Property Ratings at Station 21 Apartment Homes
They charge hundreds of dollars in fees every month, on TOP of your rent. They bill you for gas, when you have no gas appliances. They charge you for trash service AND community trash. They charge for package lockers, even if you don't use them. They charge you a fee for your assigned parking spot! They charge you for community maintenance, community electricity, community everything. YOU pay for the people the complex hires to do landscaping. The complex even bills you for the third party billing service that bills you for them! So many fees and charges. They nickel and dime you for hundreds of dollars a month. Then, they will tow your vehicle for being abandoned. Even if it's listed on your lease, and parked in your assigned space, that they bill you for. This place is greedy and the complex is disgusting. They paid the cheapest labor they could for remodeling, so it looks like high school kids did everything. Painted over outlets and cable connection, cabinets that don't close or fit, rotting baseboards, balconies that are literally falling apart, and so on. If you decide to move here anyway, make sure you get to see YOUR unit before signing ANYTHING. See for yourself. Try opening and closing a few cabinets. Check out the horribly remodeled baseboards, bathroom, and kitchen. Look at the balconies! Also, even though they bill you for pest control, there are roaches everywhere, so hope you don't mind them!
Horribly expensive for a horrible Floorplan. I can't use half my closet because of the cramped space where the bathroom and closet is. the office is impossible to get a hold of and aren't friendly. only move here if you have no other choice. you don't want to be stuck here
This place has changed management so many times. They jack up the rent and add fees that aren't even your fees. Some of the residents here are violent. Gun shots and people yelling is common here. The two star is because the maintenance when called is good. Every grill is broken and so are the gates. They fix them and then the residents break them. Not safe area do to homeless living in the back of apartments. I wouldn't swim in the pools because of pool breaking in them at night that don't live hanging out in them.
This new company took over 2weeks ago! And let’s just say they are NOT good and not somewhere I would want to live if my lease wasn’t locked in I would move immediately! The first 3days of them here they sent me a 5day notice because they couldn’t see in their system that my rent was paid up, so before they even actually unpacked the boxes to their office they sending out notices to people not knowing that I had my rent paid until March of 2022! Then my kitchen light went out and I’ve called several times just to be told I have to sit in the dark on Christmas! Because you guys aren’t organized me and my 1yr old son will not be able to use our kitchen because they don’t have any lights to fix our one broken light in the kitchen. Not only that I had put in a work order well before Station 21 took over to have my electrical sockets fixed because some work some don’t and they came in and messed up the light switch in the bed room the Matentince guy came in looked around left saying oh you gotta put in another work order because he didn’t bring what he needed to fix it so you mean to tell me you knew what you were coming to fix but let the tools to fix it so now because of his incompetence I have to wait another 2months to get my electrical fixed that should have been fixed before they decided to move me in! I truly and displeased with the fact that they care more about decorating the apartments with their signage but not be good landlords. Absolutely horrible I truly advise you not to pick this place.

Thank you for taking the time to give us a review. We sincerely apologize for the issues you experienced, and we hope to make this right. Please make sure to come to the office if you have any concerns with our apartments, our staff works hard to meet every resident's needs and would appreciate any issues that you have so that we can properly fix the issue.
I moved in November 2019 when it was Midtown on Main. I lived on third floor right near the office. Out of the two years I live there the gate that opens and closes only work for less than a month the whole time. When they did get it working it would work for a few days. Also when they got it working either your key code or your key card would not work they have to reset it every time. Even though I lived on third floor it sounded like somebody lived on top of me. Sound like somebody was jumping up and down and stomping on top of my ceiling. Trying to get them to come over to fix anything in my apartment was pulling teeth. I have to put multiple work orders in. I have to go to the office multiple times. I literally had to find a maintenance person and walk them to my apartment. They changed over to Tides on Main and they were somewhat better which they came over and fix the few things we needed fixed. The office staff wasn’t very good. If you had to get something done it was multiple times you had to go to the office and every time I go they’d be a new manager. They have now switched to another company and this company is really crappy. I’ve been trying to call about a package for three days and nobody will answer that phone at the office. I’ve called between five and nine times a day for the last three days. Nobody in that office will pick up a phone. I literally walked downstairs called them and watch them press the mute button and continue on their computer. Valet trash is a joke. I have called them multiple times and reported multiple incidents to the office and they won’t do anything about it. They kept not picking up my trash. You pay a $30 fee for them to come pick up your trash and they find every excuse not to do it .Do not live their. Go some places else.

The apartments themselves aren't bad, and the neighbors are all pretty nice. It's the management that ruins these apartments. Both new and old. The old management just stopped caring and stopped taking care of things like the grass and much more but for some reason our rent kept going up slowly. When this new management came, I thought they would be better. Wrong. They raised our rent even more and came with all of these ridiculous rules as to how we can decorate our balconies, what temperature we need to keep our apartments at, they're even raised prices at something as small as the vending machines around the complex. They also locked the thermostat at the gym. With the old management, we were able to change the temperature in the gym, not anymore with the new management and they keep that gym extremely hot now. Also this isnt "gated", the gates are never closed so anyone could just drive in. I honestly can't wait for my lease to end so that we can find a new place. Like I said, the apartments themselves are nice, it's the management that ruins it for me
we were there to visit an apartment, the young lady who received was very haughty, she didn't even give us a seat. she explained while we were stopped.
If you like roaches this is the place for you. They are under a new name because of new ownership. This place will always have a roach issue because it is old.
The staff , the complex & how the apartment looks is amazing but behind all of that within my SHORT period of time living here (2months) Ive experienced roaches(I still have that problem & its a problem the office has been on top of ) but the problem still remains Im a NO BUG tolerance person & that exact reason has made me want to move from this location, I had AC problems within my first month, toilet problems, my sinks barely worked( that got fixed once I reached out to the office about my concerns and they responded back in a timely manner)The staff are amazing there are just a lot of behind the scene issues that they cant control & I understand that. But if I wouldnt have experience these issues then these apartments wouldve been worth what i pay in my eyes , but being that I havent had a good experience so far I dont think theyre worth the money.
Midtown has great amenities and a caring staff. For the price, I didn't expect this community to be so wonderful!
I find Midtown on Main Apartments to be a quiet and peaceful neighborhood, very beautiful property. The leasing staff and managers and maintenance staff are always very helpful when I need or have an issue. I would prefer any of my friends to this property. Very comfortable living, I hope to be here for the rest of my life. 100% Excellency.
Great privacy in each home, I also love balconies and the ones they have are a very good size. Pool is cleaned often which is good because I love swimming. Price for apartment is good. Parking is a bit annoying because there are so few uncovered spots they get taken fast and I have to park a bit far
Beautiful, well kept community at an extremely affordable price for the area.
Midtown on Main is a safe, clean complex. Gated complex too. Maintenance take care of issue within 24 hours but definitely communicate within early business hours. (Unless Emergency, respond quicker)
Great overall experience. The move was smooth and management is always helpful.
Midtown on Main has always but me as a resident 1st; for safety and comfort.
Great place to live very friendly staff
Good place, decent people.
Maintenance is soooooo poor!
I am fairly new to the property I just moved in 3 weeks ago and have ad a major issue when it comes to fulfilling maitenance requests. I really wish maitenance would complete my work orders so I can fully enjoy my home.
Great place to live
Be careful of bait and switch. They showed us a beautiful apartment and told us they couldn’t show us he one we were getting because it still had tenants. All of our stuff a week later in a moving truck and they give us keys. The countertops were all painted - not like the granite in the one we were shown. Carpet was from 1980 yet. The washer and dryer was horrible, our clothes were still dirty and the dryer never fully dried. The plumbing was always clogged. We moved out and now we have to pay a $300 carpet cleaning for notable wear and pet stains. We never had a pet and the notable wear has been from the last 5 tenants.
Makes a great first apartment.
Apartments are a great size the amenities are great I love that I have a washer and dryer also a patio to relax on the layout of the apartment is pretty nice the appliances are great and updated the people in management are really nice and helpful
I have lived here over 20 yrs. Have enjoyed living here! Staff is very attentive to any issues I may have.
Love that there is a lot of parking spots available. The complex of pretty quiet. Neighbors keep to them selves.
I have lived here for almost 5 years and have been very happy here. Although it's a large complex, it's very quiet and well kept. The minor repairs I have requested have been completed in a timely manner. The maintenance staff have been great
Quick and efficient
When I first walked in, I knew it would feel like home for a long time. Highly recommend.
Management lies about roaches. Then you move in find you have roaches. Then you disclose to management that your apartment is infested. Then they tell you when they inspected they only found one roach and can’t release you from your lease since one roach isn’t an infestation. But when they spray you find 20+ dead roaches..... If you value your health, both mental and physical, don’t live here. Please.
The management company is terrible and therefore the office staff doesn’t care about residents and the maintanence team is lazy (which is a bummer bc they’re somewhat nice). The trash fee is $30 a month for valley trash and they rarely pick up like they’re supposed to.
Impossible to get a hold of anyone in the office keeps giving me the run around. It’s been over a week and still can’t get in contact with the manager. They basically took my money since it’s non refundable ($255) and ghosted me.
I constantly find my upstairs neighbor in the dumpsters around our complex, but she cant seem to throw out her own trash. She likes to leave kids toys, strollers, shopping carts out front of my apartment so I have to move it to get to my door, not to mention her apartment, among many others are over flowing with "stuff". The same neighbor who left their water on and flooded our apartment. People also love feeding the stray cats which cause them to come into our porch and motorcycle cover and urinate all over it. We tried every kind of spray nothing works. Because people feed the cats.every time I walk my dog there lsd never any dog bags and the dog park is a wreck. They have a water station but it never works. And when we go to the office to discuss our concerns they say "we will have maintenance look into it" and the thing is, maintenance is great whenever I needed them, but the rest of them are just nasty. 0/10 don't screw yourself over like I did myself.
This place has a HUGE roach problem!!! I have lived here for 11 months and no matter how clean I am they keep coming back. They are in the WALLS!!!!! I also had problems with maintenance and fixing my AC. It took them 3 MONTHS and a complaint to the assistant office manager at the time (also VERY RUDE). It took them a week and a half with NO updates to fix my washer. Don't live here, because on top of your base rent you are going to pay for Water, Sewage, trash, pest control (that does NOTHING), billing fee, valet trash ($25 and NOT optional), and regular trash services ($7-10), taxes (standard), and now they are making people that live here starting in December "common" electric fees (*meaning you are paying for amenities you may or may not be using) on top of their ridiculous pricing. If you have the option to live somewhere else, do so.
So far the apartment has had 7 flood of sewage water coming through every orifice in the apartment. They don't fix the main problem and they don't do anything preventive when it matters. Steer clear of them. Customer service is very poor!
I have lived at this property for 5 years and it was managed by a different company when I first moved in. About 2 years ago, BH Management took over and the company overall is unsatisfactory. There have been a ton of extra fees added on to the monthly cost. For example, they offer a valet trash service that is convenient, but costs an extra $25/month and you cannot opt out of the service, you are forced to pay for it simply for living there. There are also a bunch of rules regarding the valet trash service and ultimately, it is more of a nuisance than anything. They also charge a monthly $4.95 OneBill fee to have utilities and rent on a combined bill. They also charge a $4.00/month Pest Control fee even if you never use the pest control services. They raised the pet rent from $15/mo to $25/mo. No one ever answers the phone in the office so it's very difficult to get ahold of anyone unless you go down to the office in person. The office hours are inconvenient, open late in the morning and close early in the evening. Even though they have invested in the appearance of the complex, that does not justify the increase in rent, plus all the extra fees. I mean the location is not ideal with the Union Pacific railroad literally right behind the back wall of the complex, and the Lightrail literally directly in front of the complex etc. I just do not feel the place is worth the price!
After my experience with Midtown on Main, I feel it is my civic duty to warn the public about how terrible this property is. Watch out for the "newly remodeled" units, they are just old units with some cheap appliances and fixtures, a fresh coat of paint, and old shelves that fall off the walls and destroy your belongings. Watch out for any apartments on the 2nd and 3rd floors, with the balcony facing west, the AC will blow out hot air in the summer. Watch out for the management team, they will intentionally send you your renewal rates after the 60 day period for your notice to vacate expires, so if you don't like the renewal rates, your lease will default to month to month for twice your previous rents amount. Don't even try to get ahold of, or reason with anyone in the front office, because you will be treated as if you are nothing more than a dollar sign. COLLEGE STUDENTS, YOUNG PROFESSIONALS, AND ANYONE ELSE, DO NOT RENT FROM MIDTOWN ON MAIN, YOU WILL BE DISRESPECTED AND TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF.
I lived here from January 2014-2015. The guy who found us a special on the third floor with 2 bd 2 baths for $675, was awesome. I wished I remembered his name but I he no longer works there since this new management took over. Maintenance is ok. They response not fast unless you literally call the office 5 times daily. The kitchen was somewhat updated. The carpet was old so it smelled. We only shampoo it once. We seen 3 enormous giantic cockroaches!!! Once in the kitchen wall. Twice in the hallway. That was a freaky unpleasant experience. I hate those types of bugs!! But I did I lil the full size washer and dryer.
My apartment is great! The space is awesome as well as the upgrade kicthen. It space is wonderful to have for cooking, entertain. It had an extra wine bar area for my wine. The balcony has alot of space as well perfect for pets area, or a place to set up a nice table and chairs. It a home away from home with the trees, green grass. It perfect place for anyone.
26 year old woman, works two jobs and just wants a place to rest quietly at night, Midtown is not the place for that. outside of the property management switching every few months, we constantly have parking awnings falling on vehicles, the maintenance men and women will smoke in your home while working on your air conditioning. The employees in the leasing office have no idea how to calculate and or deal with human beings. college graduation couldn't come sooner. Midtown on Main. is a disaster. I would recommend anything anywhere else other than here.
Mostly clean, very good prices. There are three pools that are mostly cleaned but could be cleaned more often. The neighborhood is OK but the complex is right beside the Light Rail and MeKong Plaza which is nice. Each apartment has a small porch. The staff at the front desk isn't always pleasant but they are mostly efficient. Overall a very good deal for someone like a student or someone looking for a good deal on rent. My husband, cat, and I really like it here but we are not picky!
great area right near colleges and the price is right for the amenities.
The location is great with the light rail nearby, as well as a Safeway, Walgreens, and places to eat, but the apartment complex itself is HORRIBLE, especially the neighbors and the staff! Read about my experience and avoid this place like the plague! We had to downsize and move into a more affordable apartment after my dad died in February 2013. We would soon learn that this would be a case of "you get what you pay for," and we have had nothing but bad experiences since we moved in. Since we moved here in March 2013 we have had the following happen: - I had my bike seat stolen THE DAY we moved in. My dad bought me that bike, and it's one of the few memories I have left, so it was an emotional blow to have this happen so shortly after his death. - We have trashy neighbors in both the literal and figurative sense. We once got fined for our neighbors' trash in our walkway which involved cigarettes, beer bottles, and syringes - we are a Christian family that don't drink or do drugs. - We have had plumbing issues nearly every other month with two major floods, one of which required a hotel stay for which we were never reimbursed, because they didn't think the flood was severe enough to warrant a hotel stay. - There is overall poor quality with shoddy workmanship and cut corners. They are currently making changes to the outside, replacing balcony sidings and painting the exterior, but it's like putting lipstick on a pig because the inside of the apartment is still dated and dilapidated. - We find at least one cockroach or cricket monthly. We experience bug bites regularly, and there is just that overall feeling that something is crawling on you. - We have only lived here for TWO YEARS and in those two years, the apartment owner has changed THREE TIMES. Even Defense Against the Dark Arts professors at Hogwarts last longer than the owners here. These constant changes in owners contribute a sense of instability and have yielded very little tangible change since even though the owners might change, the management staff and maintenance workers don't always change with it. The recent upgrades do not make up for two years of terrible service and rude neighbors. They often have referral promotions where they will pay you $200 if you convince your friends and family to move here, obviously they are desperate. Thanks for reading my review. I hope I have convinced you not to rent here! The price may be tempting, but trust me - it's not worth it! It's awful!
These apartments were very poor quality. The foundation of the apartment was poorly constructed, which caused wear & tear very easily. The staff was borderline rude and unhelpful. Every time I called regarding an issue, they never called me back so I had to always go to the office to resolve situations. Worse, the office just seemed very shady overall. If you move into this place, make sure you receive documentation of EVERYTHING!
Don't get me wrong, I'm completely grateful that my family and I are not homeless, but at the same time I feel like I shouldn't have to spend my own money on Drano/Liquid Plumbr every time there's a clog in the sink. One of the most frustrating aspects things about living in these apartments is that maintenance is so hard to get a hold of and when I do... and there's a flood in the middle of the night on a Saturday, I still have to wait until Monday or Tuesday for someone to respond. My family has been faithfully paying the rent (early, most of the time), and yet we feel like we're treated very poorly as residents.
You get quite a bit for your money here. There are 3 pools and they are adding a nice fitness center and dog park. The office staff is friendly and although it took a while to get my dishwasher fixed, they gave me a brand new one instead of just trying to fix the old one. Living on Main St can be a pain because of the light rail, having to do U-turns to get to the direction you want to go, but the park and ride is only a 1/4 mile away so heading downtown for a game is super easy.
