Property Ratings at Staten Crossing Apartments
I moved in this past November and I have been nothing short of happy. I’m in a 2 bedroom by myself and it is so peaceful. I’m in my upper 20s so I was looking for a spot that wasn’t focused on college convenience, it’s peaceful, it’s quiet, there is a happy balance of all ages, and you can make your apartment yours?? and the staff is absolutely amazing! They are always so pleasant and sweet with me, even if I ask dumb questions! They will help you with anything…. All the way down to if you have trouble putting your parking pass on like I did. ?? The maintenance team is outstanding and will fix ANYTHING within 24 hours! Most the time they show up within 10 minutes. Thank you to staten crossing and the special team who has let me made my first place (living by myself and not being with a roommate) my home!
My experience has been nothing short of amazing the office staff and maintenance staff are amazing…love the wood flooring…it’s nice and quiet in the daytime and nighttime…and it’s clean around the entire neighborhood…will be renewing my lease. Thank you Staten Crossing for the good treatment ????????????
We moved into Staten Crossing in June 2017 and lived there for four years. This was mine and my husbands first place together. We got married and adopted our fur baby while living here. During our time there, I can honestly say I have no complaints. The office staff were always friendly and happy to assist anytime we needed something. They did a very good job keeping the property clean and tidy. Anytime we had a maintenance issue, maintenance would always respond in less than 24 hours. Most times they would arrive within 10 minutes of me submitting the request if it was during business hours! We never had an issue with pests as they would spray about once every other month. They also did fun things like arranging to have food trucks there a few times a month which we loved. Overall, this was an amazing property and we would highly recommend it for those of you who are considering them for your home.
I lived at Staten Crossing for two years before relocating to Atlanta, Georgia. When I moved back to Valdosta, Staten did not have a unit available for me so I was forced to look elsewhere in Valdosta. I am currently living at NorthWind, but I am ecstatic to be going back home to Staten Crossing in March! This time, I will be going back to brand new updates to my unit. New floors, new paint, new GRANITE countertops. While the apartments may appear to be new, Staten has been able to hold fast to their long-running standard of resident service and professionalism while also feeling like a friend - something you do not find at most apartment complexes. You’ll know each leasing agent by their first name, the maintenance manager, Rob, and the property manager, Trina. If you’re looking for just an apartment - go else where. If you’re looking for a home - you’ve found it!
Staten Crossing is a waste of time and money. They need better management and staff. They kept $245 dollars from me for an appointment I don’t qualify for to rent from them. Told me since I used a debit card the money is non refundable. I will not recommend Staten crossing to anyone. Especially people who are new to leasing.
Property Manager at Staten Crossing Apartments, Responded To This Review
Good Afternoon, First - we would like to apologize for any misunderstanding or confusion that was caused during your application process. As it states on our website, and Apartments.com, the Application Fee of $45.00 and the Administration Fee of $100.00 is NON-REFUNDABLE. You agree to that once you submit application. So, where you stated that we KEPT $245.00 is inaccurate entirely. The Hold Fee, or Security Deposit, whichever is assessed to your application, IS refundable and you received your refund of $150.00 via a check from Staten Crossing's Operating Account. I again apologize for any confusion you had, and we are glad we were able to clear this up for you!
I have the perfect one bedroom at staten crossing. Coat closets, walk in bedroom closet, bathroom closet, separate laundry room and pantry - ALL IN A ONE BEDROOM! Trina, the property manager and the staff did such an amazing job at finding my perfect apartment and making me feel right at home. If you are looking to move to Valdosta, Staten Crossing has to be one of your stops!
Staten Crossing is the best housing community in Valdosta! I have lived here for about two years and have loved ever second of it. All maintenance request I have had were fulfilled the same day they were submitted. The office staff is always friendly and very quick to help you. The apartments are spacious and comfortable to live in with very fair rent prices. They have great amenities to accommodate everyone. The office staff puts together game nights to get the community together. It is a great way to win great prizes as well as meet your neighbors. This complex is the best!
The Air Force moved me here about 3 years ago and my friends that were living at Staten Crossing recommended I should move into the complex. The staff is amazing, and they always make it a point to make sure we are still pleased with the apartment we moved into. My friends & family will hang out in the beautiful pool area they have all summer long. We take nightly walks, and it is so peaceful around the complex. Anytime we have a maintenance issue, we call it into the office, and it is fixed the very same day. My drive to base is only 10 minutes, so that is very helpful! I would recommend Staten Crossing Apartments to anyone!!
Let me start by saying, I worked in property management in Tallahassee. Never have I seen a community like State Crossing. The SC staff seem to love their jobs and their residents. Staten Crossing was the best apartment complex I have ever lived in. The staff, especially Kyle, are so welcoming and genuine. My husband lived in the apartment for 4 years, and I lived there for 1 year. The neighborhood is quiet, ample parking, I love the package service at the front office. The pool is awesome! I love the community events! 12/10 - would highly recommend.
The Air Force moved me here about 3.5 years ago and my friends recommended I should move into Staten Crossings Apartments. I met the Staff, checked out the 2 bedroom apartment and signed my lease agreement the same day. I was so pleased, I didn't even bother shopping around the apartments near by. I played tennis there with my friends and I was constantly at their gorgeous pool. I would often see people walking around or running at night around the neighborhood with zero fear. That speaks volumes how safe you feel living there. Any time I had a maintenance issue it was fixed the same day. Trina(manager) is always willing to help you out and accommodate you and open to fun activities to get the neighbors together. Kyle and Brooke were always welcoming and very helpful anytime you had questions or a problem. If you want to live close to base and close to the city, this is the right Apartment complex for you! I would move here again.
I spent 5 years living at Staten Crossing and would probably still be living there if the military hadn’t taken my family elsewhere. The apartments are beautiful and the staff keep them very well maintained. Everyone is so friendly and responsive whenever any sort of need arises. As far as apartment living goes, this place had some of the best in-home storage I’ve ever seen and the amount of amenities you get for the cost of rent was incredible. The location was perfect for the daily commute to base while also being close to town for grocery runs and entertainment. The community they have built at Staten is also very family friendly-my husband and I had 2 children while living there and felt that our babies were so welcomed and comfortable the whole time. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a place to live-you will love it!

Thank you so much for our review! We try our best to accommodate and make everyone feel as "at home" as possible! Staten Crossing wishes you the BEST!
Live there for a year and loved it there! The apartment was spacious. Love the pool area, was always clean! The staff was always accommodating when I needed something or had questions. Quiet apartment complex. Only moved out because I was moving to a different city. Only thing that bothered me was that you could hear the upstairs neighbors walking a lot, sometimes it would sound like someone was walking in your apartment. Other than that everything was great!
I felt my roommate and I were very good residents. We participated in their balcony contests and always payed rent before or on time. However, when we unexpectedly had to move out due to unforeseen circumstances, the management was NOT helpful at all. They were very rude and disrespectful (especially the property manager). They made no effort to make the process easier and tried to find everything and anything to charge us for. I'm not the type to take time out of my day to leave a review, but if you are looking for a decent apartment and a reliable management- I would definitely not recommend Staten Crossing.
I have lived in eight other apartment complexes in Valdosta, all of which were either subpar, not well maintained, overpriced, had security issues, or had poor management. Staten Crossing is HANDS DOWN the BEST rental experience I have had in Valdosta. I had a one bedroom apartment on the third floor. It was very spacious, newly recarpeted, and had a beautiful view of the pool. While visiting friends who also lived in the community, I was able to see that all of the units are maintained to the same high standard. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. The apartments and grounds are top-notch and maintained by an excellent maintenance staff. Any need for maintenance repairs are answered efficiently, and the community feels like home. I only left because of my job, but I absolutely recommend Staten Crossing to anyone looking for a rental home. It is cozy, comfortable, conveniently located, and offers the very best customer service around.
I have lived in this apartment for almost 2 years and have deployed multiple times. During those deployments my wife stayed int he apartment with our two dogs. The people at staten crossing checked on her multiple times and looked out for us. It is a great apartment for a very reasonable price in a very good area of town, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
Staten Crossing Apartments is incredibly homey. This is the first place I've ever been in that I actually feel I could live in until I'm ready to move into a house or get stationed elsewhere. Every time I have to travel away, I'm anxious to get back. I love it Pros: -- Incredibly quiet -- quietest place I have ever stayed in. Great neighbors; everyone is courteous. -- Apartment complex is a large oval... Incredibly easy to navigate if you're new or inviting friends over. -- Gated community -- Helps me feel much more secure. -- Incredibly nice and helpful staff -- Great gym room. It's not large by any means, but it's very well maintained -- Very nice other amenities. Pool is gorgeous and always clean, laundry room stays clean and maintained, landscaping is beautiful. Cons: -- After racking my brain for about 20 minutes, I really can't think of one. My apartment was a little smaller than I was expecting, but it's a 1x1, so it's probably normal. -- Oh!! You can't have your own grills. That's the only thing that's bugged me about this place. They urge you to use the park-style charcoal grills throughout the complex... Which isn't horrible, and as far as I know, a fairly common rule for apartment complexes. But that's all I can think of. I highly recommend this place. Very inexpensive, military discount, located directly in between base and town, not too close to the university to have a bunch of college kids, and probably the quietest complex you'll ever live in.
Pros: Convenient location to work, shops and other businesses. Staff is responsive to the tenants and maintenance needs. Cons: They do not offer a military discount of any kind - disappointing.
Property Manager at Staten Crossing Apartments, Responded To This Review
Thank you for your review. Please contact us as soon as possible to determine whether you are eligible for the military discount for active duty military members. Staten Crossing is also listed on the military allotment program as well. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
I am going on my 3rd year living at Staten Crossing. I currently live in a second floor 1 bedroom 1 bath. My apartment was rennovated right before I moved in with new carpet and flooring. Everything in the apartment is in tip top shape and what small problems I have had are usually addressed the same day. As a college student, I wanted to live somewhere affordable yet not too college-centered, since I spend lots of time studying. Safety was also an important factor for me when picking a place to live. I can say with confidence that Staten Crossing is a safe environment, perfect for the more reserved student like myself or small families. The rent is a fair price since it is very clear to see that the rent goes to maintaining the property and amenities. The pool is always clean. The gym is quiet and usually private depending on what time you go. Overall I would give Staten Crossing 5 stars and highly recommend it to anyone in the North Valdosta area!
