Property Ratings at Stewards Crossing
I’ve been here for a few months and I’m waiting for the big catch because not only is it SUPER affordable for what you get, it’s a very pleasant area to be in. Friendly neighbors, active community with people constantly walking around, and very friendly management staff. I absolutely love living here.
Management was always there to help me when I needed help, and was always super nice! People there are very friendly and I always felt safe walking around. Everybody walks their dogs or brings them to the dog park. Another Park right next store. It is a great place to live.
trash pickup is two people in a truck and berkshire charges you 50 a month to have them just pick it up from the little trashbin outside your apartment. apartments have mold and bugs- maintenance smokes cigarettes inside apartments and never show up on time. DONT LIVE HERE
We booked an appointment to come in to see a model one week ago and now they said we never booked the appointment and not to mention the models they were suppose to show us they rented out this week with out contacting us to inform us that they no longer had the models we were interested in. We spoke with Claudia last Saturday and this Saturday she said she doesn’t have an appointment with us. We came a long way to see these apartments. They’re nice on the outside, but employees just showed us the internal feel. Never will I ever live here!
I lived at Stewards Crossing for a year after I sold my house and I absolutely loved it. The leasing office staff are so sweet and helpful, I can't say enough about how amazing they are!!! Maintenence issues were done ASAP with plenty of follow up. The pool is beautiful and well kept and there are grills and bocce near the pool. And there's a tennis court and walking trails nearby. The apartment itself was a slice of heaven, I couldn't hear any of my neighbors ever, it was really quiet. And there's valet trash, which was a big plus. I truly wish I could have stayed at Stewards Crossing but a new job forced me to move up north. I would definitely recommend!!!
I have been a tenant at Stewards crossing for 2 and a half years and the apartments aren't so bad, but this place isn't worth it at all in the long run. Management simply looks for ways to nickel and dime you. Definitely spare yourself the trouble moving into this place, apart form the hidden fees and costs, management simply ignores you. Also, a lot of people in and around the complex smoke which makes it difficult to enjoy any nice weather. Consider yourself warned, you will not be treated fairly or with respect, even after 2 and a half years of on time rent payments. There are much nicer, affordable options nearby.
I recently moved out of Stewards Crossing and would like to warn anyone who is considering livi here against it. The property is poorly managed and the recently appointed (as of early 2017) is no better. They are petty and do not respond to requests. Their online system is faulty and regularly requires updates. The maintenance staff is rude and not helpful. The management team is unhelpful and annoyingly fake. Additionally, while the apartments appear lovey at a viewing, the features are cheap and fall apart regularly which requires additional maintenance requests that are only occasionally responded to. It is also not a very safe community. I had neighbors who violently fought domestically for months with numours police visits and nothing was done to ensure other residents safety from these violent people- and certainly nothing done to help with the distruption. Further, there are regularly liquor bottles and other littler in the parking lots. They also over charge and add charge regularly on rent and basically steal at every possible opportunity. The way they treat their residents is disgusting! I recently moved out of Stewards Crossing and would like to warn anyone who is considering livi here against it. My visit to Stewards Crossing was awesome the leasing professional Larry was great & did not sugar coat anything. He was total honest with every question I asked him without going against those "Fair Housing" law that he kept defending. I came into the leasing office that looks appealing to the eye just like the rest of the property on a Wednesday at almost 7pm without an appointment. Larry greeted me with an elatling "HELLO HOW ARE YOU" I asked him was the office about to close? Larry said we close at 7pm only on Wednesdays but no problem have a seat let's chat. Now that was a warm welcome. Larry toured me a 2 bedroom 1016sqft & it was to tiny for my husband & I taste but once again it looks appealing to the eye. It was totally over priced for the size & low end materials. I notice that all that was done to upgrade these units were new white cabinet doors, grey paint on walls, black wood counter top & stainless steel cover front kitchen appliances. But other than that Larry was very knowledgeable about the area & the other communities near by. In my personal opinion he's the life of that property. Larry said he's only been in the apartment leasing business for 9 months but it seem as if he has been leasing for many years. Him & I was chatting in the leasing office until all most 8pm. From my understanding he's no longer with that company or at that property & there's a whole new office staff. I was lucky to have that experience with him.
I accidentally paid an extra month of rent, and upon move-out, the company REFUSED to refund me the money. They stole my money, and delivered me a DESPICABLE product. Worst rental experience ever. SAVE YOURSELF!
Prior to signing the lease, I was informed by the current management at Stewart's Crossings that I was unable to see the unit prior to move-in, due to maintenance work and the "quick turn around time" required from the last resident. Later, I found out that this unit was actually vacant for several months prior to my move-in. Throughout the four months I was a resident at this property, I had encountered the following issues at an apartment complex that advertises as “luxury”: • Carpet had not been vacuumed or cleaned • The apartment unit smelled like smoke (still not resolved at move-out; this was the primary issue with room at move-in, which initiated the verbal agreement to not charge me for rent until it was resolved) • Kitchen stove was not cleaned, had caked-on grease • Dishwasher- did not latch to close • Refrigerator – had rust along the inside • Washing machine – mold along the inside • Clothing dryer – heating apparatus did not work • Fire alarm – was dying and was not replaced • Two windows didn’t latch • Sliding door in the bedroom to go outside did not lock • Bedroom door didn’t lock • Bathroom fan was broken Further, maintenance would come into my apartment without notice or even informing me that they were in my apartment after the fact. The staff and management were the most disrespectful, pretentious, and unhelpful people ever. I've never experienced such horrific "customer service". Not only did they provide a terrible product, but they refused to reimburse me when I had overpaid on rent. The company is a disgrace. Save yourself the headache and money... there's nothing luxurious about it.
I did a lot of research before moving to the area, and unfortunately chose the wrong time to move here. Management has recently changed, and if i could give this place negative stars I would. They over charge you for everything, and force you to pay for garbage pickup that happens when they feel like. I paid extra for an "upgraded apartment" that has literally been falling apart since day one. You can schedule a maintenance appointment, but don't plan on them showing up. I would encourage you to look anywhere else, the only reason I ended up in this dump is because they allow pets, so thats why I'll give them 1 star. As for the new management, good luck if you have to deal with them!
