Property Ratings at Stone Lodge Apartments
Aja and Stacey are fantastic! The communal areas are outstanding, and I can't wait to start using the beautiful pool this summer.
I moved in 2021 and the management at the time was good they responded in a timely. Maintenance fixed stuff fast they worked with you and really cared . When the new management came in they was rude never In The office never calls back . When the back building started getting nice they didn’t help . You get wrote up for the dumbest stuff ever (for example if you leave your trash can out to long after they take your trash ) it dirty and very unprofessional do No recommend
If you need somewhere to stay and you’re not picky this is coo, when I moved in 09/09/2022 the apartment was dirty and stunk. The air and heat blows out a smell that stinks. Even after I got the furnace filter changed the heat blows out heat that stinks, so my apartment has had this stench in it since I’ve moved in that was here before I moved in. There were bug smeers on the walls , the walls were dirty in general. The carpet was dirty, I hired a carpet cleaning company to come clean my carpet when I moved in and when they drained the water from cleaning my carpet, THE WATER WAS SO DIRTY. The windows are broke. This winter my apartment has been cold, I’m wasting my money on heat. The windows aren’t sealed the insulation in the apartment is terrible , my heat is always seeping out of my apartment. The kitchen floor is like some kind of weird tile that’s not tile , like by my dishwasher the floor is coming up. It kind of reminds me of some kind of paper, like you can pull it right up. When I moved in the base boards were already lifted and cracked. I killed a mouse when I moved in, but that was the only mouse I’ve dealt with since being here. I would highly recommended that you do the checklist when you first move in so you’re not charged with anything when you move out. I made sure to write in detail what was messed up when I did the check list. As a veteran just coming from living in messed up barracks I was kind of disappointed when I moved in. But it’s still not the worst , there aren’t any roaches or bug problems I’m so thankful for that !
It’s a horrible place to live it’s always covered in trash the place is boarded up nothing gets fixed you can hear everything from outside and your neighbors in your apartment your electricity and gas bill will be sky high because there poorly insulated….. just avoid them
Living conditions are awful.. Nothing ever gets done. It's noisy and management do nothing to help. This is by far the worst place I ever lived.. Don't be fooled. It's dirty and filled with drug dealers. I wish I could give 0 stars..
Half of the things in the apartment don't work. Kitchen and bathroom lights faulty. Ceiling fan doesn't work. Water drips from tub and faucet. Told couldn't fix it because it would inconvenience the complex for 2 hours. Front door isn't installed properly, cold air from winter just takes over living room no matter how high the heat is. Laundry facility is dirty, smells and if you wash clothes they will come out smelling like dog and mold. On top of that trying to raise rent $150 more for a crappy apartment.
This is the worst place to live! I have waited 3 weeks and still waiting for maintenance to fix my apartment problems. My air has been broken for 3 weeks, my garbage disposal doesn’t work so now I’m getting flys and my faucet is broken and they still haven’t came to fix any of this. I called in 3 weeks ago and I waited a week then went in the rental office and they told me they forgot to put the request in. So it’s been two weeks and I called and asked for a update and they said we are sorry we are behind. Ever since they switch to new management with ROCO this place has went down hill. I really can’t wait to move this is the worst place to live.
FIVE STARS FOR PREVIOUS OWNERS. I've lived at Stone Lodge for a little over a few years now. Previous management and maintenance were always good. The grounds were always kept up and in winter snow removal was always done about mid morning if not before. It's been a really nice place to live. Office staff and maintenance were always on the ball when it came to anything. Stone Lodge is now under new management. Roco bought the property last month. On to the new owners. The rent has gone up more than in previous years , along with the cost of water(which is attched to your rent) and a new pest control fee. Rent is still reasonable though. You can opt out of the pest control fee (as of now anyway)but keep in mind you will then be liable for any fees that should incurr should pest control be needed in your unit. Never had bug problems here *knock on wood*.The new leases are 17 pages long and given their length not as detailed as one would like. All I can say is make sure you read it all the way through. You're signing off on a lot. Office staff is still setteling in though he is nice and makes a guenuine effort. They don't quite have it together as a whole though. Maintenance is leaving a bit to be desired. Giving them *one star* at this time. There is definately communication lacking there. The residents here are acustomed to a certain level of service ,hence the positive reviews .If you wish to make an appointment for maintenance and don't won't them entering without you there , then you better be prepared to wait a week (if it's not an emergancy) . Even if you already have appointments set , they might just not show up and not even bother to communicate that they won't be coming. The biggest change I'm seeing so far is how maintenance is run. No more getting things fixed in day. Least not for me it seems. lol. Im keeping my fingers crossed and giving the new management a chance. There is always an adjustment period and I hope they can keep this place nice and well run like it has been. In the end this is still a nice place live just keep in mind things are changing and they obviously have some things they need to get straight. This isn't a bad review for the new owners but more of a GET IT TOGETHER! and please ,not at my expense. Would I still rent here? Yes. As I am still renting here but I think I'll take up foreshadowing as a hobby. Might help in placing future maintenance requests ??
I currently live at Stone Lodge apartments and I love it here. I do not have any issues. When I need something fixed I call the office and it is repaired almost immediately. The property always looks nice and I am proud to call Stone Lodge my home.
I lived at Stone Lodge for several years. I only moved to purchase a house. The office staff was always very nice and helpful when I went into the office. The maintenance always took care of any problems in my apartment quickly. I would definitely recommend this property to all my friends and family.
I have come and gone and return again! And it's for good reason. Never had a problem. The office manager and leasing agnet so easy to talk too. They make sure if you call they are on it.
I have lived here for 3 plus years and while it is not the most luxurious it is definitely not a bad place for it's price.
one of the best apartments I had yet Stone loage a very clean quiet friendly neighborhood the staff is great the maintenance is always on time highly recommend anybody to move to move to srone Lodge
My daughter and I have lived here for almost a year now and we absolutely love it. The grounds are well kept, maintenance is available asap, the apartments are very nicely sized, the staff in the office always very friendly and willing to work with any problems that life may throw at you. In short I plan on staying here for awhile longer!!!!
Have been a tenant for awhile here and am honestly happy living here...ladies in the rental office are very pleasant and professional. Maintenance team are very good....would recommend to any one.
I have lived here for a few months now. The girls in the office have always been extremely nice and helpful. I only had to call for maintenance 1 time but they came out same day and fixed my issue immediately. I love my apartment and plan on staying here for years to come.
Stone Lodge is a great place to rent if it is your first time renting an apartment like myself. It is enough space that you need to live comfortably in a one bedroom. Staff is nice, reasonable, and good with communicating back with the needs of the tenants.
I moved in here last month and I absolutely love it! Its quiet and the grounds are always kept and clean. The pool is clean!! I rented a one bedroom and the amount of space you get is amazing. All of my neighbors are super friendly. Management is wonderful, which is rare! They are so friendly and helpful and HONEST! I would recommend this property to anyone who needs a place to live!
Whenever my neighbor decides to smoke my apartment is filled with cigarette smoke. I was told that I would never smell smoke even if I had neighbors that smoke. None of the buildings are smoke free, so you can't escape it. All of my things and clothes now smell like smoke as well. No amount of air fresheners can save you, and I even bought an air purifier for $100 and it can't compete with the smoke.
Stone Lodge is a very nice place to live. I have never had a problem with noise or loud music. My neighbors are quiet and very friendly. I never want to leave
People write good reviews so they can get their $75 late rent fee waived. They don't scoop the sidewalks till about 5 days after it snows, but will scoop the entry way for the office. They say its because the older guy has back issues, but there is a younger guy and he don't do it. I have a neighbor that is 75 yrs old and he fell last year because of this. They fixed our parking lot last summer but didn't fix what was really wrong. Its still falling apart. They replaced sidewalks, and there wasn't nothing wrong with most of them to begin with. The ladies in the office are nice to you, till you move in and actually need something. They send out letters that usually sound mean, snobby etc. I have been here for about 2 years and I have seen it all.I think that Stephanie and Kirsten need new jobs, because they don't handle this place like it should be. Spending $$ on things that we do not need, or fixing a problem by not actually fixing it. It is a nice place, till it snows, or you need something. They will tow your car away for flat tires, no security, people come here and steel your wheels right off your car and leave it on blocks, but they don't care. Wen Stephanie has the day off, T Kirsten invites her boyfriend over to hang out in the office with the blinds shut. Hmm... And they call themselves leasing professionals. This place needs new management!!!! Were moving out as soon as the lease is up. Its like they don't care about you once u sign those papers.. NOT PROFESSIONAL!!!!! I hope EVERYONE sees this! Its a shame nobody else will speak their mind. So I will. This place needs help. Remember that wen you come here and check out apartments. I recommend you rent from somewhere else.
Property Manager at Stone Lodge Apartments, Responded To This Review
Thank you for the review. I'm sorry that you are unhappy with some things here at Stone Lodge. We do not pay for good reviews. We do ask for reviews, but would never tell people what to say. We appreciate all reviews, including negative ones, as those help us see which areas we can improve on. Last year we did have some issues with snow removal. We heard the feedback from the residents, and as such, we have implemented a new snow removal policy that seems to be much more effective. For example, it snowed all night Tuesday and maintenance was out shoveling and salting the entire property early Wednesday morning. We will always be sure to address the issues of the parking lot and plan on making minor repairs each year to keep it in top shape. I'm sorry that you've found our staff to be rude at times. It is our policy to treat not only residents, but everyone who comes to the community with the utmost respect. If you find that this is not the case with one of the staff, please alert the manager (me) and I will be sure to speak with the person. If you feel you cannot speak with me, you are welcome to contact our home office and file a complaint there. I would love to speak with you in-person or over the phone so we can discuss these and any other concerns you may have. I'd like to work together so we can improve your home here. Please come into the office or give us a call at (614) 864-8176. Thank you.
I will say that this is the BEST few years of renting I can remember!! The staff here is great.. The maintenance and response time is great... I called for an issue an hour before I had to leave for work thinking I had plenty of time to get out before they came to fix it.. I was about 5 minutes before getting out of the door and I had a knock on the door, It was maintenance!! Granted that is not every time but that really stood out!!.. The Office Staff is Great!! They have get togethers and parties during the year to meet other residents.. Appreciation days and my favorite, the occasional FREE FOOD!!!! Contests and flyers to keep everyone informed.. One of the best things about this place ..IS the location!! I am not far from ANYTHING I want or need!! Groceries, auto repairs, fast food, convenience stores or just shopping you name it!!! Not to mention my friendly neighbors!! I enjoy this place and I am proud to call it HOME!! Once you sign, YOU will too!! Happy signing!! I will be proud to be called your neighbor..
These apartments are definitely appropriate for those seeking a first time move or a easy move from another state. The maintenance are always on a timely basis, the lady's in the office are understanding. Very quiet neighborhood and well manicured.
I've lived here for just under one year now and time has flown by! Stone Lodge is my first apartment and I am enjoying the stay! I haven't had any issues at all within my time here. The best part is that there's a pool and a laundry room!!!! :) They also do nice incentives/ rewards that get their residents to participate (like raffles and a pool party at the end of the summer) and I think it's great! I definitely would recommend this place!
I absolutely love stone lodge. For the last two years my son and I have called this place home. The people in Th office are always kind and courteous and whenever something went wrong maintence was there to fix it. If it were not for the price increase my son and I would be staying for a few more years, but because of that we have to go. I will say if you are I light sleeper like I am you should definitely move to the top floor because sometimes you can hear your neighbors above you.
I moved in May and so far I love it here, it's quiet and the grounds are kept clean I would recommend this place.
moved in at the beginning of may, so far haven't had any problems. grounds are kept clean and the pool is great
I've lived here for 9 months so far & I have never had any complaints about this place. It's a good place for someone with pets. There are a lot of restaurants & stores nearby. All of the staff are really nice. I have a one bedroom on the second floor, I've never had any issues with neighbors. I've never had any issues with the area either. The only annoying thing is one of the houses next to the apartments sometimes has a bonfire or uses a smoker or something because occasionally I'll walk out & it'll smell like the aftermath of a barbecue festival. I would recommend this place to other people. I moved to Columbus from Dayton when I moved here, it's definitely helped to give me a good first impression of the city. Thanks Stone Lodge! - Alexandra
Apartments are updated, great living space for the one bedrooms, laundry facilities clean. Also really nice swimming pool!
Property Manager at Stone Lodge Apartments, Responded To This Review
Thanks for the nice review! I'm glad to see that you're enjoying everything that Stone Lodge has to offer!
These apartments offer upgraded kitchens with windows and a lot of space for a great low price. The two bedrooms come with a separate pantry, linen closet and walk in closet in the main bedroom. It's very peaceful and quiet with a lot of trees and outside space. It's a small community that feels safe. They offer a coin operated laundry room with security cameras that is always kept clean. The pool is just another great feature, it goes up to 12 feet deep! I've lived here for 2 years and just signed another 13 month lease.
