Property Ratings at Stone Lake
This is a real and honest review by a current tenant living in these conditions. I moved into Stone Lake Lodge Apartments in September of 2024. I regret the day I signed the lease. From the day I moved in literally, I have been dealing with rodents roaches and lack of proper management and maintenance. His apartments are a literal dumpster. You are surrounded by nothing but garbage trash noisy and nasty neighbors. At any given time your car will be broken into and the only thing you can do is follow police report. I am currently living without heat with two small children ages 6 and 7 years old I have called the emergency line more than 17 times today and each time someone has picked up the phone and hung up. They do not help you here. They do not care about any of your needs or concerns or maintenance orders as long as you pay your rent on time. The water is always being shut off at any random given time. So be ready to have water bottles and jugs of water stacked up so you can bathe drink and clean with. The amenities that this apartment offer are all falls. The inside and outside pools are dirty and disgustingly nasty you can see the oils from people's skin laying on top of the water of the pools. The parks are broken down dirty and full of mud. The police are always here chasing people these apartments are always on fire ambulances and fire trucks are always here because these apartments are always on fire. They're dirty and unsafe to live in. There's dog poop everywhere so be careful where you walk. You will be charged for pest control every month but they do not come out to bait or spray you have to call and put in a work order in for that. There's trash piled up mud everywhere nothing is ever cleaned up. I feel sad and hopeless until August until I can get out of here. Their web pages their website is completely clickbait. They do not look like the brochure they do not look like their website they do not look like what they are advertised on this apartment.com.
The Property manager is extremely rude & inconsiderate, they could care less what goes on as long as they are getting paid to sit there . Nothing gets fixed, it’s exactly what you pay for if not worse. Dogs EVERYWHERE & they don’t pick up the poop .
The office staff changes all the time and the property manager is awful and just mean. They do not care about how their property looks or about their residents. I have lived here 5 years. It was cheap but what you pay is not worth it but at this time no place is worth what is being charged. A lot of dogs are in the complex that are restricted and nothing is done. Lots of dog attacks.
i just love this place i have been here for about 3 and a half years and not going anywhere the stuff is so kind
These apartments have mice and fleas. You will steady hear gun shots and the police will always be around the area. When I lived here there was a leakage in my ceiling and they refused to fix it. NOTHING GETS FIXED HERE! They do not care about anything other than the money. When I lived here someone kept shooting at the cat and below us was a very toxic domestic relationship. Community is awful and communication is worst
This place is HELL on earth. I wish 0 stars was an option. I would rather live on the streets than here. I had to end my lease after 1 week & had to threaten to sue them and bring the news channels to the property so they would let me terminate it without harming my credit. They BARELY reimbursed me on my money when i paid rent and stayed there for 1 week. It is INFESTED with bedbugs. They lied to us and never said a treatment was done for our unit before we got there & our neighbor below confirmed it. They did 2 TREATMENTS & still infested. Maintenance came in our apartment unannounced. & The stairs to our upstairs apartment almost collapsed when we walked down— all they did was throw a 2x4 under it & we drove by almost 8 months later and the 2x4 is STILL THERE IT HAS NOT BEEN FIXED. Nothing worked in our apartment. Our shower BAREY worked. Our AC broke in JULY after our heat treatments so our apartment stayed at 90 FOR DAYS. WE COULDNT EVEN SLEEP THERE. The staff had me in TEARS in the office and were SO RUDE. Claudio is RUDE AND FAKE & WILL LIE TO YOUR FACE!!!!!!! WE HAD TO THROW OUT ALL FURNITURE. SAVE YOURSELF NEVER MOVE HERE.
This apartment complex is horrible. There have been shootings here, maintenance is horrible and doesn’t fix anything. During the winter we had to go without water several times due to the pipes bursting. The insulation is poor so the electric bill is high and the leasing office does not care. Neither does corporate. Do not move here.
Lovely staffs and Beautiful Apartment,I just applied though,I Hope I get approved,I will love to live in this apartment with all the amenities and lovely reviews from people that have lived there and those that are still there.
I moved in his apartments on August the 18th I didn't have a stove until last Friday the 22nd of October and another thing bed bugs everywhere never had a bed bug never seen one of my whole life until I moved into this place so I had to take and get out of my place for 24 hours so it cost me $75 for a hotel room I'm a grandmother on disability didn't have the money do you think they care oh absolutely not do you think they would take that off of my rent absolutely not and then guess what I get home and my stove don't work so now I can't even feed my child before I take her trick or treating that's not all I call the office the man upstairs from me has bed bugs falling off of him everytime he walks he won't let no one in his apartment and they won't Force themselves in so guess what everybody in the whole building gets bug bugs again do you think they care absolutely not I'm calling the Board of Health and I hate this place I wouldn't move in here if it was the last place I had to live I'd rather live outside my name is Linda Erath and I'm going to do this every day until they get this place right
Went the entire summer without air because they are "short-staffed" which they were honest about when I moved in August 2017, but to still be "short" 10 months later is ridiculous. I had a 6 moth old baby, which they knew about. After putting in the request, I waited a week or more because they always took at least 2 weeks to fix ANYTHING, but it was 95 degrees in my house and my windows touch the floor, therefore being on the second floor with a crawling baby, opening them was not really a good option and fans can only do so much. I called and asked some lady to check on my work order and she told me I was far down on the list and that people had been waiting since May because they were short-staffed. I had called at the end of June. I told her about the baby, the windows, and that I would appreciate it if she'd put me a little higher on the list because i wasn't very happy that they were still using that as an excuse for their bad maintenance. She said with a tone, "I'll put that in the notes." 2 weeks later I got a new washer and dryer and needed the hot water valve turned on so i could wash my clothes in hot water. They came out to fix this 3-4 weeks later while I was at work, but didn't do anything to the air. So I called and asked why they fixed that thing but not my air, and it turns out that woman CANCELLED MY WORK ORDER. But it probably would have never gotten fixed anyway.
*Outdated and falling apart *Bad upkeep of the buildings and such - sides of the apartment buildings are turning black and green when they are supposed to be white... *Weekly shootings *Crappy security *Drug dealers *Several ODs in cars *Robberies *Crappy Service - maintenance takes forever to fix anything and it is never right the first time they fix something! *Pool had to be shut down because it was a violation against health code *Please don't live here with kids...
Stone Lake has been pretty good to us. We get a great amount of space for the amount of money it is per month. We pay $515 for our one bedroom apartment that has ~650 sp. ft. and our one cat. I do wish it had more closet space; the original tour we went on had a unit with a walk-in closet but we later found out that every unit is different. We haven't had very many maintenance issues but when we do the maintenance staff is extremely prompt and professional. We lost our heat several times last winter (because of a default thermostat) and one staff member offered to come in the middle of the night with a space heater! The pools are great even though I don't use many other of amenities. The one thing that sucks a lot is the crazy number of speed bumps! It's very safe, of course, but we live in the back of the complex and its just annoying. Overall, great first apartment for us and we've stayed there for 2 or 3 years now.
Although within minutes from interstate Stone Lake Lodge has a lovely lake right in the center with ducks and turtles. The Clubhouse has a rustic feel with A large stone fireplace as it's focus. The main attraction for me is the indoor heated pool and spa they are a relaxing escape after an Indianapolis rush hour. The apartments are spacious and well maintained. As a single woman I appreciate the crime watch program with several police officers living in our community. All and all a very nice place to call Home.
Stone Lake Lodge is one of the few complexes in Indy that has a large indoor pool with spa as well as an outdoor pool Every time I've used it, it has been very clean. There is also an indoor basketball court and exercise room. The large lake in the center of the complex is filled with fish, some as large as 2 feet long. It's very relaxing to sit on the deck and watch the antics of the ducks and turtles while you eat the food you've grilled. When you sit inside the lodge, you feel as though you are in a luxurious cabin. The location is excellent, with shopping, restaurants, University of Indianapolis and I-65 only a few minutes away and on the bus line. The apartments are older, which is reflected in the affordable rents, but the maintenance staff is quick to repair whatever breaks. A great place to live!
I'm a new tenant at Stone Lake Lodge. So new I haven't even moved in yet, my move date is 09/26. I wanted to write this review to make everyone aware of the great staff and show my appreciation to them. I applied with Michelle who is I believe the assistant manager at the property. I made her aware of certain issues that could make my approval difficult. Michelle never hesitated to work with me and was able to get me approved. So far I'm very happy with the helpfulness of the staff. I love the floorplan I chose and I love the area the property is in (very close to greenwood park mall, etc.) Thank you Michelle and Stone Lake Lodge. I look forward to moving in! :)
This is my very first apartment ever and my lease is almost up. The neighborhood is quite, the lakes are beautiful, and everybody is pretty friendly. The office staff are really nice. The only thing I didn't like about the apartment was that maintenance barely fixed anything, in the summer they close all but the main entrance and the indoor pool/hot tub never looked clean. My apartment was 2bd 2ba and I loved having my own bathroom two closets and huge bathroom mirror, oh I also hated how long it took the water to get hot. All in all I did like them.
