Property Ratings at Stillwater Village Apartments
I know seeing 1.8 stars might dissuade you from applying here, but you should know that things have changed since the last review 5 months ago. About 3 months ago, management completely changed — all employees but one were removed by corporate for the way they were treating tenants. Now, they have much better management, especially the one person they kept. They have been so incredibly helpful and kind, and are doing their best to fix tenant relations after the previous management. I almost didn't apply because of the reviews, but I am so glad that I did.
Promised a newly renovated, river facing apartment. Got barely usable center facing apartment that had broken window screens, broken showerhead, windows that fall in because the locks don't work, stains on the carpets, appliances, and walls. Any attempts of fixing things in the apartment turns into a several week battle with no change. They've been "doing construction" all summer of which they have only touched a handful of apartments and the office, and often have workers shouting across the courtyard not working.
Lied to us from move-in on which apartment we were signing for. We were promised a fully renovated apartment, but everything was painted over, windows fall in due to no latches, our showerhead isn't fully in the wall. Was not even cleaned before we moved in, and had paint all over carpets. Any time we've requested maintenance, they don't show, save one time when they pounded on our door at 7a and demanded entry before calling us (which is marked when submitting request). Had maintenance manager contact me directly about our windows and screens, and he crashed communication as well.
this is a glorified college dorm, no matter how much glitz they throw at you in their ad. they suck the life out of you through your wallet, anything you need adds to the monthly fees.. it's not like I'm in a homeowners association here! With the restrictions they have in place everywhere (are they renting the place or am I?) I wouldn't be surprised if these fascists whipped out a scale to weigh your cat, either.
Went for a tour recently and I have to say the two ladies running the show that we met. Well not quite sure what they do in that office all day because they didn't seem to know jack about any of the apartments. Couldn't even tell us what apartments were available without having to go to a manger. Didn't really seem to care about having our business either. Not any good vibes here at all. The apartment we did end up checking out had the heat up so high that it was 60 degrees outside on that day and about 90 on the inside. Couldn't give an explanation for that. Appliances looked old and beat up. Cabinets just the same. Lots of space but not worth the money.
Don't have a party in the midnight. Do have some lights on the road.
We looked at one of their tw bdrm aprtments, and were very surprised to see not much is up to date! The kitchen needs help, the fridge opens up right into traffic area and just about hits the door to the oven! If I were you all, I would despretly update these apartments and there would be much more visitors.
