Located between two rivers and stretched along the bay, Woodbridge is an ideal city for those who enjoy the water -- and shopping, since it is also home to Potomac Mills Mall, one of North Virginia's largest outlet malls. Woodbridge is located along Occoquan Bay and is home to the Occoquan Bay National Wildlife Refuge, a natural area with tidal shorelines, meadows, and marshes, making the city ideal for nature lovers, as well. And for history buffs, Leesylvania State Park is listed on the National Register of Historic Places (and is also a great place for boating and fishing). Commuters enjoy a quick, 23 miles to Washington, D.C., making Woodbridge perfect for just about everyone.

Property Ratings at Stone Pointe
I’ve moved my family into Stonepoint apartments after an extensive search and lived here for a month now. My experience so far has been nothing short of amazing. Every issue provided to the leasing office and maintained has been resolved in a effiecent time frame. Gabby and (her manager name) facilitated a simple and supportive move in process with how quick the paperwork was finalized and my apartment choice. While Aaron and Efrym have resolved every issue we’ve noticed since moving in. Overall we are happy with our choice to move in.

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to leave a review for us at Stone Pointe. We're happy we could meet your expectations! Please don't hesitate to reach out if there's anything additional we can do for you. Thank you again for leaving us this response! Your Stone Pointe Management Team
This apartment complex is terrible and I can't wait to move out. You can hear every step your upstairs neighbors take and this is especially awful when the people upstairs have children that just run around all day. The complex also doesn't enforce any of their rules. I went to the pool one day and these kids were diving in the pool splashing everyone even though the rules right next to the pool clearly said no diving. The lifeguard just sat there the whole time and did nothing.... Then there's the rule about the restricted dog breeds, but living here I see more of the restricted dog breeds (German Shepards, Pit Bulls, etc.) than I've seen non-restricted breeds. It's common to see both German Shepards and Pit Bulls at this apartment complex. But if you don't care about any of those things then this is the perfect place for you!

Hi there, we appreciate your honest review. We set a high standard for ourselves, so we are disappointed to hear that your experience with us was not a positive one.
I booked an person tour today visit and when I got there I was told that I could not tour the property because they would short staff because it’s a holiday. What I find crazy was that there were two employees there and not one of them give service me, when they clearly did not have any appointments. Don’t waste your time go to another property where management will make sure they won’t lose a client. Joselle Chatman

Hi there, we appreciate your honest review. We set a high standard for ourselves, so we are disappointed to hear that your experience with us was not a positive one.
I have lived in MANY apartment communities in my life and this place takes the cake. When we first moved into our 1 bedroom unit there was so many issues. I had to take so many pictures and only 1 got fixed. After calling and calling with getting responses like “oh we will email you” and “yes that will be fixed”, nothing was except a bleach stain in the carpet. They also don’t care about COVID 19, the woman that gave us a tour didn’t wear a mask. Sadly one of our neighbors had a death and for 4 weeks they had family from out of town visit everyday. With most of the people within the building being upset because they never put up hand sanitizers or took extra precautions. The front office staff even knew that people were from out of town. I’m sorry but I had older neighbors and they weren’t happy. When we finally broke our lease and moved out we were told 3 months rent to break the lease, always have your lease on hand people. We only lived here for a few months but it was the WORST months of my life. Our building always smelled of weed and dirty. I would NEVER recommend anyone to live here. They pull you in with specials and deals but this place is a joke. Spend the extra money to live in a safe and quiet place.
Haven't been disappointed - leasing staff is friendly and very helpful; hours meet my needs; amenities are great; maintenance team is very responsive; and the unit has nice finishes. And convenient to 95. Overall, a great living experience, and with the recent change in management, it will only get better.
***DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME*** Management and staffing are terrible. They are never in the office and the hours they are "open" are short to begin with. They never let you know that you have mail. They towed my car because the night I bought the car and came to register it through them, again, no one was in the office. When I called management about it, they told me to park on the street. This being said, they wanted me to park on the street during the night while I have a 4 month old with me. I don't recommend this place to anyone.
Lost check for rent!!! Feb. 2018Rent Than they find the check in their pile of not correctly written check pile (They had the check the whole time, they look at me dumb faced don't know where the check is in their office) Until 15 days later, I get a letter to pay rent & pay late fees & move) ........now the check does have the tenants name & address printed on check. Oh no they cannot be bothered with picking up the phone & calling so one can return to their office to make corrections. Thank God I always get a hand written receipt every time I pay rent for backup I was at there office & paid rent on time......when I got there to my surprise there is a new properly management the 4th since I've been here nearly 3 1/2 years. The property is new & was throw-ed up really fast about 3 & 1/2 years ago. Well I guess they are still working out the kinks........lol.....lol..... HEAVEN .....help this company...But I must say the girls or her staff are NOT professional at times rude they do not have administrative backup skills & to proof read checks. The Assistant manager is Great she took charged & corrected everything. The staff under the new management need professional training classes on how to accept checks. If something is missing on check have the tenant properly address the check in the moment the check is received. Not throw it in a pile of incorrect pile of checks contact the person to please return to correct the check...it was an over sight!!!! I had not written checks since nearly 20 years I'm out of practice. Had to order checks with this properly management they had no website......they are behind the times.......I had dealt business in plastic different property managements are not up on the modern ways of payment.

Hello, Thank you so much for this feedback. I went directly to my staff for more clarification. First, I want to say I am so sorry for any confusion. The check was not lost, looking at the check the written dollar amount did not match the numerical dollar amount and the bank will not take the check if it does not match. I did see where the APM email and called several times for the correction of the check. You also stated we do not have a website. We do have a website and you can post your payment online if that would be easier for you. The website is stoneapt.com. If you go to the resident portal you will be able to pay your rent there. Again, thank you for the feedback and we are so sorry for your experience. Best Regards, Randy Johnson
If I could give ZERO stars I would. RUN as fast as you CAN and FAR FAR AWAY! I was originally supposed to move on Monday 8/28/2017. (I still have not moved into the apartment due to circumstances out of my control but because of the POOR POOF Property Management, first, my fob didn't work, secondly only one apartment key worked, the apartment itself had not been cleaned once so ever after the last resident moved out, the there was no door stop behind the front door, there was incents stuck inside the front door I assume to mask the smell of smoke, the laundry room door did not stay closed, there were deep scratches throughout the wood floor, there were red splatter stains on the ceiling and walls, there was paint on the backsplash behind the stove, the counter tops need to be re caulked and were cracked all along the wall. The stove was covered in food and grease all down the sides, the dishwasher itself was broke the pieces that spin and shoot the water were not attached and just laying on the dish rack, there was peeling paint on the walls on the apartment. Not to mention the mailboxes keys did not work. The blinds in the bedroom were broken, the valances were broken and unattached, the blinds on the balcony door were not attached because the piece in which held them were broke. The carpets were dirty the bathroom had black marks on the side of the tub, pee n toilet seats, showerheas covered in black mold and rust. The refrigerator was dirty. While I could have dealt with minor wear and tear that all apartments go through this was far from the normal wear and tear;Ironically when we left the apartment, we ran into maintenance and Deraughn informed him right away of the issues , gave him the list and he said he would work it. (This apartment was supposed to be move in ready, and nothing about this apartment was move in ready, this apartments was not even inspected prior to my move in date.)I spoke with Deraughn who acknowledged the shortcomings of the apartment and apologized profusely and I agreed to let the maintenance teamwork on the apartment and push moving in back a couple days. Those days have come and gone and the moldy shower head is still in place, the broken door, the apartment has still not been cleaned by house keeping as I was told. I gave up Its Dec and I pray any and everyone avoids this property like the plaque. It looks cute from the outside but DO NOT be fooled!
These apartments are beautiful! The amenities are amazing. The staff is very professional and attentive to the needs of residents and customers.
At this point, I would not recommend this complex to anyone. There is a new company, avenue 5, and they are terrible. They have had this complex since Mar 2017 and my rent still gets messed up. All I hear are excuses as to why things are the way they are, but when you are 3 months into your execution plan, we should start to see some results. Most recently, I received a letter stating that I was late on my rent, when in fact, I paid it the day prior. Im really not understanding there poor business practices and they really need to fix a lot of issues. This is the only place that I have ever lived where I could not call and reach someone over the phone. Why must I come into the office just to speak with someone??? Avenue 5 needs to do a lot better, or pass the property over to someone who can. I will not be renewing my lease and I will ensure that everyone knows just how "great" the lack of customer service is here.
I am in my 2 lease term with this community and I must say that the current property management company (Avenue 5) is a HUGE disappointment! I renewed my lease before the new management took over - The level of service is HORRIBLE and honestly I have yet to see the leasing office and management make any effort to improve. The female leasing consultant/agent in the office can be extremely rude and often tends to make excuses as to why for example - is the answering service for the community automatic during normal business hours? I have yet to call during normal business hours and someone actually answers the phone, I have to actually go into the leasing office just to ask questions, SMH. The property manager comes off as friendly but is extremely impatient as well, as most often instead of her addressing you herself, it's as if she can't talk to you - you must go through the leasing consultant (the rude one). I had a few issues (mostly maintenance) while here and requested information to the corporate office - well it just so happens that the "corporate office" information IS the onsite property manager. I WOULD NOT recommend entering into a lease with this community (Stone Pointe) while under the current management (Avenue 5). It WAS much better with the previous management (Elan at Potomac Heights / Greystone). KEEP LOOKING!!!!!!! I am looking forward to ending my lease term here and moving on to something better.
I've been in this apartment for 1 1/2 years now. The previous company was "brought out" and the new company is not handling the transition like they should. I'm not going to go on a rant but last month's rent was paid via check only because the electronic payment wasn't ready yet. Now it's May, the office has been dark for at least the last two days (it's 05 May) and there is STILL no way to pay our rent. The website for us to pay doesn't allow us to register, and we haven't received any emails about it. I've called, sent emails to the address on the website....nothing. The individual that we can see through the doors to the front office don't know what to do. Things may change on a later date, but for right now, look somewhere else. Trust me. I won't be renewing, that's for sure. Plus side to this review, maybe I'll finally receive an answer....
As soon as I entered the elan apartments I was so impressed. The staff member Lazar had helped me with everything I was looking for hes very professional done a great job with getting our apartment. great location very modern and clean overall a place you can call home
Large spacious rooms. Well landscapes property with good amenities such as the gym and club house. Easy commit to Alexandria and DC because of close proximity to I 958.
Great Property Management. I have had no problems at all adjusting to this property.
My apartment is brand new. I am the first tenant to occupy this luxury one bedroom. The amenities are OK and the pool area is very small; not that I would ever use it anyway. The staff is awesome. the location is very convenient but very noisy being so close to Rt 1. between police sirens, fire trucks, construction equipment and car alarms it is impossible to go a couple of hours without being subjected to the street noise day or night. rent is a little on the high side for a one bedroom in spite of the location.
Beutiful and is in a great spot, the amenities are at a good price and have nice people around. The apartment is a Beutiful complex and would love to stay here for the rest of my life :)
While the initial presentation of fancy finishes, large kitchen islands and huge rap around balconies is enough to suck anyone in. But after your name is on the paper you soon find out that Elan Potomac Heights isn't worth all the money they ask for. To start the walls are paper thin, so thin that you can hear water in the pipes draining from the apartment upstairs as if your neighbors are pouring it out on next to you. But hearing water in the pipes isn't as bad as knowing everything about your neighbor without ever meeting them. Another issues is that at first glance the apartment seems well put together but after moving in we began to notice cracked tiles in the bathroom, frayed carpet, scratches in the laminate floor and other little things that maintenance was called to fixed. If Elan Potomac Heights was a reasonable price while in Woodbridge, VA I don't think I would have had too big of a grudge with the apartment it self but for all the money that they are asking for I feel as if a person can do better.
