Property Ratings at Stonebridge Apartment Homes
The price is decent compared to other apartments in the Pocket area. Unfortunately, the price really reflects the building quality. The units itself aren't too bad, but you can REALLY notice how cheap maintenance is and easily see the rotting wood and general wear down of the buildings. Also, management is so irrationally strict. They try to tow cars on a weekly basis because of benign reasons, they don't let residents put some plants, posters, or other miscellaneous things out on the front porch or patio (which they rarely ever give a logistical or contractural reason why things aren't allowed), and they honestly have such a passive-aggressive tone.
I was moving during quarantine and had very little luck getting through to offices, but this one was very quick with their reply and the whole process went relatively smoothly and the staff was very nice. Ive had some frustrating moments such as them pushing back the move in date, no walkthrough despite being told we were doing one, not having access to my mail for 6 months and an unclear explanation, and most recently they replaced the mailboxes, didnt tell me I needed to pay for a new key or wait several days. I called to get the key because I had a few packages arriving for easter, they suddenly say I need to pay and dont know how long it will take. I called on a wed and they didnt tell me that they would be closed on Friday so I assume they have 2 whole business days for them to copy the key before leave for the weekend. I play phone tag for a week before they call me saying the key has been ready and they were waiting for me to call them and get it. How would I know to call and get it if I didnt know it was ready? There was medication in the package and I was not happy. Otherwise, the property is very nice and generally quite (one neighbor likes to play very loud music with the windows open late on the weekends but security is usually called and they turn it down) the gate is open during weekday business hrs. Theres apparently a guest code no one gave me so my family visiting late has to wait for me run through the parking lot with my remote to let them in only to find out 8 months in theres a guest code from a random resident. The apartment was comfortable but no light fixtures in the bedroom or livingroom and the light in the bathroom is connected to the loudest fan ever which is annoying. There are outdoor roaches and Ive only seen 2 inside in the year Ive lived here. Aside from those small things I actually really do like this place. Maintenance calls are answered quickly and easily when my fridge stopped getting cold. The neighborhood is great and its very pretty and peaceful. Im not worried about theft or vandalism. The walls arent thin, I can hardly ever hear any noise from my neighbors aside from water in the pipes and Im assuming some energetic children once in a while stomping around. Im from the mountains and was worried the nature would be lacking but its very green and Im backed up to a lawn with a hedge and ivy covered houses. Perfect. I know I'll have hicups with any management office and these werent a huge deal in comparison
I was told I can't keep a plant and door mat outside my front door. It's kind of a slap in the face considering I've never once complained about the constant piles of garbage, rotting wood on the balcony, broken concrete, removal of trees that kept our apartment shaded, vandalized mailboxes, rude neighbors, lengthy/pointless construction, really outdated/ugly interior, and frequently malfunctioning front gate. I loved most of my first year here but it has gotten a bit out of hand. We were told when we moved in that they were going to paint and refurbish the exterior but it hasn't happened. I know there are places that have more space for a cheaper price less than 3 minutes from here. So why are we still here? It's a bit silly that a plant is going to cause me to not resign my lease but freedom was a huge bonus I thought I had here. I made the front entrance of my apartment look cozy despite the unpainted rotting wood and I loved seeing that plant when I came home. I'm so disappointed. :( RIP my plant.
Pros: Great price compared to other places. Apartments inside are nice. Lots of amenities. GREAT location. Staff are responsive and nice. Cons: The maintenance of the exterior of the apartment buildings are sub-par. The balconies are rotting with visible water damage where it feels unsafe to even use. The outsides of the apartments look like they haven’t been kept up in 10 years with pieces hanging/falling off. Neighbors are disrespectful—don’t know how to throw trash out properly, dogs off-leash frequently with owners not watching or picking up dog crap left behind. People spitting out windows while people walk by. If you don’t mind these cons, I’d say go for it! I love our apartment minus the cons. I just wish I had known this before so wanted to share with others.
Cheapest rent I could find in Pocket, was looking for 6 months before my previous lease was up (Summer 2018). Friendly office staff, prompt & friendly maintenence (show up minutes after I call or go into the office). Have gas stoves, which I love, especially since I cook a lot. A lot of other apartments have electric coils which take forever to heat up & heat unevenly. 2b1ba has a nice layout. Only problem is washer is pretty small so I have to do more loads. Love the mirrored closets and lots of windows and natural light. Cheap counter and cabinets doesn't really bother me, still holds everything. We have considered moving when our current lease is up to a slightly bigger place but don't want to take a risk with a bad landlord or management.
Overpriced. Would not recommend to anyone. Nice neighborhood but not worth it
New management raised prices. Can find nicer similar prices apartment in area. Cheap linoleum floors, beige carpet, flimsy plastic countertops, fake wood cabinets, gate doesn’t work, open to public
While calling to get information about move in requirements I spoke with Natalie, she was very kind and understanding with all of my many questions. I'm very pleased with the service and prospects of moving into the Stone Bridge Apartments.
New management is too new to know what they're doing. Bring back the old manager that knew how to tend to tenants!
The management is accommodating. The neighborhood is great. The rent is affordable and the complex is clean and quiet.
The staff is very courteous and helpful. Had to beak my lease early and staff worked with me to pay off the remaining balance. Would definitely recommend this complex to others.
