Famous for horse racing, baseball, fried chicken, and bourbon, there's really no other place like Louisville. Dating back to 1778, Downtown Louisville is the historic hub of this legendary city, home to such major landmarks as the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory, the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts, and the Louisville Slugger Field. It is also home to the University of Louisville, the historic Brown Theatre, Fourth Street Live!, and the Kentucky International Convention Center.
From its history as the oldest city west of the Appalachians to its lively shopping districts to its restaurants and breweries, you'll love living in a Downtown Louisville apartment. This neighborhood is located along the Ohio River, extending south to Broadway. Churchill Downs, home of the world-famous Kentucky Derby, is located about three miles south of downtown.

Property Ratings at Station House Apartments
Poor management…. Don’t move here. Management doesn’t not address concerns… horrible place to live.
Property Manager at Station House Apartments, Responded To This Review
Hi, We set a high standard for ourselves, and we’re so sorry to hear this was not 502-636-1739 to determine how we can provide you with a solution.
Lived with a hole in my ceiling for 3 months, mgmt is unhelpful and rude and seems to be replaced every 3 months. Apartment was unclean on move in and maintenance requests take a month+ to ever be completed. I’ve tried to be very understanding with the high employee turnover but this place is not a fit unless you’re in college and out of options.
Station House Apartments is by far the worst living experience I have ever had. I suffered through second-hand smoke, mice destroying all of my belongings, and a generally unsafe living environment. Management will happily allow you to suffer, and even if you do manage to force them to help you, they will lie and say they never agreed to a compromise. Not to mention, there were strange men soliciting outside my door at night. There were possums and other rodents wandering on the premises. They charge you extra per month for pest control, even though there is never a company that shows up. They don't cut the grass. The property infrastructure is concerning, as if the ceiling could fall at any moment. Whatever you do, do not live here. It will be like living hell. There are plenty of other affordable places in the area that blow this place out of the water.

I am sorry that your situation was not repaired/responded to as timely as you would have liked. We always strive to complete repairs in a timely manner. We were short staffed due to the COVID emergency both in the maintenance department and in the office intermittently throughout the past year. I am so sorry again for any inconvenient this has caused, please call the office to speak to the manager directly if you are still experiencing any issues.
I've lived at Station House for a little over a year and for the most part the apartment was okay. Nothing special but a real bargain for the location and amenities such as water, cable and wi-fi included in the rent. I will say their huge downfall is in their front office and service. My roommate and I have been living underneath neighbors that have been extremely noisy for the past 8 months and it has gotten to the point where you can hear their television/music from outside the building when all doors and windows are shut. In our apartment, our walls shake from the bass of their speakers and it is unbearable to stay there. We have complained to management time and time again and they have done nothing about it. They avoid the conflict and hope that everything will just go away if they ignore you. Since this place has such cheap rent really "bad" people are moving in and making the whole area start to feel unsafe. They say they do not allow restricted dog breeds but if people claim them as emotional support they can have whatever dog they want. They also claim to tow cars that do not have permits on but every day we see the same cars parked without permits taking up our spaces and have yet to see a car be towed. We also had mold growing in a wall because of a broken gutter outside and water was getting into the walls and all maintenance did was paint over the wall so we couldn't see the mold anymore. Station House claims to be a gated apartment complex but the gate is constantly broken and left open to let anyone in. If cars can’t get in they just wait next to the gate and follow you in to be another car parked without a permit. Lastly the walls are incredibly thin. You can not only hear television and music of your neighbors but conversations. It’s shocking that we can hear every word our neighbors say because the walls are so thin. If you want a safe, quiet, and clean place to live in Louisville this is the wrong place. We cannot wait until our lease is up and will not be renewing.

Cable/ internet and water included in rent! Free laundry in clubhouse for 1 bedroom/ studio rentals. Very pet friendly around here and most people's dogs if not all are very well behaved! Gated parking for residents and free guest parking. Has a Small pool and gym but useful. Close to U of L and downtown! Quite and historic neighborhood! Maintence is awesome and always around! Down fall is the plan noise from the plans landing in the airport you only hear them overhead haven't noticed them at night and the kitchen is a little cramped for more than one person. All and all its a great place and easy on the budget!
