Property Ratings at Sterling Heights Apartments
My dishwasher broke in September 2022 and at the time of me posting this review (11/15/2022) it's still broken and waiting for a replacement. My apartment had bugs. It was sprayed multiple times and still had LOTS of bugs. The lot is plowed horribly in the winter. My neighbors were bad at picking up their dog poop. Other neighbors didn't watch their kids at all on the playground and they would come up to my back door and bother my cats.
I lived here for 3 years and never had an issue with the property manager or the unit I lived in. the grounds were kept and anytime I called for maintenance they came asap. Ginger was amazing at responding to me when I had questions and always nice when we spoke. I am moving back to Missouri and hopefully they will have something available when I come back!
Me and my friends are searching for an apartment and this place seemed like a great option for us so we scheduled a tour. When we arrive the woman at the front desk asked us if we were 20 years old, apparently you can't lease from them if your not 20 or older. Not anywhere on this or Sterling Heights website did it list this age requirement. What a waste of our time.
We have lived in this 2 bedroom townhouse now for 13 years. Other than dealing with some loud neighbors and dogs running without leash, it's a great place to live. The townhouse was nice and clean. Everything was in great shape when we moved in , but now it needs some renovation and hopefully they can replace the carpet with laminate.. The grounds are beautifully kept up, they just planted new bushes . The maintenance is quick to respond, but if something happened on the weekend you may have to wait till Monday, as not all issues can get fixed on the weekend. Management has always been nice and helpful. We love the pool during the Summer. The gym room is nice and never crowded. It would be nice if they have a room which can be rented out for birthday parties. They have the best playgrounds for the kids. It's reasonably priced and close to shops and restaurants.
I spent just about two years at Sterling Heights apartments. Just want to say that the property manager is awesome at what she does. Not only does she manage her employees, but takes care of her residence as well. I was fortunate enough to have met her two years ago when I begin living in Sterling Heights. The apartments are nice and clean, and maintenance is readily available for anything you would need after hours. The apartments are a centralized location With easy access to shopping and dining! My stay there was exceptional!

Thank you so much for your kind words. We really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience with us—and we agree, Our staff is truly wonderful!
We have lived in this 3 bedroom townhouse now for 3½ years. Other than dealing with loud and/or obnoxious neighbors, it's a great place to live. But you'll get loud, obnoxious neighbors anywhere. The townhouse is spacious enough and decent looking. Everything was in great shape when we moved in and very clean. The grounds are beautifully kept up. The maintenance is quick to respond when we've had an issue. Management has always been nice to us and helpful. We always enjoy the pool during the Summer as well. I love that they have playgrounds for the kids also. And it's reasonably priced too. Over-all, it's a good place to live.

Thank you for your review and kind words. We pride ourselves on great customer service.
I have lived in Sterling Heights for over two years. The first year was great-- quiet, clean, reasonably priced, and conveniently located. In the last year, though, things have gone downhill. The linoleum in my apartment has separated from the floor. It's torn in places (which I'm sure I'll end up paying for), and bunches up, so I trip on it in my kitchen unless I keep it pressed down. I was told it would be upgraded with the faux wood laminate in all the other apartments as the budget for such things allowed. That was fall 2015, and nothing's been done. Two college-aged guys moved into the two-bedroom across from me earlier in the year. Since then, at least two or three more guys and girls have moved in. Every night they have guests, which make at least half a dozen people drinking, screeching, swearing, smoking and fake-giggling at inhuman volumes. My apartment building is the alley behind a Jersey Shore sports bar, basically. I guess what they may lose in security deposit, they more than make up by splitting the rent five or six ways. I feel so sorry for the tenants below them. Children are everywhere, except on the huge, well-maintained green space and playground. So, driving is a problem. They seem to make an effort to play and run in front of your car, and then stop, like defiant deer. They play between the buildings, screaming at, and bouncing balls against, the walls (a.k.a. my bedroom). Some of the kids in my building have slumber parties in the ‘secure’ storage area in the basement where the residents store valuables (they keep a filthy mattress down there). Anyway, a number of my stored items have been broken. I’ve seen used syringes in the laundry room trash can on two or three occasions. The laundry room is located less than fifty yards from the swimming pool and the day care center. I have not witnessed any needle use firsthand, though. I’ve had clothes stolen from the laundry room several times. Once, a shirt re-appeared in the trash can weeks later with some other assorted garments, but I won’t put my hand in there. Basically, if you (or you and many other people) are just looking for a place to squat reasonably cheaply, this is a good place, as long as you don’t mind paying for the privilege of tolerating noise and bad behavior night and day. It’s like Animal House meets Lord of the Flies. And possibly some of the other buildings are better. Anyway, it used to be a nice, quiet place I liked to call home.
lovely place to live...super service and personnel! "a great place to call "home". The entire staff always greet you with a smile and are very helpful to our needs, and are quick to attend to any problems that arise . The grounds and facilities are kept clean every day by friendly courteous workers. The workout room are rarely crowded and the pool area is lovely.. . I live alone here and could not feel safer anywhere else....a beautiful neighborhood .
If you have a pet or even a child for that matter they will automatically KEEP your DEPOSIT. We stayed here for a year it is AWFUL poorly insulated, draft under kitchen sink, our walls and ceilings had holes and were peeling, blinds were awful, smelled of smoke, we had a page and a half of things that were wrong with it. Nothing was ever fixed in the year we spend there. The pool you think is nice but they never clean it and it will randomly close if they don't have someone to "watch it" , the play grounds are a joke. Broken holes making it unsafe, medal exsposed, and missing all the swings, the office staff seems nice at first but its all an act to sign. RUN NOW while you can.

Sterling Heights Apartment has a lot to offer. It is like living in a park and is in the heart of St Charles County. The complex sits on 23 areas for only 186 apartments. Beautiful pool, basketball courts, workout room etc. The townhouses are very nice, have a patio area, basement for storage, washer dryer hookups and maintenance staff is on call 24 hours a day.
This is the worst apartment complex ever! We moved in and from day one we had problems. We were paying for a three bed two bath and one of our bathroom toilets didn't work for a year and a half. We called the management and they kept saying they would come fix it and never did. I called numerous times and finally a year and a half later they fixed the toilet. We still had to pay full rent all of the months we didn't have a second working bathroom. The apartments are drafty and have tons of holes etc. letting in air at all times. We had bugs in our apartment and had to call every month to try and get someone to come out and exterminate. The management at this complex is very rude and doesn't care about any of the tenants. They were painting next door to us and I could smell the paint fumes coming into our apartment complex. I called the management and was told there is nothing I can do for you, go to your parents or open your windows. I have three small children, one being a newborn and there was no I'm sorry for the inconvenience or anything. I would never ever recommend this apartment to anyone unless you want to deal with the worst apartment and the worst management!!!!
Amazing, quick to fix things that need to be fixed
This two-bedroom apartment features one bath. The bathroom does not have much counter space. The kitchen comes with an electric stove/stovetop, two sinks (no sprayer), garbage disposal, and one fridge. The kitchen floor is a faux wood (new), and the carpet was new when we moved in. This apartment includes basic-extended cable, which is nice. Windows are treated with mini-blinds. The living room deck door has vertical blinds. The deck is small and not that great looking. For the price, this is a decent apartment.
Sterling Heights townhouses are very nice. The one issue I have had is with the upstairs not cooling. They have put insulation on ac. Hasn't helped. Grounds are beautiful. They have a great pool. Management responds quickly to any issues.
