Property Ratings at Stafford Pointe
This is such a nice place and is well maintained for its age. The price is good and love the location! Staff is friendly too!
Great place to stay ,the communication is good, the maintenance is good, they friendly
We have lived here for 4 years and couldn’t be happier. Maintenance is repaired immediately, the staff is so friendly and helpful. I can’t imagine a single reason why anyone who has lived here wouldn’t give a 5 star rating.
I have no idea why these Apts have had bad reviews. From my own personal prospective, I have not had any of those issues & I’ve been here 3 years. The staff is fair & kind. Maintenance comes a lot quicker than other apartments I’ve lived in (including the super expensive luxury ones). Maintenance is friendly & works hard. The Apts are a little older, but the complex tries to keep them updated. They provide new items if yours isn’t working, they clean your carpets when you renew your lease, etc. Since new management they have started working on making the outside look great, replacing window screens & more. This is a pretty quiet complex, people are respectful, & neighbors are kind (at least where I am. I cannot attest to other areas since I don’t live there, but I have not heard many complaints). The prices are very fair considering what you’re getting. I love it here. There’s a reason there’s a long waiting list for Apts here. I’d call these the “upper middle”. Not one of those fancy Apt complexes, not the trouble causing complexes, but right smack dab in the middle. Which is perfect for me. The only things I’d change is to move the basketball courts to a location further from the Apts since it gets loud & obnoxious kids, & add a dog park.
Apartments are dated, maitenence barges in without knocking, rent was cheap(ish) for Plainfield but the new owners are raising it a lot higher Me and a roommate signed a 12 month lease for a 2 bed 2 bath with Stafford point. We were excellent renters, we never had a late payment or any complaints from any of our neighbors. When the last day of our lease came I returned the Keyes to the office and left our appartment clean and empty it looked as new as the day we moved in. I thought that would be the end but no Stafford point decided they were entitled to an extra months rent at a new higher rate and utilities for an empty apartment that I didn't even have keys to. They said this was because we did not give them a 30 day written notice of when we were moving out. Even though it doesn’t state this in my copy of the lease. Stafford point is shady and should be avoided like the plague
Used to live here and it was great so when we needed an apartment while looking for a new house we came right back here. What a mistake. We had requested a bottom floor because of our pets but they gave us a top floor. We were given an apartment they said had been empty for a couple of months, not only wasn't it occupied but it wasn't clean either. This apartment must have been the dirtiest, nastiest, and most broken down apartment they ever had. Door frame was bent so had a constant draft. Sink rotted away from rust and lime to where we had to request a new one, which took them 2 days to replace. Air conditioner went out and took several tries and 3 weeks to fix. Air was so loud afterwards you could not hear yourself talk when on. Carpets were gross and were never cleaned before we moved in. We had to request they were cleaned again but still didn't help with sticky stuff and glitter in the carpet. Top of the cabinets had never been cleaned so when my wife cleaned them it was just like picking up black tar. The outside grounds were well maintained but the breeze ways were not. They are full of spider webs and bugs and trash. They are just gross, if we were on vacation at a place like that I would leave and call the board of health. The office staff is completely useless. They were nice before we moved in but afterwards all that changed. When my wife called and reported a security issues with people stalking the neighborhood the only reply she got was "So what do you want me to do about?". People are always dumpster diving and walking through apartment complex at strange hours. When issues come up they act like they don't want to help until you start getting frustrated with them. The one plus is the maintenance staff, if you can finally get the office to put in a work order they are helpful and hard working.
Please, take my advice and cross this apartment complex off of your list! The leasing agents do not provide you with accurate information. Despite their "published" pet policy, they fail to mention that your pet needs to be caged or kenneled at all times when you are not there in case their maintenance people need to come in. Had we known this information, we would NEVER have held an apartment. Joy, our leasing agent, continuously gave us false information over a 3 month period (from May-August). Then, when we did not move in because of the pet policy (which she failed to mention despite being asked numerous times) the apartment complex refused to return all of the money they had taken from us. DO NOT TRUST THESE LEASING AGENTS. Additionally, their "upper management" refuses to take responsibility for their agents mistakes. Instead, they continuously claim that everyone else "misunderstood" their policy. Their officially policy actually uses the words EVICTION. It's hard to misunderstand that. As if this failure to inform us of their true policy wasn't enough, their apartments are horribly outdated. Our apartment smelled strongly of smoke, which our leasing agent Joy refused to acknowledge or do anything about. Please, do not even bother looking at this place. It is horrible.
These apartments are OUT OF DATE! The maintenance and front office team do NOT care about the tenants. It takes 4 or more calls to get repairs made. The outside storage off of our townhouse is unusable and they don't care. It is NOT a place I would recommend, for anyone! The only nice thing I can say is they do well at maintaining the grounds.
The management here is very conscious of keeping it's tenants happy. I have been here 3 years and my rent has not increased.. the maintenance staff has been pretty good about getting things fixed as fast as possible. The location is VERY convenient to the interstate and shopping.
My husband and I live at the Stafford Pointe Apartments in Plainfield, Indiana. We're in a one-bedroom apartment that goes for $660 a month. Included are all appliances (dishwasher, microwave, garbage dispenser, fridge, stove, but minus washer-dryer), geothermal water services, and maintenance services. The general features of the complex include a separate laundry facility, tennis courts, pool, exercise room, common areas for parties w/in the Clubhouse, and more. The location is about 5 minutes from I-70 & 20 minutes from Downtown Indianapolis. Plainfield is a nice little town w/lots of restaurants, an outdoor mall, big box stores, and so on. The size of the apartment isn't anything to write home about-it's perfect for two people who don't have a lot of stuff yet. Almost like a perfect starter apartment. Depending on the unit you get, there are ancillary storage areas, but not all apartments have them. Maintenance services can be spotty at times...with such a large complex & so few staff, they're constantly working on something somewhere. When they do get to you they're usually prompt in letting you know what the problem is & what needs fixed. In our four years here, we've had the water tank, dishwasher, AC unit, & other minor things repaired. Groundskeeping is also included w/the apartment (in the summer you'll see landscapers about once a week) but I've found that if you want to keep your building nice & tidy from trash, you need to do it yourself. Within the apartments themselves, you have a large living room, a tiny kitchen, even smaller dining room table area (a table that seats 4 is ideal), and average bedrooms (unless you need to fit two of everything into the room...then that gets a bit tricky). The closets are decent sized (not walk-in) & fit two medium size wardrobes snugly. There is a separate room off the kitchen for a washer/dryer hookup, as well as a closet by the front door for storage. Most apartments also have balconies or porches to sit outside. Overall, we feel that this is a good starter apartment for the cost. There could be some more features added that would make this a great apartment, but you get what you pay for. It's among the cheapest for one-bedroom apartments in the Plainfield area. You definitely could do better for a bit more money, but for this price, it's home to us.
" If you're moving to Virginia Beach, Va., trust me, my apartment complex is pretty great, not only is the rent affordable but the staff couldn't be any nicer. The grounds are extremely and beautifully maintained, and one of the biggest pluses is that they pay your water bill and it certainly isn't cheap in this city. We're less than 3 miles to the Virginia Beach Resort area/oceanfront with live music every weekend and all types of entertainment at your finger tips.
This apartment is exactly what I was looking for in an apartment. Its affordable and it's nice. They have great ameadies like a pool and a free gym. Also there maintenance is very nice and on time.
