Avon is a suburban community located just minutes west of Downtown Indianapolis. Do not rent here. Rent is over priced and they will charge you for leaving a piece of hair in the sink. We were never given a notice saying we needed to give a 60 day notice. We were chrarged $355 for not giving a notice, even though they have the place rented out. If you don't mind having bugs in the house move in here. Doors aren't sealed tight at all. You can take a 10 minute shower and the water goes cold. The place is a rip off.

While there are policies in the lease that we do have to uphold we do our best to communicate with our residents via email and letters when their lease is expiring so if you feel we fell short, I apologize. We also offer extermination and 24 hour maintenance so I?m very sorry that the issues were not reported so we could take of them for you. At our previous apartment in Zionsville we were paying only $50 more than what the base rent is here at Steeplechase but the apartment was far nicer. At Steeplechase, the apartment is decent size with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is what we were looking for, but the kitchen is small and the dishwasher doesn't work as well and the ice maker quit working. The appliances are not what I was expecting. But we needed a new place closer to family and the sitter. But when we came to look at the apartment, I was expecting the rent to be $880 which was the lowest advertised price for this apartment; however, when we sat down to talk with someone, we were quoted a different price and I still don't really know what the big jump was (we are at $980). We've had to call maintenance services multiple times for various things, and we've been in this apartment for about 4.5 months.

I lived at this complex from May 2008 to March 2014 and enjoyed it very much. The first year I was in a little one bedroom and when I wanted to upgrade to a 2 bedroom for more space, I stayed in the complex because I didn't find anything I liked better elsewhere. Basic shopping (Walmart, Target, Meijer) are all located within a couple miles, as well as a dozen restaurants and fast food joints. I absolutely loved walking across the street to the movie theater almost every week. I did use the car wash bay and vacuum a few times a year, and the fitness area and pool were always kept in good order and quite popular. This facility is popular with families and pet owners; maintenance was always prompt; I always felt safe on the grounds.

We have been renting a here 2 bed 2 bath apartment for 2 years now. On the plus side the bedrooms are large, neighbors are friendly and quiet, close proximity to stores and restaurants, and the staff in the office is lenient and helpful. We had problems with the bank returning a check once and weren't penalized by the landlord even though they got their rent about a week late. On the downside, common areas are a bit cramped, and the convenience to shopping creates a lot of traffic. Overall we have been pleased with our experience here.
