Property Ratings at Steeplechase
My rent has increased 45% during my stay and that money isn't going towards improving the property and fully repairing water problems. I've lived here for 3 years and we have water shut-offs averaging every 1.3 months. Yup, I've counted because this issue never seems to be fully addressed and it's beyond frustrating to wake up and not have hot water. The reasons vary, sometimes it's just hot water and sometimes it's all water. But even when it's working properly, I have to run water for 10 minutes to get hot water in my shower. I rarely get hot water at the kitchen sink. I wash my dishes in luke warm water and sometimes the dishwasher doesn't get hot enough to do it’s job. I don't even attempt to wash clothes in hot water because I don't believe I could get it there. The interiors are sort of shabby with low ceilings. Don't be fooled by the staged units - you may not get quartz countertops and backsplashes and they won't inform you ahead of time. You won't have that nice fencing on your patio. My neighbors have had exercise equipment and trash bags on their patio since moving in years ago, now covered in layers of dirt. Management will send out emails asking for trash to be removed but it's not enforced. I have uneven and wonky subflooring that you can feel shift as you walk. Second floor apartments are tiled and have carpet only in the bedrooms - I hate to imagine how noisy that is for people below. I don't have an overhead light in my second bedroom, there's a switch that's not wired to anything. The patio flooring is aged, warped 2x4s with nail heads sticking out everywhere. And recently we’ve been experiencing mail theft.
Nice people in the office,so clean property,no drama nowhere in the whole apartment complex,they very nice,but I would like a bigger one bedroom apartment when my lease is up soon with a patio slide door I just love living here.
The management at Steeplechase were extremely professional, caring, efficient, and personable. They provided a wonderful tour of the apartment and gave honest advice and feedback from current/previous tenants. Glad to be a part of this community.
Friendly office and maintenance staff. Apt. Was clean and ready on time for move in. I hope one day the security gates can be fixed, keeping out neighboring homeowners from using our dumpsters. Also wish the patrons here would treat the grounds as their own home areas, doing there fair share to keep the grounds and parking area clean.

Hello all, I really hope this review is beneficial with helping you make a decision. If you are a loyal, curious, and studious tenant Do Not move into SteepleChase apartments. They will Not appreciate you. I have lived in these apartments for nine years and I have never missed a rent payment, received a lease violation, or any complaints. All I wanted was new carpet or to have my carpet cleaned by the property. Instead they refused to do it and lied repeatedly. I got to watch them hire professional cleaners for my neighbor’s apartment yearly. To pour salt on the wound they also replaced her carpet completely. Be careful they really pick and choose who they want to assist. I can name hundreds of things they do to cater their tenant’s that LOOK similar to them. Nine years with the same carpet and two floods. Also, they leave notes on the door at least 7 days throughout each month informing you that you will have ZERO hot water. Two months ago we went three weeks without hot water and we were never reimbursed. At least 1 day out of the month they will let you know that the water will be off 9-5. I Dislike moving but after Nine years I moved. Been at my new place for two days now. I finally got my new carpet, someplace else.
