Louisville is the largest city in Kentucky, resting alongside the Ohio River on the Kentucky-Indiana border. The architecture in Louisville is a mix of old and new, with historic neighborhoods comprised of Victorian houses and towering skyscrapers scattered throughout the downtown area, many of which contain upscale apartments and condos available for rent.
The amenities in Louisville are just as diverse as the architecture. Renting in Louisville affords you the opportunity to see the famous Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs, learn more about a boxing legend at the Muhammad Ali Center, and meet a range of animals at the Louisville Zoo. The city’s award-winning restaurant scene is an exemplary display of Southern cooking. Just outside the city lies the Louisville Mega Cavern, a vast underground space offering a broad range of adventurous attractions.

Property Ratings at Station JTown
I’m on week 3 of waiting for repairs in my kitchen . Broken dishwasher, leaking sink the cabinet under the sink collapsing bugs coming up the pipes
I noticed a pretty bad roach infestation after I’d moved in and reported it as soon as I could. They told me I’d have to wait over a week for an exterminator. When I said that’s unacceptable, they said they’d bug bomb the place. Maintenance never came by so the lady in the office had to do it herself. It didn’t work and only made them run out of hiding. I then found there are TWO species of roaches infesting this building. They said OPC was coming a week after the initial report but I have no notice or confirmation they’re actually coming. They just keep telling me there’s going to be a whole building spray 25 days after I’d noticed the infestation. They wanted me to wait almost a whole MONTH before doing anything. I’ve only been here two weeks, but my boxes and furniture are infested now despite me not even living there while this is going on. There’s so many that they have wandered into my bed and bit me. No urgency and just lies from management about it.
I have reported several times yellow mold and mildew is groing in this apartment. The ceiling is falling down and the kitchen sink had fell into the cabinet for the 3rd time. Maintenance and management will not return calls, garbage in hallways Beer can etc I called health and safety today.

I do not recommend living here AT ALL. The lack of communication between the leasing office and residents is absolutely obsurd. They have a huge bug issue, and nobody in the leasing office seems to care enough to do something about it. I moved here in December of 2022 and have not been a happy resident at all. Instead of communicating with residents and attempting to rectify issues that need to be addressed, it’s almost as if they just simply do not care. It’s a nice area, and your minutes away from restaurants, stores for shopping, and many other adventures. As a resident who doesn’t bother anyone, and pays rent in a very timely and proper manner, and who also obeys the rules.. I should NOT have to beg MY leasing office to help when their is a issue. After all, it is their duty and responsibility to make sure residents are happy, taken care of, and be there to assist with any problems. I will not be returning to this complex.

these apartments are infested with roaches. in the year I lived there nothing was done but an occasional pest control spray. management DOES NOT CARE! water leaks and broken lights go unfixed! security deposit does not get returned despite the apartment being left in perfect condition! broken air conditioner goes unfixed! all of this is just a year of residing in this place. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!

First of all since day one of us moving in we have had an infestation of gnats as well as roaches which took over a month for them to take care of and we are spending our own money trying to get rid of these gnats. Secondly we just went into our bathroom tonight and found a MUSHROOM growing out of the ceiling where a toilet from the apartment above us backed up and caused our bathroom to have a bunch of water all over the toilet, floor and walls. This caused a huge black spot to form on the ceiling only a day before this mushroom was found. We brought home a newborn a month ago and since then have been pulling teeth with the apartment company to get a bunch of issues resolved. My fiancé went down to their office multiple times and the assistant manager wouldn’t hear him out but because he cussed about the situation ONCE she kicked him out of the office. She also said it was our fault for not telling them how the apartment looked before we moved in and that we should’ve requested to see the unit before signing the lease which was done online. If you all are renting a unit then you all should’ve done a walk through of the unit before telling us everything was good to go. If you value your money and health DO NOT RENT HERE. I fear not only for my child health but mine and my fiancés as well as our cat.

Place is not taken care of in the slightest on the outside and the office staff are super rude. We saw roaches night 2 before we even had our furniture delivered and we continue to see 1-2 a day. We have been to the rental company 4 times now and they essentially refuse to fix the problem/ do anything, having only offered to continue the current course of spraying once every 2 weeks or having “maintenance look into it” and went as far as to say they were excited to be selling the place to a new company…aka they have no reason to care or fix it. When you enter the back door to the basement there is literally a huge dead adult roach carcass on the ground that their team 1 doesn’t care about, and 2 refuses to clean. The valet trash is a complete joke and not only isn’t picked up on time it causes every unit to have gnats so bad I had to invest in zeevo traps which use my electricity and cost refills. Been living in apartments for 7-8 years. Now and never had any problems like these and a rental company so non inclined to do anything to fix it. Please for your own sanity, time , money, health, and safety, please please please do not make my mistake choose literally anywhere but here. RUN RUN RUN!!!!

This place is horrible. The dumpsters aren't taken care of. ROACHES everywhere. And the sad thing is we are clean but because of trash being everywhere outside and ofcourse neighbors we can't get rid of them. They never fix things. RUN

I don't even know where to start. We submitted our deposit a month and a half before moving in and it wasn't even move in ready. We moved in with a bunch of problems still with the apartment and fast forward a year later, some of them still haven't been fixed. You have to submit a maintenance request online and they don't attend to it in a timely manner so you have to call, no one ever answers the phone, so to get anything done you have to go in the office. Even after that it still takes days to get what you need done, well done. The office staff is extremely rude. They act like they care but they really don't. All they care about is getting that rent check. They constantly add fees to your rent. They don't even take pride in the building that has their model apartment in it. When you come look at the place you will see a railing that is not firmly in the wall, a hole in the bannister, they haven't touched up the paint in the hallways, and garbage everywhere. They have a trash service that comes to pick up your garbage so the one dumpster that is on site is constantly overflowing. They have a "weight room" that you aren't able to use because it's being used as storage for renovation projects that they started but won't finish. In the year that I've been living here, this place has been owned by 3 DIFFERENT PROPERTY MANAGEMENT COMPANIES and a constant state of turnover with staff members. That should tell you something right there. Also, if you witness any kind of crime they will just tell you to call the cops which does nothing. No security cameras or anything on site. I would not even waste your time coming to look at this place. Can't wait until my lease is up.
They took advantage because I was a younger woman coming in to live by myself. They would always tell me to put in a work order in to get things done that would never get fixed. I even had them come take pictures for themselves! I have leaks, black mold, and water damage. Seems like they are more worried about the people moving in I’ve been here since JANUARY.

Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologize for any delay in correcting your maintenance issues. Please feel free to stop in the office to discuss any concerns you may have. Thank you.
The only good about this place is the cheap rent. Constant issues with leaking pipes and water damage that takes weeks or months to get repaired. Only move in here if desperate. The entire management team isn't competent enough to flip burgers.

This place is an absolute garbage fire and hell hole, don't waste your money or your sanity on this dump. The staff is incompetent, never follow through with anything, and the most fake-nice people I've ever dealt with. It's overpriced, they force mandatory amenities on you like crappy internet that's double what you'd get with normal place and trash services, maintenance requests take months to get done (and I have a one inch this file folder of requests that never got addressed), one month after moving in my ceiling collapsed and flooded, I have mold in multiple spots and asked them to look at the leaks and they never responded, they 'fixed' my toilet that's off-centered and leaking by shoving CARDBOARD inside of it and sealing it up, they pulled up carpet and never fixed it or replaced it after it had multiple leaks soak through it from various places, the dishwasher doesn't work, the LG&E prices are astronomical (my FIRST month I had a $250 bill) - this place is a nightmare, I can't wait til my lease ends so I can get out of this mess.

I wish I had moved somewhere else. The trash pick up is a joke. If you have the option of not putting that on your lease, don't. They won't let you cancel even when they don't do their job. I've had lock issues since I moved in. It took me being unable to leave my apartment for them to send anyone down. Also my mailbox key didn't work and I had medication in there that I couldn't get for 3 days. The office people have a fake niceness. Some do seem generally kind, but the last in the office is not. These people are rude and do not care about anything other than your rent. Also the parking is atrocious. There are not enough spaces and people park however they want.
EVERY Category you could rate them on- terrible. If only you could add pictures I'd prove it.
I have lived in Chestnut Ridge since September of 2018. When moving in I was told by the staff who helped with our applications and the move in process we will not be paying for water since we did not have a washer/dryer hookup. Fast forward to rent of December 2018 and I am charged with an extra $75 on my rent for “water and sewer fees” after it was disclosed to us we would not pay for water. The office staff was very polite to me when I expressed my concern but they stated there was nothing they could do since A. Said staff member who helped my roommates and I now works in maintenance and B. Everyone now pays for water as it was disclosed in July all residents would be charged. We moved in in September. We were not charged for water until December. The amenities suck. Washers and dryers broke on me constantly and the fitness center is small. Neighborhood is sketchy. Many times I’ve heard screaming outside my windows from arguments. On a couple of occasions maintenance workers have come in unannounced while I was home alone asleep. Overall this place is not a great home. I’m counting down the days I can leave.
This place was okay for the first six months. But now, I've had to deal with a few major problems that make me want to leave. For starters, it's not the best neighborhood. A few weeks ago, I was out walking my dog and I was followed home by a man who then proceeded to knock on my door and offered me money to let him in to "get to know him". I no longer feel safe here and the management is never polite when I need something so I don't feel comfortable telling them about the incident. The maintenance is incredibly slow also. My roof in my bathroom started leaking and became discolored and it took 1 week and 2 requests for them to come and "fix" it. At this point I can't wait to get out of here. I won't recommend this place to anyone.
Parking at this complex needs some serious help. Just not enough spaces. All are taken by time you get home from work if you work later at night. In addition the parking lot lights don't work so is dark out there. The buildings are older and are need of some electrical upgrades. Maintenance is decent for fixes, but can take a LONG time...just tell you "it's on the list". Grounds are well kept, tis the pet owners who need to clean up better after their animals.
