Property Ratings at Stage Coach / Olde Stage / Severn Square
I’ve lived here for almost three years. It was great the first year and a half. However, it is now infested with mice & the leasing office didn’t do anything about it for several months despite multiple tenants complaining. The floors creak, I can hear whenever my neighbors move. My car was stolen from this property and there’s no security cameras. I’ve been followed while walking in the community multiple times. The police have been here multiples because of my neighbors. The leasing office manager is rude. The rent increases exponentially every year & no repairs or updates are made. Save your money, do NOT recommend.
Let me preface I am in the Olde Stage section of these three properties... Across the street is Stage Coach and Severn Square is up the road a couple blocks. It is a very blue collar part of town where most residents are respectful and mind their own business. The apartment is cozy, comfortable, and creaky. Given where I used to live, I am just happy to be here and able to live comfortably. It's got a great HVAC system, it's got great water pressure, and there is a gas stove! Plenty of closet space, room for bulky furniture (I have wooden furniture from the 80's!), and ample parking. The office staff are super nice and helpful, maintenance is timely and respectful, and the neighbors are chill. But again... this is an older building, you'll hear people, cars, airplanes... ambient noise (which helps me sleep) is common. Given the last place I lived in Annapolis was overpriced and rather disrespectful... I am just happy to be here and I think if you're on a tight budget, like me, you'd be happy to be here too!
Overall this apatment complex is fine, there are no bugs and maintenance is very responsive in an emergency. The big problems I have are that you can hear EVERYTHING through the walls and floors. There isnt a single floor baord that doesnt creak with every step and you can hear other families having normal volume conversations through the walls. The construction of the built in units like cabinents is cheap and breaks often, my bathroom mirror medicine cabinent has fallen off the hinges almost striking me in the head twice. And lastly the staff who answer the phones are always very short and terse even when you approach them in a friendly manner with genuine questions. It feels like the staff is always fed up and it just makes for an unpleasant conversation.
Place is garbage. Be ware of auto renew lease. This company is very shady. Do not do it to your self.

Dear Severn Square Resident, We appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns regarding our Severn Square community. In an effort to address your concerns regarding our auto renewal policy as outlined in your initial, signed lease agreement; please contact our leasing office’s Property Manager @(410) 768-6158, to discuss further. Thanks again for taking the time to contact us. We look forward to speaking with you- directly. Have a great day and thanks for choosing A&G Management!
Searching around for apartments, it's pretty common to read horror stories about rude management, terrible maintenance, unsafe areas, and other negatives that may scare you away. At the risk of sounding like a "sponsored review" I have to say that none of that is a problem with this complex. Maintenance is phenomenal and always showed up either the same day or the next day. Funny enough, the same guy always showed up when I submitted an issue which I liked because he was always very respectful and knowledgeable. Although I didn't have a ton of interactions with management, I never had any issues with anyone being rude or incompetent. When contacted, they always got back to me within the next business day and they kept themselves very organized. Any mistakes they made were caught pretty quick before any serious issues arose. The management company also holds different seasonal events for families. I never partook in any of them but it always seemed like a nice gesture. The area is pretty quiet and discrete. In the warm months you will hear loud kids playing outside but I hardly consider that a negative as we were all kids at one point. Parking is an open lot with street parking as an option. There are multiple buildings in the complex each with parking in front of them, late at night you probably won't find a space right in front of your building but there are more than enough spaces to go around. The biggest negative is that my unit in particular (I can't speak for others) had multiple issues with the windows that needed to be addressed after move in. The windows never did provide an adequate seal so the temperature would never stay consistent. The only way to be comfortable during "extreme weather" months was to have the Heat or AC on 24/7 because 15 minutes after you turn them off the temperature in the unit would rise/fall right back to square one. Also despite living on the top floor, bugs (mainly crickets) frequently found their way into my apartment. I absolutely hate bugs so that's a huge negative for me but its pretty much inevitable no matter where you live. I've rambled for much too long. TL;DR is that this is a good place to rent. I would renew my lease but have to move due to other obligations.

Dear Resident, Your post is no too long to read, as notes from our residents provide us with a window to the community. Our leasing staff and maintenance team will appreciate your straight-forward remarks. We appreciate the information concerning windows, as they are on our to-do list of improvements at our Stage Coach/Olde Stage Apartments. We regret your moving, as we would have enjoyed continuing the quality service you deserve.
Apartment looks good and provides good detail. I am impressed! Thank you
With rent prices in our area skyrocketing we were really worried about finding a larger apartment when we found out we were pregnant with our second son. Lucky for us we stumbled across old stage apts, our apartment is a 2bd with a den that we use for a play room for the boys. its the prefect size, the neighborhood is close to Walmart, target, and three different groceries stores. We're also right off of I-97 and 100 which makes it quick to get everywhere. The school district is wonderful so I feel great about staying here as the boys get older. The complex is beautiful and clean, the staff is attentive and we've never had an issue with maintenance responding if we needed anything. we have a great playground and a gorgeous pool. Longwinded way of saying that we love it here!
Constructed in the 70s, I think, so no sprinklers and minus a few other modern amenities. However, it does have a gas stove. Management seems more concerned with renting empty units than keeping current units filled, but the maintenance crew is superb. It's off two interstate highways, but the highway noise doesn't reach the apartments facing away from the highways. Convenient to everything, near nothing.
Love the staff! Maintenance responds in a timely fashion! My only complaint would be the creeks you can hear in the floor! You will definitely hear the person above you walking around and the floor creeking! Outside of that I enjoy living here!
