With tidy apartment buildings and spacious single-family homes lining the meandering streets of Silver Lake, this suburb four miles south of Wilmington welcomes residents with a sense of serenity and amazing access to water-based recreation. While only a handful of houses surround the lake that gives the neighborhood its name, the Cape Fear River borders the western edge of the Silver Lake neighborhood, and the Intracoastal Waterway and Atlantic Ocean are only two miles to the east.
Take a ferry or sail your own boat to Masonboro Island, just east of Silver Lake, to enjoy hiking, boating, fishing, and swimming, and then stop for a bite to eat with neighbors on your way home at one of the many local faves along Carolina Beach Road. The Cape Fear Seafood Company, one of the top-rated restaurants in the Wilmington area, prepares locally-caught seafood perfectly.

Property Ratings at Still Meadow Village
I am new to Still Meadow and the process has been smooth. Katie has been so accommodating and communicating with me throughout this process. The area is very well kept and the apartments are spacious and very affordable. I love the screened in porches. The bathrooms are very spacious. I am excited and looking forward to moving in.
My wife and I have lived here about 2.5 years. We are very satisfied with living here. A great location. Close to the beaches, all the main stores are within a short drive, plenty of good restaurants.Units are spacious lg bathroom ,living room and bedroom screen in porch is great we use it a lot . Staff are always ready to help any time u ask.Amenities are great fitness center is new the walkway is good help keeps us walking and the salt water pool is great . Before we moved here we looked at a lot of places and found Still Meadow to be the best for our budget.Very happy we moved here we are enjoying our new life at the Meadow's and look forward to a long stay here.(delnascar)
I love living here. First lived here in 2015-2016, and just came back after leaving Wilmington for 15 months. The complex is very quiet, the grounds and buildings are beautifully maintained and security is never an issue. Plus, you can’t beat the location!
Great community, spacious rooms, lots of parking, and a friendly office staff are some of the reasons that my family has lived here for years!

Thank you for the review. We appreciate and value you as a resident. We always love hearing when our residents are happy.
We've lived at Still Meadow for 1.5 years now. We live in a 2BD/2BA apartment. Overall, we are satisfied with our experience here, but like every apartment, there are hits and misses. Pros: -you get a lot of space for the rent -pet rent is only $10/month -very well lit parking lot and stairwells (stairs are actually open air, so it feels very safe) -courtesy police officers live in the complex -diversity of the residents (it's not just singles, not just families, and not just students) -the screened in porch is awesome -nice saltwater pool with new deck furniture -big laundry room -plenty of parking, no covered options though -the bathrooms are HUGE Cons: -pet stations are sparse -the dog park is a joke and is located on the far corner of the property -kitchens are a little cramped, but there are lots of cabinets -kitchen/bathrooms fixtures/finishes are outdated -buildings are dirty (bugs, frogs, and lizards everywhere) and they only pressure wash once a year -no walk in closet in the master bedroom -no business center or 24/7 community clubhouse -the gym is connected to the maintenance building, and that's where the maintenance people use the restroom. If you're a woman, I don't suggest going to workout by yourself for this reason.

We appreciate your feedback. I'm not sure if you are aware or not, but our new Bark Park is now towards the front of the community. If you haven't had a chance to try it out yet, please do, we'd love to get your feedback on it. Pressure washing is done once in the spring and again in the fall. We do have a few different 2 bedroom models, with a couple of them offering walk in closets in the master. If you are interested, we could look into a transfer for you. Please feel free to contact our office with any questions.
I have been living in Still Meadow Village for 5 months now. I love the pool and the apartment layout. I wish we had a larger kitchen and a bar area but love the big bathroom and screened in porch. I would prefer newer appliances such as stainless steal and newer not so out dated cabinets but over all the apartment has been a great money saver for us after downsizing from a 1500 square for home after our 2 sons married. The electric bill is very affordable and water is as well. W are saving around 700.00 a month on utilities and affordable rent.
