Situated in the heart of the Midwest, Fort Wayne is a nearly equal distance from Chicago, Detroit, and Cincinnati. Indiana’s second-largest city, Fort Wayne is a delightful mix of metropolitan amenities and small-town quirks. The cultural scene in Fort Wayne is thriving, with exceptional performances at the Embassy Theatre, extensive exhibits at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art, and the many offerings of the renowned Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo.
Fort Wayne brings the community together for a bevy of special events, including BuskerFest, Johnny Appleseed Festival, and the Three Rivers Festival. Fort Wayne residents also congregate for a variety of athletic events, but especially for Tin Caps home games at Parkview Field.
Ample green space, trails, and parkland provide plenty of opportunities for outdoor recreation in Fort Wayne in addition to the Maumee, Saint Marys, and Saint Joseph Rivers, which all converge in the city.

Property Ratings at Steeplechase at Parkview
Office staff are terrible, we lived there for years and we're charged for things their maintenance crew broke. The hallways are stain covered and dirty. Police are always seen serving warrants in the complex. The appliances are the worst Ive ever had to use. The apartments look nice on the outside but beware!!!

Hello, we believe perhaps you are reviewing the incorrect Steeplechase. These are not issues we deal with at the property. We would like to assure you that we take all such complaints very seriously. Please email me at echurch@birgeandheld.com for clarification so we can both understand what you are referring to.
the apartments are located right along Diebold road by Dupont, which means stores and necessities are always within a 15 minute drive at most. A playground, gym, pool, and more are nice to have, and the view for some apartments are beautiful. Families of geese love to spend time in the ponds. Appliances are dated but work. I needed to have my icemaker for the fridge fixed and the dishwasher looked at for leaking when i first arrived, but both repairs were done well and within 24 hours of reporting. I have had no appliance issues since. Would recommend for those looking for Fort Wayne apartments, no real major complaints here!

Thank you for your detailed review! We're thrilled to hear that you appreciate our location, amenities, and quick maintenance response. Your kind recommendation means a lot to us. If there's anything else we can do to enhance your experience further, please let us know.
I lived here for a year and started off my stay with a broken ice machine, garbage disposal, a dryer that tore clothing and a storage unit that I couldn’t open with my key. The cabinets had water damage and the walls had obvious patches everywhere. As the months went by my dishwasher began to back up and my a/c unit went out twice leaving me without a/c for over ten days until they finally gave in and replaced it with a new one. Nothing else was ever fixed correctly and upon my move out they asked me to move out a couple of days earlier to accommodate a new resident which I did only to later find out that they charged me over 600 dollars in cleaning fees. I had no damage to the walls or floors. This was all to clean up an apartment that I spent hours cleaning days before already. Some of the prices included 100 dollars to clean the oven and another hundred to clean the fridge. Beware of this place it is getting old and is starting to break down and they will milk you for every penny they can. The apartment is also lax on its residents smoking weed and apartment halls will stink and they do nothing about it.

Jordan, anita, and robin make renting an apartment the absolute best experience ever. Not to mention, maintenance is amazing and so quick with responding and does nothing short of a great job with the issues. I HIGHLY recommend steeplechase apartments and truly don’t see myself moving for years, great place for many reasons!

I have worked out with Burn Zone, for over an year. Mr. Wims is very considerate and respectful trainer!! He is a motivator as well as a mentor !!! He is in the right location and apartment complex , that makes you feel welcome!! I always recommend Steeplechase Apartments to my clients!!! I love the cleanness of the apartment complex. . In the summer time I always see the maintenance men working, or doing landscaping. Keep up the great work, Steeplechase and Zo Wims!!!!

Hi Scott, Thank you so much for your positive feedback, we appreciate it! We are constantly working hard to make the living experience of our residents at Steeplechase at Parkview the best it can possibly be.
Office manager is beyond SNOTTY! Just rude. I love my apartment, but once my lease is up I will be leaving. Good Customer service is very important to me and you will not get it from her! Maintenance staff have always been helpful and friendly. The other two girls in the office are pretty nice as well. Not sure what HER problem is … she needs to work some place where she does not work with the public. No understanding what so ever. Just had a minor issue I wanted to discuss with her. Not worth the time.
Beautiful complex, convenient location, but dear Lord everyone employed here is so lazy. Phone calls to the office are never and I mean never returned. Maintenance issues are never resolved unless you go into the office and talk to the office staff, or keep calling and someone actually answers. The trash area is a hot mess, the dog poo bins are full, the interior hallway walls are so awful (dirty, scratched etc) for such a new complex. Lights out all over, do very dark at night. However, my least or maybe favorite issue is the "maintenance crew" The guys hang out in a room attached to one of the garages, they sit inside the doorway, smoking, checking their phone, eating, and drinking MOST OF THE DAY!! I can't find the words to describe how crazy it is. I have Never seen anything like it. I noticed it when I was home one week day and now other neighbors are obsessed with watching them. I say week day because the maintenance employees do not work weekends, nor do they mow the grounds. My neighbors dryer was repaired, it took three weeks, then they didn't hook up the vent, took another week to do that, so a month without a dryer. Crazy stuff, run if you are thinking of moving here...

First, we want to thank you for taking the time to leave a review of our community. While we are glad to hear you are pleased with the property itself, we are sorry to hear some of your experiences here have not lived up to your expectations. We strive to provide residents with the best living experience possible, from the grounds to our service, and finding out a resident has had less than an ideal time here is never want we want to see. We would love it if you would stop by the leasing office to go over your concerns in person at your earliest convenience so we can be sure to address them with you. Thanks again!
There is not near enough parking here and it seems to be getting worse. Be prepared for a long walk if you get home late.
I have lived at steeplechase for about four month s now it is a beautiful place to live.nice grante counter tops black appliances and hard wood floor.I have never heard my neighbors threw the wall so the walls are nice and thick.the office staff is always nice and friendly
The apartment is a great place to live if you work at parkview, only a minor walk. The apartment is in a great school area, one of the best schools in fort wayne. They have a great pool and near by park and walking trails, and your close to one of the greatest zoos in the nation.
Nice location, however, maintenance staff is slow and not thorough (our a.c. didn't work for two whole days when we first moved in). Our apartment became infested with bugs our second week because of a bird nest on the deck below us (another issue that should have been resolved before our move in). One dumpster for the whole complex=driving your trash around and lots of overfills. Also we were charged from our deposit for a new carpet because of a nonexistent 'strong cat odor.' Terrible apartment for the price.
these are nice as well but the price range is a bit out of my league.
I'm writing this review before the actual move in date which is approx. a week from now. Thus far, everything has been great and the apartments are VERY nice. The appliances are modern and the layout of the space is well designed. The community is filled with young professionals and near a senior living community which appeals to me because of the low noise level. If you're looking for a modern, well priced community; this is it! Steeplechase is everything I wanted and more!
Moved in a few months ago and haven't had any problems. The office/maintenance staff is great and always helpful with any questions I've had. The last resident event was a lot of fun too.
I have never seen such a horrible complex! I will not be re-signing my lease!! The sidewalks aren't cleared of snow, and the parking lots are sort of cleared. Well, the employee area is nice and clear, but the rest isn't. The trash cans located at various areas are filled to the max and over-flowing! The trash can by the mail boxes are so over-filled, trash is on the ground. The main trash area is so over-filled, it has forced me to take my trash to work and throw it away there. The places where people can dispose of their dog droppings is full. Where are they supposed to put that waste? Seriously! Get this place cleaned up! It's not my job!! Not long after I moved in, mold showed up on my windows, my sink fell through the counter, and other problems with my appliances. I was told "this is normal for new construction and we are sorry. You aren't the only ones to have this problem, a lot of our tenants are experiencing the same issues." Wonderful. This is NOT NORMAL!! The hallways are dirty and haven't seen a sweaper at all! There are leaves, rocks, dirt; you name it;it's on the floor and the stairs! Not really sure what the crew does here, but I can tell you what they don't do! I have loud neighbors and I can't wait until my lease is up! The only positive thing I can say is the office staff is great! The manager and assistant manager are nice, helpful, and always helpful! I do like that it's close to certain stores and shops, but it just isnt' worth all the trouble to live here. Not wasting any more money that I have to here and leaving ASAP! Worst apartment I have ever lived it!!
You can't beat these apartments! Very roomy and nice. Great Staff.
Property Manager at Steeplechase at Parkview, Responded To This Review
Do these pictures make the rooms look narrow and small? Or are they quite large? I am hoping to fit a love seat and three person couch set in the living room. I also want a King size bed in the main bathroom (this is all for a 2bed 1 bath. Just hoping the rooms aren't as small as the pics make them seem!
Steeplechase apartments are in a great location with easy access to the hwy. The apartments are brand new with up to date amenities and open floor plans. The staff and service are exemplary. The community is very friendly and there is a nice playground/park right across the street at Parkview Regional Medical Center.
