the halls or holes in the walls breaking Montana’s requirement for landlords to provide sanitary communal spaces. Many of the main entrances to the buildings also don’t lock resulting in past issues with homeless people camping in the stairwells in the winter. They also don’t follow Montana’s timely maintenance laws for emergency or standard maintenance, for example upon moving in the sink in the kitchen was clogged and would cause flooding if it or the dishwasher were used, upon learning this and having a flooded kitchen not only did I have to clean the flood myself as maintenance was “too busy”, it took them a month to actually fix the issue. They also have had issues with paying their power bills in the past and as a complex that includes gas and power in the rent this results in all building losing power for multiple days at a time with a refusal on their part to reimbursing tenants for food lost due to not having a fridge even though it was their fault the power went out in the first place. They also tend to be very sexist and if a female calls in for emergency maintenance they ignore the complaint, this has resulted in me having my father call for any maintenance emergencies including the flooding issues and lack of power as they trusted him over any of the 4 actual tenants in my unit.
How did this property earn 3.8/5 stars? Maybe based solely on location? My daughter moved here cautiously optimistic after reading many mixed reviews only to leave early and disappointed. My daughter's room itself was nice but a bit dirty when she moved in (carpet not cleaned, burnt out light bulbs, grimy bathroom, dirty windows). The stairwell on the walk up to her room smelled like fermented garbage and there was a hole in the drywall that was filled with trash. It was reported to mgmt when she moved in, nothing was done until April when the hole was patched only to be vandalized again. Her bedroom window overlooked the parking lot dumpster. The 1st sem living there the dumpster was overflowing and the crows picked through the garbage strewn throughout the parking lot. After no response from mgmt for months, a downstairs neighbor organized a clean-up. A windstorm came through in the fall and shingles were blown off the roof, a window in a building stairwell opposite hers was broken...the shingles were still on the ground and the window still broken as of May. Her upstairs neighbors had multiple dogs. We LOVE dogs, but not when they are large dogs with "zoomies" on the laminate floors and barking frequently during all hours of the day. Noise policy not enforced. Trying to get her mail was a nightmare as the office hours posted were not kept. I called the corporate office after getting NO response from local management to bring up my concerns and was told there was a staffing shortage and that they were resolving it...no longterm solution was ever found. At Christmas time, a care package was returned to the sender by UPS as undeliverable because the office was marked "closed" multiple days. None of the amenities listed on the website were functional or available for use. When a room in a house for the same amount of rent became available, we decided to leave. She was charged a "reletting fee" that I feel she should pay because Stadium View did not keep their end of the bargain. There needs to a better effort by mgmt to enforce harmonious living in an apartment setting. Heck, there needs to be management. So much potential, such a letdown.
The property management is pretty much non-existing whether trying to contact local, regional or corporate. They will not respond to your concerns. DO NOT RENT from this establishment.
The marketing for this pigsty is NOT commensurate with reality. Avoid this place and take your rent money elsewhere!!!
