Some good and bad... the utilities not being charged on a monthly basis has been quite confusing as the charges are separated on an irregular timeline. The leasing office is not very helpful if you do not go in person, as it is virtually impossible doing anything over the phone or by email even with persistence. Laundry machines and dryers are quite dated and/or are inefficient. However, the spaces themselves are nice for what you are paying for, and the shuttle to the medical center is quite convenient and a good perk. The gate also recently got fixed, which is good for resident safety.
Good experience for the most part. Quiet neighborhood and nice community. Management has change a few times but all has come with improvement.

The complex is well maintained and the residents are quite, there isn't any crowds of people standing around on the outside. I noticed some persons walking around with their dogs and there wasn't all of the barking. I pray that the staff continues to be helpful and kind.

Visitors permit is getting really difficult. Esp if there are any last min visitors. Trash collection is also not working out. Most of the time trash is not collected. Phone calls are not answered.

I like the fact that management keeps the resident's informed of any issue there may be. The workers there will help you when you call, they will get to it asap. But they need to have a maintence request before they do anything.

Gates been broken for over 6 months and management won't fix it. I've seen cars on blocks from wheels being stolen, neighbors car converters stolen, broken windows, and my car has been broken into. The property is not maintained and the grass will get about 12-18in before they mow it. Earlier this year the grass got over 2ft high. Staff is friendly, but management is poor. You are better off paying slightly more for nicer units, property, and security

I have been enjoying my stay here, however there are just some things I wish were fixed. Specifically the gates are broken. It definitely is something I wish was fixed to make me feel more safe and secure. Also I would really a appreciate if the gym was updated. Other than those things it has been a good place to live. I love the location and it’s a pretty good quality apartment for the price considering the location!

Maintenace is fast. Management professional and sweet. Been here a year and this is the best it has been. I would refer anyone to stay here at the Stella now.
Safety is a serious concern here. Gates are often broken and management is not interested in doing much about it. Wheels and rims were stolen off my car on a weekday night and management was uninterested in the issue. Lack of cameras and general security despite being gated. Additionally when moving in, apartment was filthy (floors and cabinets sticky and dirty). Only plus side is this place is relatively quiet and maintenance guys are quick and friendly. Otherwise stay away signing a lease here is not worth sacrificing your safety. This place is only concerned with maximizing profits at the expense of tenants and their safety.
The management company "Roscoe Property Management" is as conniving as they come. Apartments built with zero insulation. Every single repair is done as cheaply as possible and they leave an absolute mess for you to clean with every job. Not once have they cleaned after themselves. Took 7 months since move-in day to fix a dryer (no joke...7 months after repeated maintenance requests). You pay constant fees simply to pay them. You can't pay your rent without paying a fee...that's how ridiculous it is. No cash option..no money order..simply pay online and get charged a transaction fee. Disgusting practices. You pay an amenity fee and the amenities are always broken. The dog parks are in such bad shape, tenants have resulted to attempt to fix things around it. Been here almost a full year and the dog fountain/bath have yet to be in working condition. I put in a complaint about the insulation and the A/C running constantly the day I moved in. Apparently the previous tenant complained of the insulation issue and they still moved me to the unit without fixing it. My electricity bill ALONE runs $160+ on average...for a 1b/1b space. I know of at least 3 other tenants who have had A/C and insulation issues at these buildings. My frustrations were met with snickering from the front office workers. Apparently the zero insulation is a running joke with them. They offered to simply move me to a new unit...didn't offer any assistance towards moving costs and were going to adjust my rent...renewal offer was increased by $230/mo for the same contract in less than a year. Unreal. If you move here: -avoid any building with an attached garage. -expect to have a cleanup job every maintenance request you put in. -don't expect any sort of communication without having to impose your will -be ready to give your 60-day vacate notice..they make sure to remind you of it 30-days before your lease ends in order to make sure they squeeze an extra month out of you. -be ready to find a backup option. there are cheaper and better locations around Houston. If you see a "Roscoe Property Management", I'd avoid. 1-star. Location is all they offer and they are well aware.

The staff here is what really locked me in. There are a lot of great choices in HOUSTON, but Tamika made me sign here. She made it feel like home instead of another apartment community.as long as she’s here, I’m here.

Maintenance is very slow and poor which is the biggest flaw. They need to definitely hire more maintenance staff.
This review is based off my tour of the apartment. Upon arriving, none of the two ladies sitting at their desks greeted me until I said something. I wasn’t even sure if I was supposed to enter their office area so I just kind of awkwardly stood in the doorway. They told me it was a self guided tour which I understood. I went in their model unit and liked the layout, but when I opened the drawers, I saw SEVERAL dead baby roaches in them. I thought maybe it’s because the unit was unoccupied. The location is nice and they had an available unit in my price range so I was still thinking of signing a lease today or tomorrow, but once I got back to the leasing office, I changed my mind. Nobody asked how things went or if I had any questions. I asked about different units and thought my questions were pretty simple like “do all units come with a storage?” but one leasing agent said, “I’ll email you all these answers.” I asked if I could see the amenities and she told me they were only for residents. I said okay, but could I maybe take a peek so I can see what you offer before deciding on signing a lease and she replied, “We have pictures online.” Pictures can be deceiving which is why I don’t opt for virtual tours. She never even asked me for my contact information to email me the answers. What a shame, I really did like the layout, location, and price, but the behavior of the leasing agents is not something I want to deal with for at least 15 months. If they can’t help prospective residents, I can only imagine how the treat their current ones.
Apartment is very nice looking, but parking is difficult to find and help is hard to get ahold of. Not worth how expensive they are.
Barely any visitor's parking and barely any permit parking. Permit parking is always being taken by cars without a permit and when asking the staff about it, they give you a number to a towing company that never picks up the phone. If you're okay with hiking to your apartment, getting rude customer service, and maintenance that doesn't pick up the phone , go ahead and live here.
Do not live here. I faced continuous issues with a leaky roof that had been there since Harvey (I lived on the 3rd/top floor.) Despite multiple work orders, the leak persisted. It got to the point that if it was going to rain longer than a day, I just put in the work order where all maintenance would do us repaint the ceiling in the bathroom where the leak was. Honestly when I knew I was moving out in over a month I left the stain on the ceiling because if the apartment crew didn’t care, why should I. There’s no parking. If you weren’t in a resident parking spot by late afternoon you either parked in Guest (which there was hardly any of), or you parked in an assigned spot that residents paid extra for. It got to the point where I paid extra for covered parking. There is no parking garage unfortunately. There doesn’t seem to be enough maintenance staff. Trash in the hallways, cobwebs on the lights, busted handrails on the stairs, and deep stains on the walkways/stairs that would come off with basic power washing. Finally the biggest headache. After I moved out I owed a fee for cleaning the apartment. Standard and not a problem. I print off the form, fill it out with payment information, and email it back late September. Mid November I receive a letter from a collection agency stating that I haven’t made payment. The front office at Stella admits they were in the wrong and that they’ll take care of it. There is email documentation of this. November ends, no correction. December ends, no fix. January ends, still a problem. February has now come and gone and Stella is still not owning their mistakes. I finally have enough free time to correct their issue for them. At this point Stella should be paying me for doing their job for them. For what you’re paying in rent and fees you should be living in a better community, with actual competent staff, and know that you’ll have a place to park and your repairs are completed thoroughly and without further issue. Do not live here.

Stella is the place to be in the Medical Center!! The prices are definitely reasonable for the area. The unit I leased is very luxurious to say the least!! The staff are friendly, helpful and very responsive to all request!! Renovations are in play at the moment and the noise is non-existent!! These guys know how to work fast and do it quietly! The residents I have met so far are wonderful. Pool and gym are always kept clean clean clean!! Pet friendly is awesome!! They actually have a mini dog park :) If you are looking for a place to call home, come and see what Stella has to offer. My leasing agent was Najee, she streamlined the entire process and is very knowledgeable. Najee can definitely get you set up in your new home :) The Ramirez Family
Fantastic location: easy access to the Medical Center without being stuck in the traffic of a lot of other apartments in the area; 288 and 610 are less than two minutes away. A slight decrease in "luxury" from other apartments in the area of a comparable age but a big decrease in rent charges with large, open floor plans that allow for creativity. Top it off with an incredibly friendly and responsive office staff.
