When the Woodlands was created as a master-planned community, the developers wanted to retain as much of the natural, wooded landscape as possible. As a result, this aptly-named community features 135 parks, 210 miles of hiking and bicycling trails, more than 1,800 acres of open green space, and 14 swimming pools. The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion provides an open-air concert site, and several lakes and canals -- including the vast Lake Woodlands -- add even more beauty to the community. The Woodlands is home to several golf courses, including the Woodlands Country Club Palmer Course, the Tournament Course at the Woodlands Country Club, and the Club at Carlton Woods: Jack Nicklaus Signature Course.
While apartments in the Woodlands are terrific for commuters -- just 28 miles north of Downtown Houston and directly off I-45 -- the Woodlands is no longer considered the bedroom community it was designed to be.

Property Ratings at Stone Creek at The Woodlands
Never live here. I moved in and have had a German roach infestation, carpet beetles, and black mold in my vents and management is awful

I have lived at Stone Creek for over 3 years and it has been a really great experience. The management and maintenance staff are friendly here and they really care about you and any issues or concerns you might have and they resolve it pretty quickly. Also when putting in a maintenance request, it gets taken care of quickly. The property is very well maintained and is people/ pet friendly as well. The units are cozy and roomy and were recently renovated. I just renewed my least for another year!! Thank you to Julie, Samatha and Bryce for all that you do for such the great experience!!

Thank you for being a valued resident for over three years! We are delighted to hear that you have had a great experience in our community. Your praise for our management and maintenance teams means a lot to us, and we will be sure to pass your compliments along to Julie, Samantha, and Bryce. We look forward to continuing to provide you with a comfortable and enjoyable living environment and are proud to have earned your 5-star review.
Very shady management. Stone Creek moved back my move in/out dates by 1 day after I had set up my renters insurance. I asked them if I should update my policy after they made this change. They told me no, my existing policy was fine. After I moved out I was assessed a $50 penalty because my renters insurance expired 1day before my move out. Since then they have ignored my emails and not returned my phone calls. Don’t move here unless you want to pay bs fees after you move out.

I think this community doesn't earn this 1 start also. If I had an option to give negative stars I would have give that. This is the all time worstttttt community I lived. The Management doesn't care or value the residents. I put in lot of complaints that we see lot of roaches in the apartment. No one took this seriously. Pest control guy comes in does some spray and put some roach traps, nothing works. I think the Roach killer that we get at walmart is far better. Now we started seeing lizards and a lot of ants. For the lizards, there was no action taken. When I complained, maintenance guy came and told he didn't find any holes from outside and he said pest control will come and treat. But, pest control guy told they don't treat for lizards. and then no one cared or bothered I have a 7 months baby and I was really scared seeing so many roaches, lizards and ants, I saw many ants going near the milk bottle and as our bed is towards the wall, lot of ants get on to the bed as well. Seeing all this, I went to the office I complained personally as they were not taking the requests that I put in seriously. The answer I got was "we didn't know it was serious". I didn't understand why the hell they are not concerned about the residents. And they call this worst apartment as Premium. All that this community management care about is money and they don't care whatever happens to residents. In the last 9 months I think I would have raised more than 50 maintenance requests. I was ready to leave the apartment if they cannot resolve the issue. I also told I will terminate the lease, I can give 60 day notice and if they can waive off the lease breakage. But, they said no. Their attitude was like, whatever happens to you we dont care we want you to pay money I wouldn't recommend anyone to move/stay in this apartment

I love it here because…. It is such a small community. Everyone I have ran into is very nice and welcoming. Also it is very quiet which I thoroughly enjoy no problems here.

Thank you for sharing your affection for our cozy community! We are glad you enjoy our friendly and inviting atmosphere.
DO NOT MOVE HERE. Management doesn't care about any issues you have and are not responding to any messages or phone calls. Long story short: many units have electrical issues with AC and your electric bill will be huge! My unit had a severe crossmetering issue with the outside AC units. Basically I was paying my neighbors electric bill because the AC unit wiring was incorrectly installed. After arguing with them for 6 months, I finally decided to shut off the breaker for the ac unit and sure enough my upstairs neighbor started calling the maintenance team repeatedly. After about a week they finally knocked on my door asking if they can check the wiring. I calculated i paid more than $500 dollars for the electricity that my neighbor used, while i was out of the apartment traveling and had turned all my appliances off. Management to this date is not discussing the issue. After this, short walk around the apartment buildings, I calculated that at least 35 other units had the same wiring issue.

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. It is very important to our team to ensure that our residents' utilities function correctly, so we are very sorry if there was a wiring problem with your air conditioning. We certainly want to investigate this further, so please reach out to corporatecontact@alapts.com at your earliest convenience.
Don’t let the high rating fool you, they have a community reward system for writing 5 star reviews. Gym is lacking equipment, renovations have been a nightmare. The only person working in the leasing office that is helpful is the manager. Recently Pine Creek Ranch was bought out by American Landmark and the quality has significantly decreased. Residents weren’t notified of anything until they came home to a new name and entirely new team of employees. Crime has skyrocketed in the complex, due to security gates not working. I’ve witnessed groups of young adults checking car doors in broad daylight with intent to carhop at night fall. Go to one of the safer complexes on 242, this one is awful.

There are many renovations going on and the community is looking great. Cynthia is super informative and made the complex feel like home. I haven’t even applied!

The management and name of the apartment complex changed. The new members are so nice and respectful compared to the previous. Cynthia is by far the sweetest, Lenora is just a doll! I was planning on moving out but with all the renovations and friendly staff I changed my mind. Can’t wait to see what comes next!

Thank you for taking the time to review us! We are flattered that Cynthia and Lenora have earned your loyalty with their kind and courteous service. Please have a lovely week and let us know if there is anything we can help you with.
Problems started literally from day 1. The original unit I was smelled of cigarettes so bad you could smell it before you entered the unit. They moved me to a different one (they tried to make is sound like they were doing me a favor and that I got a better unit in a better location, not the case). The new unit was FILTHY. I ended up having to clean the entire day before I could move in. Then a few days go by and I have bites all over my feet/legs. The apartment had fleas. That lasted forever trying to get rid of them. Upon move in I requested for things to be fixed, none have been. I've been here a year now. Paint not cut in, baseboards damaged (appear to have been chewed by an animal) laundry door busted (looks like it was punched), paint peeling off trim and walls, paint on walls is different colors. It appears they painted the shower/sprayed it with something and that is peeling off. Dryer quit working and I had to request it to be fixed 3 times before the issue was resolved. "valet" trash doesn't pick up trash. Other residents leave trash out all weekend and animals get into it. Trash cans are left outside of door literally all the time. The complex over all is always dirty. Cigarettes, dog poop, trash laying around. The gates NEVER work. Non-Residents always using gym, b-ball court and taking up parking, which there is not enough of. I have to park outside of the complex all the time. Management and Maintenance are rude, Rebecca is literally the only person in the office who actually tries to help but management always shuts her down. I've actually had them talk bad about her to me. She is the only one who seems to actually care about the residents. They don't do anything to actually help. It's always someone else's fault and they never answer the phone or return calls. I've also had 3 packages that got "lost", before I moved here I never had a package get lost in the mail. So, you can make your own assumptions regarding that. I know the rent is cheap. but it's not worth it!
This location is an absolutely nightmare! Management needs a serious re work. Their attitude and customer service is completely horrid.
Was charged some questionable charges upon moving out (~$130 bogus carpet stains located UNDERNEATH the actual carpet and $70 worth of drywall charges for nail holes). Attempted to contact Pine Creek Ranch multiple times and was told I would receive returned call from manager, no returned calls were ever received. After a couple of weeks of no returned calls, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in an attempt to find a resolution for the charges. In a response to the filed complaint, the BBB said that the business would not contact them either and they recommended small claims court action. In the end, I decided to "cut my losses" and pay the charges due to me not wanting to see $200 go to collections after 90 days. Anything to juke their residents out of a quick buck is what this apartment management is about. Helpful tip for the weary renter: Have them lift the carpet prior to moving in, because they will do it when you move out.
Our apartment was burglarized on July 2nd at this complex. Not only is their maintenance employee a suspect, but they refuse to provide us with proper paperwork and documentation for insurance an police purposes. What started out as a great place to live, has quickly turned into a place that I would not suggest to anyone if they value their personal property.
Don’t rent here. The staff is ridiculous. I STILL have Hurricane Harvey damage nine months later that I’ve reported and they’ve come to see what needs to be done. Way too expensive for the trouble.
If I was rating this complex a year ago it would've gotten 4-5 stars from me. However, ever since the new management took over I have been dying to get out of this place. If I could give it 0 stars, I would. The office staff (besides one) is extremely rude and not helpful. They have lost packages of ours and when we complain they just shrug it off like it's no big deal. Then, when they think you have too many packages in the office they throw a fit. They don't check for names on the packages and will basically release your packages to anyone that gives them your apartment number. They literally let me go through the closet one time to get my packages without even watching me (no wonder my packages went missing)! They are extremely rude and not helpful. The weight room has carpet (gross!) and the basketball court echoes into the apartments that surround it. Supposedly, the court is supposed to close around 10, but it doesn't lock so I have been kept awake past 2 AM many nights. When our toilet lever stopped working they said "well we don't have the right one to replace it so we will just put this one on backwards and hope it works." It doesn't. I will say our new maintenance guy is amazing! We love him. Thank God we are moving out soon! Although I anticipate some problems then too. It makes me sad to write this review because I used to love this place!
When I asked for my deposit back after moving out, I was told my management that I owed several hundred dollars due to inaccurate charges. My friend who moved out several weeks later was also told she owed a large sum when asking for her deposit back. We both left our apartments in pristine condition. For both of us, the management refused to conduct a walk through when we moved out. The dog park was uncared for and unsafe, with several large nails emerging around the pathway, which cause injury to at least one dog and left him in a cast for several months. The light bulbs at the park were never repaired despite several requests to management. The properties lack of security and outdated gate codes failed to create a safe environment. Young men from the 5th ward who were not residents utilized the basketball court and pool after hours. Despite several complaints to management, nothing was done. Finally, police were called and confiscated a gun from one of these trespassers. There were several more incidents of property trespassers after hours where management failed to act or take such threats seriously. I did not feel safe at Pine Creek Ranch and neither did my friends.
the manager Kelly is by far one of the best managers I have come across upon my staying at apartment complexes. I am a college student that sadly sometimes doesn't get taken seriously. Needless to say, I needed help with the computers inside the business center and Kelly went above and beyond to help me. It is managers like her that make a difference in a great way! By the way this place has a neat dog park for your pups to run around and meet other new pups. Very clean with a out door doggy bath with easy access. Outstanding theatre room with plenty of seats; popcorn maker machine available Comfy yet upscale lounge area outside near the pool area Clean and nice workout room with up to date equipment for the best workout To wrap things up, great management team here; super organized and caring people. They make staying here a real treat.
This apartment complex is everything that you could imagine in an apartment. The common areas are very well maintenance and the staff is extremely polite and helpful. Each apartment has a washer and dryer and beautiful light fixtures. Unlike other apartments, it has a basketball court and two barbecue lounge areas. It's like having a little bit of everything you could ask for.
We lived here for 6 months and it was not a good experience. I would not recommend this apartment complex. When we first moved in everything was fine. We moved from Ohio to Texas and they made it pretty easy but once we moved in and signed the contract they didn't care to please us as tenants any longer. As soon as the weather started to get colder mold began to form in our windows and they didn't do much to fix it. There was about a 4 month fight to get them to do more than spray bleach and wipe it away just for the mold to grow back as soon as it became moist and damp outside. Anytime it rained the windows would leak and fill buckets. After physically showing the management the problem they still managed to do hardly anything about it. They tried for about 2 days then gave up on the problem and let us live in mold for the rest of our contract. The management and maintenance are both very lazy and only do the bare minimum to get by. We even found that the apartment complex next door to Pine Creek has the same apartment layouts as and rents them for an even cheaper price.
I love this place! Always so clean and well kept! everyone is very friendly!
