Property Ratings at Station House
We have been residents of Station House since March 2021 after my wife and I became empty nesters and sold our large home in Green Brook. The owner lives on sight in the building and is available when needed. This gives us the feeling that the building will be well maintained. He is a hand's on type of guy so he keeps the place nice. Elyssa is the on-site manager and is always very friendly and helpful. She goes out of her way to help everyone! The units are very spacious for a 2 bedroom and are finished with a lot of upgrades including larger moldings, newer type door finishings and luxury vinyl plank flooring, tiled bathroom shower walls and tiled bathroom floors. The included full size Electrolux washer and dryer are primo! The cabinetry is so-so. I wish they had drawers in the bathroom vanities, but oh well! But on the other hand, the bedroom closets are oversized and aplenty! No gas appliances...so if you are used to cooking with gas, forget that. Us gourmet chefs just have to eat out more. Its really nice that the building does not nickel and dime you to death on parking, BS ammenity fees and garbage fees (literally). We have met and become friendly with a lot of really nice neighbors but you also have a few of the ones that still think they are living in a private home. If you know what I mean! For the most part, we love it here and have no immediate plans on moving. The community and recreational space in the lounge is really nice and you can use it any time without a reservation. So if you have a lot of family at one time, you can overflow into the lounge. The gym is nice. I should use it more often! My only regret is that we do not have a BBQ area. I miss that the most, from my prior home. ..But I have been talking to the owner and it might be in the works. Great place to live, great value, nice people and a super great location, just minutes walk to downtown Somerville and super close to 6 major highways.
