The customer service with the management is utterly horrible. They completely fail to answer any question you, and any explanation they try to provide is worse than useless. Additionally, the company charges you astronomical fees for every little thing. If you are looking for a place that makes moving in or out, or any change for that matter easy, I strongly recommend you look somewhere else. Getting a drivers' listen renewed is a downright wonderful day compared to trying to communicate with anyone who works here.

This apartment complex is terrible. Management is horrible and does not care about the safety and health of their residents. This building is infested with cockroaches and the management team refuses to fix the issue!

The fire alarms are military grade and seem to only work in the middle of the night between 2AM and 5AM especially during the winter. People with small children and pets run terrified and stand outside waiting for these crazy alarms to turn off. It's insane. Literally for this reason alone pick another complex. The complex is made to look luxurious but is cheap. Elevators are always stinky, paint is chipping though out the complex and the walls are thin. The policy changes the management implemented is ridiculous and they only want to make your life as the tenant harder while squeezing more money out of the complex. IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY TO LIVE HERE AND NOT WORTH THE PTSD FROM THE FIRE ALARMS.

The fire alarm goes off in the middle of the night about twice a month (4x so far in 2021), and the garage gate is broken more often than not. But for some reason they raised the price of parking? Noise damping is poor, stinky trash stays in the hall waiting to be picked up all day, and dog droppings are basically part of the floor/carpet design. Maintenance takes quite a while to come not fix anything before you have to ask again. They must be busy with the elevator that is also always broken. You are forced to pay for Verizon cable and valet trash. Opting out of those would be nice. Package lockers and the amenities are nice. It does look exactly as advertised so that is a plus.
I've lived at Station on Silver little over a year. Honestly it's pretty good. Pros: * Inside of the apartment is just as nice as they seem. * Amenities are pretty solid, I like the parcel pending lockers. * Noise levels aren't a big issue. * Very clean. * Lot of space for a studio apartment. Cons: * You are forced to pay for cable and internet package from Verizon. I don't even have my cable box hooked up. It be nice if you could opt out. * You are forced to pay for valet trash. It would be nice if you could opt out. The leasing and management staff can be hit or miss with how helpful they are. Maintenance is pretty solid.

I have had the worst experience ever with the management. They do not respond to your calls, emails. They hardly care for the resident. All they want is money without giving any amenities benefits. At first SOS looks very promising but in reality everything is messed up here.

The apartment is way too expensive for all of the problems that go on here. Constant animal waste in the halls and the elevators, which isn’t the fault of the staff but the residents that live here. The gate to the garage is broken more often that it is fixed, the amenities are always closed down or something is wrong, the leasing office is very unprofessional and don’t respond in a timely manner. Also I had a problem with my washer and it was almost 2 months before I had it fixed.

The apartments look great but that’s it, they look great but are not built the same way. Small things like only 15 minutes of hot water per shower and the fact they have a hole in the wall for you to feed TV cables through to hide them but there’s wood going right through so it’s useless. My AC leaked for 7 months and the maintenance guy just ignored fixing it and kept refilling, leading to coolant poisoning for my girlfriend and myself. I put a ticket in nearly a year ago about nails popping through the drywall and it’s never been addressed. The washing machine is not properly installed so it moves during loads. The garage door is broken more often then working and the elevators go down almost religiously. That’s just the building, the staff is worst. They ignore people and do as little as possible. Residents get emails all the time about changes to policy allowing them to do even less. If you order food, you better hope that you can get the door open with the app; I wasn’t able to one night and when I went to the lobby door, there was 4 people in the leasing office and none of them opened the door for 3 door dash delivers. They will remind you that you have to pay but that’s the only time they reliably communicate with you. When I explained the issue how they broke the lease because they didn’t fix the issue like they should and how I wanted out early... they told me I was breaking the lease to leave early and they couldn’t do anything about it. Don’t waste you time or money on this place. You are going to pay way too much for nothing. Nearly all the benefits are not true because how poorly it’s built/managed and how awful the staff is. You can find places that are 100% better for lower prices.

There is animal waste left in common areas, good luck getting all of your mail, tenants do disgusting things like drop their hair and trash onto my balcony, the water smells and leaves a white residue so it's undrinkable, there is frequently overflowing, smelly trash left in the middle of the hall instead of contained in the provided trash cans at the specified times for trash pickup. Staff is ok, but doesn't seem to enforce rules or take concerns seriously. It's ok for a starter apartment, but if you're thinking you're getting a luxury place ... think again.

Very happy with my decision to live at Station On Silver. The apartments are finished very well and the common areas are beautifully designed and maintained. Everyone on the staff has been extremely professional and courteous — always willing to help. There are frequent, thoughtfully arranged community events which offer an opportunity to meet fellow residents and enjoy the rooftop, courtyard, and other areas of the complex. I’d highly recommend living here.

Station on Silver (SoS) offers great apartments, amenities, and service. We moved back to the US from overseas and had to rent an apartment without seeing it. We were very concerned about this, but we needn’t have been. The apartment and complex were just as the pictures had shown. The service provided by SoS staff was top of the line, and they helped us at every turn. They understood that international moves are always stressful and complicated. Management continues to be professional, knowledgeable, and helpful even after our move in. Providing excellent service is very important to them. The apartment is top notch with Excellent appliances and good, tasteful, quality finishings. We have no problems with noise from neighbors or any such issues. To a certain degree, this, of course, is out of the control of the property managers, but it does suggest that the walls and sound barriers are of good quality. We like quiet. The complex has reasonable rules that are enforced. Rules and their enforcement are essential for everyone’s quality of life and something we look for in apartment living. The common areas like the halls, gym, roof deck, and club room are beautiful. They’re kept clean and well maintained. Problems seem to be addressed quickly. The package receiving system that they’ve installed works very well. No more hunting around the complex for your Amazon delivery like at our last apartment in the area. The only thing I’m not thrilled about is the mandatory entertainment package. This package seems to be the thing now. Every apartment complex we looked at had it. What is offered at SoS is a very good deal. You would probably pay more getting the same service on your own. Our only problem is that we don’t watch cable tv, so it’s a bit of a waste. If you do use cable and Internet, it’s a good deal that also makes setup easier and you don’t have the bill to deal with. Apartment prices in the DC metro area are high. The high-end feel of SoS makes me feel that we’re getting our monies worth. It’s a good value and living experience that I highly recommend. With the metro station down the street opening next year, that value will increase.

One star is for the fact that I love my apartment unit. The other star is because I love the amenities. Minus a star because there is always an issue with amenities because they are often unavailable or inoperable. Minus a star because management is not proactive about safety and security and I have experiencd dishonesty from them on more than one occasion. Minus a star because the building has been victimized repeatedly by theft and unauthorized access. Unless and until Greystar/Station on Silver hires management and not salespeople, don’t rent here.

The amenities/finishes are fine however you can hear your neighbors every move. I understand living in an apartment you will hear some minor noise but I'm my short experience here I have been plagued with daily disruption. In the first 24 hours of moving in i had to make a noise complaint. I strongly suggest to anyone who wants to live here either live on the first floor where there is a concrete barrier between floors or on the 6th floor. Any other levels between will be horrible and filled with noise. I would give this place a higher rating but due to poor sound damping I give it two stars. Also dont believe the sales pitch about sound damping materials between floors as you will hear those above, left and right of you. If your looking for a peaceful place to live I suggest you look elsewhere as this is not the option you seek. The problems continue and poor quality of work is apparent. The window frames leak and so do the door handles. After returning home from vacation we entered our home where water had pooled in the living room and in a bedroom during a thunderstorm. The worse part of this we arent on the ground level. I've never seen door handles leak but it's clear this building is sub par! The windows frames to include the paint was peeling. Visible water damage could be seen clearly.

Hi, we're disappointed to hear of the negative experience you had at our location.
I’ve lived here for three months now and I love my apartment itself and the amenities. However, it is insane how frequently the leasing office demands to enter your apartment. There’s no privacy. You will get spammed with emails multiple times a day either cancelling community events, reminding you of rules, or giving you a notice that they will be entering your apartment (always for very vague reasons). The rooftop is currently closed “until further notice” because someone smoked up there and it’s a smoke free community. This apartment complex reminds me of being in a college dorm (but with nicer rooms).
