Property Ratings at Stenton Apartments
Pros: -Apartments are pretty spacious. - Quiet. For the first 3 months I thought I was the only person who lived in my building because of how quiet it is. - I'm close to a ton of things. Surrounded by 3 gas stations and a lot of grocery stores. Also, there's a bus stop in front of the complex. - Friendly maintenance. - you can mount a TV. You can use nails to decorate. - Heat is good and doesnt kick on unnecessarily. Cons: -Mice. 2 months after I moved in I saw a mouse while I was in my bathroom. They mostly get in through the stove and the water heater closet. They offer pest control but it's pretty lax. Traps are never changed out and you're pretty much expected to handle any critters you may catch. I did go out and buy my own things for it and they work. -cosmetics. If you decide to get an apartment here they will allow you to go through the apartment and write down any flaws you may see. DO IT CAREFULLY. There are tons of things that I didnt really notice when I moved in. Sliding closet doors are uneven, lose screws in the walls that have been either been stripped or arent the correct type of nail for a wall in the first place. Outlet panels that fall off. Ect. We were promised new screens this past summer and never recieved them. Many of my neighbors don't even have screens. -Fuses. My fuses blow ALL THE TIME. They blow to the point that I can't run my AC and the microwave at the same time. I have the basics plugged in. I unplug my AC in the winter but in the summer I either have warm food or a cool apartment. It sucks. -AC is a wall unit. It never reaches my bedroom unless I want my bill to be 300 dollars. I essentially sleep in my living room during the summer. - Parking. Yes Stenton Plaza has a complex with parking but there are tons of people who do not live here that park here. I do occasionally check out windshields to see if I see a sticker and most of the time I do but lately it's been harder and harder to park near my building. Vehicles without stickers should park on the street but that never happens. Also there are people doing car maintenance in the parking lot, taking up two spaces at a time. I saw a guy getting his oil changed a few days ago. - washer and dryer are super old and super expensive. Overall a decent place. Since a lot of the cons I listed, I can work around, I don't mind living here. I hope they consider keeping track of the parking issue.
