Property Ratings at Stonebridge of Arlington Heights
Possibly the worst apartment experience I've had in my life. But it's hard to say if the old management group that let the community fall into disarray was worse than the new management group that came in, jacked up prices on everything because of promised improvements that never happened. Your deliveries will be stolen and management will do nothing about it. The elevators inside the buildings don't work. The various floors are filthy. Lighting outside the buildings have been broken for the entirety of our 2-year stay. Management closed the trash chutes on each floor because people couldn't be bothered to get their trash into the actual chutes, and "fixed" the issue with a trash pick-up service that shows up on time only some of the time and leaves the hallways and elevators smelling like rotten garbage. You pay to have a washer/dryer combo machine in your apartment that is without a doubt the worst LG machine ever made — requiring constant repairs to the pump and taking upwards of 8 hours to dry 1 normal load of clothing. But you can't use the communal laundry rooms because 3/4 of the machines are broken/rusted/unplugged and the only usable machines will tear up clothing every. single. cycle. Management promised improvements here but they're on their fourth month of trying to pick the cheapest contractor to start the job. The office staff changes out monthly, which isn't surprising. The parking lots flood during rainstorms. A fire in one of the buildings last year led to massive damage as there were no fire alarms installed in the buildings. There's nothing luxury about these apartments, aside from the price and the tacky "LUXURY" slapped on the sign out front.

We are addressing needs as quickly as possible, so we thank you for your patience! AC is very old, it can’t cool the place at all. Then the heating system has lots of issue during the winter. Very uncomfortable place to live, burn you in the summer and freeze you in the winter. Pool is very dirty, they don’t clean the chaise which always looks dusty and dirty. The maintenance is very bad, always ignore your complaints. But they keep increase the rent every year
This will be a lengthy one, so I’m apologizing in advance. I recently had the unfortunate experience of residing at Stone Bridge Apartments, and I must say, it was an absolute nightmare. Not only did they tow my car without any consideration for their tenants, but their overall indifference towards resident satisfaction was truly appalling. First and foremost, the incident involving my car being towed was infuriating. As a loyal resident, I expected some leniency or at least a warning before they resorted to such extreme measures. However, Stone Bridge Apmore interested in proving their action justified based on their lease rather than fostering a sense of community and empathy among its residents. I was shocked when I went to where I had parked my car in the building I lived and found it missing. I initially thought it was a joke. I called the leasing apartment to find out if they had any idea what had happened to my car. I was told my car was considered “inoperable” because I had flat tires, so they called the towing company to pick it up. I was appalled because I would hope to have received a call or at least a notification before such a terrible decision was made by the managers. I could only hope this wasn’t a retaliation for ending our lease after two dreadful years. I can’t believe I lived in this building for two years with the poor condition. They probably think this is an affordable place so they can treat their tenants like crap; however, the affordability comes with a price. The cheap rent may initially seem appealing, but the constant frustrations, poor living conditions, and disrespectful treatment make it abundantly clear that this company is not worth the hassle. If you enjoy living in dilapidated buildings, this is the place for you! The management clearly couldn't care less about its tenants' well-being. The outdated facilities and ancient appliances make it feel like you've stepped into a time warp from the 1970s. In conclusion, if you're willing to sacrifice your sanity, comfort, and overall happiness, then this ancient, uncaring apartment complex is the perfect fit for you. But if you value your well-being, I implore you to run far, far away from this nightmare of a living situation. You deserve better.
I called for more information and the lady was very rude. Even if you don't participate in market survey's you don't have to be rude. Not professional at all. I was very surprised that you have employees working for you that are just rude.
My husband and I toured the building before moving in and we were shown one unit. We were told we would get a different one. We had been referred by a friend of ours. When we moved into our own building 400 West, it was bad from the get go. Bugs everywhere, everyday, setting traps weekly was a pain. Cockroaches and more. The neighbors above screamed for hours on end from 10 pm to 3 am, we called to complain many times but unfortunately people don't change. Kids ride their bikes in the hallway, use the mail room as a play room, we had many packages stolen and ripped open. People smoke weed in the stairwells and we stepped in dog poop in the hallway too many times. Upon move in our microwave was covered in crap, our fridge smelled terrible, cabinets falling off (which we fixed ourselves). The overall apartment wasn't too bad, the space is decent. Our kitchen flooded from the neighbors putting rice down the disposal multiple times. The plumber actually said "they are just letting anyone move in to get more tenants", which whether or not true was alarming. Then of course there was the fire and the shooting which was all over the news. This entire complex might be ok but our building specifically was an absolute nightmare. We moved out 2 months early and never looked back. This is not the place to move unless you are ok with the above. Our stay was in the last 12 months 2021-2022.
I booked an apartment in Stonebridge for renting, while sitting in Texas. Tanja gave me a remote walk over of the property. It's been four months since we moved and we are loving staying here. She asked for our prerequisite and helped in getting apartment at ground floor with ample sunlight. Management was generous enough to ask for floor preference and they got new flooring done before we moved in. There is a monthly Pest control scheduled and we have not faced any issues related to cockroaches. Even the rent and utility charges are as per range given while booking, so I don't see any hidden charges. Overall, apartments are well maintained, spacious and calm.
I had a great experience, everyone was nice and accommodated me in every way. I love my apartment!!
Huge apartments with everything you could need. Elevator, in-unit washer and dryer, central air, huge kitchen and bedroom and storage space. Very quiet with quality items such as Sherwin Williams carpet. Always tons of parking and a very nice pool.
When we arrived we finish paper work got keys and did a walk through with their leasing agent. Was told that they hired a professional cleaner and that she double checked right before we came to insure it was ready and it was not . There was dirt and food behind stove fridge was dirty and broken shelf’s there was live roaches as well as mice trap with roaches spiders and spider webs in vents . Tub had dirt in it and bath salt from previous Tenats in bathroom vanity and left over clothes in the washer that she told me was brand new . The agent said she was so embarrassed which I didn’t understand how they even missed these things and how did she double check and I found so much wrong she rushed out the apartment and headed back to leasing office . I knew it wasn’t ready and I couldn’t move into that situation they cut all the lights off and cars where still out there and her purse was on the desk sat for 10 minutes knocking and calling they completely ignored me soon as I went across the street and came back not even 15 minutes later her purse was gone and car was still outside . I went to office yesterday it was closed I can today and was lied to and avoided . I was told I would get a call back no call back when I call from my number they don’t answer and I call from another they answer right away I was hung up on as well . I talked to multiple current tenants and everyone told me it was infested with roaches and they wish they would of known sooner I told the agent she said I only seen one or two I seen multiple and it shouldn’t matter how many it shouldn’t be any . Below are picture I took during walk thru . Please get back to me at your earliest convenience .
I dislike to create this review. They put me in no choice to share message with this community. I don't want you feel what I went through with flinty greed with money. They always find a loop to keep your security deposit no matter what. They are trying charge me for treatment the bedbugs in our unit with their own Pest Control Company, however I have three different Pest Control companies reports claimed that there is no bedbugs around in the unit. They called my wife to not worry about pay the amount for treatment because they can use our security deposit. This is really joke for them to say that. This is not professional as property manager. I love few of excellent customer service who knows how treat tenant properly. Unfortunately, they are in process to eviction us out of apt for not let them advantage of us to vacant the apt and treatment the unit for no reason where they can took all of my security deposit. Take my advice; Please don't waste your time to deal with dramatic unless you love to live with cockroaches or don't care about losing money. Its your decision to make.
Potential renters, Beware: the management is the worst. DO NOT GET AN APARTMENT HERE. We are looking forward to moving out of this community asap We moved to this community last year. Initially, we sub-leased an apartment from a resident who was moving out. After moving in we saw a lot of pest activity in the unit. When we contacted the management, the only answer they gave us was "You did not get an apartment from us, you took it from someone else". This was always the answer even when we raised any maintenance requests. Recently we renewed the lease and moved to another apartment in the same community. When we were doing a walk-in for the new unit, we were told it was going to get cleaned before our move-in. However, they did not clean it to our expectations. The carpet was worn out at high traffic areas and the management told us at the time of our move-in that it is going to remain as it is. At this point in time, I was not ready to move in into the new unit, but we had to since "All the paperwork was signed". Two weeks back we got our utility bill from RBS and we were charged $199.90 for the internet we never used. When we called the management about it, the only answer we ever received was "It is all in the paperwork you signed". Basically, we ended up paying $200 for internet that we were not aware was included in utilities after the lease renewal. The management did not even have the courtesy to let us know at the time of renewal or walk-in that they were including the internet as a part of utilities and all they could say when confronted is "It is all in the paperwork". They say that they got a "pro-plan" from Comcast for their residents that includes 800mbps at $99 a month, but many times we do not even get enough speed to load webpages. If we knew they had included internet services in the utilities for $99/month, we would have never renewed our lease here. We have had the worst experience staying here, looking forward to moving out soon. Hope this review helps others who are looking for an apartment in Arlington Heights!
1. High Rent 2. Extra High Utilities 3. Now they even charge exuberant rate for Internet 4. Extremely poor customer service 5. Forget about your Security Deposit 6. Even the technician who comes to repair any applications at the end of day they will try to deduct it from your security- The technician scratched the refrigerator, over & microwave and they charged me for it. 7. Very Poor Ticketing system for issue resolution. 8. Gym doesn’t have all the equipment. 9. The apartment design lol!! It will be very difficult to put your couch n tv and have a good viewing angle. 10. No luxury at all.
They have lots of roaches. Roaches everywhere been living here for about a year and nothing is being done. The leasing office doesn’t care. They are all so rude. Please do not rent here.
They don't have short term lease minimum 1year . They charge higher rent so if want to break lease difficult to get sublease at rate you pay. Management not flexible in terms of short lease and not consider genuine cases. For family kids have restriction if they play in lobby area in winter.
Moved in a couple of days after Christmas. To start, the closet space is amazing, the bedroom huge, but after settling in, the kitchen was filthy, my hands sticking to the cabinets when touched, so thick with cooking oil. It took over 9 hours of scrubbing to get the kitchen useable. Bedroom blinds significantly damaged, and didn't know it during the walk-through due to the blinds being pulled up. Both sets of blinds in the apartment took over 3 hours to clean due to caked on dust. Within 3 days, the carpet was buckled throughout the entire place, and management informed that this was normal and that I had to use my furniture to secure the carpet from movement away from the walls. Kitchen faucet does not turn off properly, taking several or more attempts to get the water to stop dribbling. This was reported to the office 3 times and still not fixed. 2 dead roaches found during my clean-up within the first few days. This is not the worst part...DOZENS of unsupervised children left to run the hallways and the lobby, from 630p to 9p every day of the week, screaming so loudly that my daughter and I were not able to have a conversation in our own apartment. Many attempts to kindly ask the children to calm down, but to no resolve. Had to call the police to get them to go back to their apartments. Office staff made aware, but told that there is nothing that can be done after hours when they leave at 6p. Great. This is with just 5 weeks of residency. Hope it gets better for us.
Expensive rent for such a horrible place to live! Management is horrible! Cockroaches everywhere! Broken toilet as soon as I moved in, and broken sink. Made a request when I moved in to have it fixed, I’ve lived here for 8 months now. I have asked three times. Kids are chaos here there is so many and they keep me up at 4 am! when I moved in the entire apartment was filthy, they didn’t even clean it! Management is a fraud here DONT even TJINK for a second they’re being nice because it’s fake. They up charge you for rent every month. They don’t clean sidewalks from snow and my family member slipped and hurt themselves. Kids in the main entrance run around and throw pillows everywhere. Had my packages stolen too. Elevator went months without having a glass roof and was just wires. The moving elevator was broken for the first three months I lived here so I couldn’t even use that! Horrible awful and a waste of your money
Kept keys inside the apartment and came out. Immediately got, that keys are inside. Called leasing office to send keys with somebody. They dont have people at office. Asked me to come take the keys. but my jackets and shoe are inside. I explained them. Immediately he ( george) itself came with keys. Thanks for prompt action George. All the best.
These are great apartments in a great area. The maintenance and office staff are always friendly and quick to respond to the issues. I have loved my time here and will always recommend it to others. Special thanks to Christine. She always support and help to sort the things.
We were looking for our first apartment and went out there looking at other places. We had one in mind but once we came here, we knew this would be the one we would love. To this day we still love our place and appreciate the help we got from everyone at the leasing office. Big shout out to them and greatfull for what we got.
there are roaches everywhere and they make it impossible for you to pull out of your lease they make accusations that you don’t keep your apartment clean, I have contacted the main Connor group. When I looked at the place it was clean shortly after I moved in the roaches came. They think by having an exterminator come in once a week is going to solve the problem but they are sadly mistaken they don’t care about your problems they act as if they do. I have bleached my kitchen & bathroom I have bought traps I clean my apartment every other day and they are still here. I STRONGLY SUGGEST DO NOT MOVE HERE. ROACHES RUN THE SHOW HERE
The management is very kind and very helpful. Christine gave me a full walk through and answered all of my questions, and kept a lot of patience throughout everything. Apartment was clean!
Never got a walk through Multiple roach sitings (they have had service out for this) Good luck with water temperature and pressure Apartment had dust, dirt, crumbs, etc. upon moving in Utility rates fluctuate wildly and are in addition to base rent (They don't provide usage) Did not receive copies of anything that I executed after asking for them
Window panes in rhe building are broken for ever.this building is under construction for ever. All sorts of bugs rodents can be found. Poor hygiene and maintenance..will not recommend
Renters beware.....the negative reviews below are definitely accurate. Bureaucratic management who offer no help at all. Service requests are a nightmare even for simple items Plus bugs......roaches, stink bugs, centipedes. The grounds are a mess. Building is outdated and smells. Not sure when common areas get cleaned. Have had multiple packages stolen or opened as well.
Frankly speaking I was not sure to go for this apartment initially given so many negative comments online but what I found so far is totally opposite. Specially thanks to Christine ,I want to highlight her professional and pro activeness, she answered all my questions clearly with patience and make sure I am comfortable to sign the lease. I delayed signing the lease by more then a month after my initial visit but you kept following up, understood my apartment requirements, build trust and created good reputation of yourself and Connor group. Finally when I decided to move, she ensured that all in progress work in the apartment is completed within the shortest period and before the date I wanted to move in. Its already 2 weeks for me in Stonebridge apartments and I found apartment is well maintained, no issues at all. Keep doing the awesome work you are doing. Best of luck. Thanks, Rohan Sharma
I moved in recently and it's good Apt.. christine has helped a lot in providing all the details during the tour and very helpful and helped a lot on the date of moving in as well providing a complete walkthrough on the day of move in. Thanks, Vinoth
Hello, Yes the schools are good in this area and the only reason we renewed the lease so that my daughter can complete her middle school from here. There is construction every where, we are on 4th floor and labor is on the roof banging sledge hammers at 7AM without any notifications. The drive way to the building enterence had a covered area that helped unload groceries in rain and snow is now gone. There was a water leak in the house and there are rats in the house. Also if both the bathroom sinks are clogged it is not a emergency so wait till next working day, even if you have guests coming over. The only reason we moved was due to previous property manager April, she was approachable by phone and would respond immediately for any issues, but now she is gone. Understand there can be issues but they need to be resolved, which doesn't happen swiftly. The property is under staffed with very few people, mostly only 1-2 in office at a time for a property of around 576 apartments. The only time I felt I got really good attention was during lease renewal. I hope this feedback is taken constructively and issues are resolved.
Don't rent it even for free. Apartment is full of Cockroaches and bugs. They give the apartment very dirty and expect it to be clean when returning. most of the times, washers and dryers don't work. Elevators are for show purpose and don't work. corridors are not at all cleaned. they might clean it once a month. packages go missing and it's a hassle to find out and get yours back. Management takes ZERO ACTION when complained about any of the things.
The apartment is located in great area. The community located in very beautiful, the apartments are very spacious and the rent is reasonable, Having lot of green area, parks , swimming pool ,nice walking path and spacious car parking. Kids can play out safely which i loved most. The staff Christine is very helpful and clarified all our questions and helped us moving with great comfort. Very friendly staff in resolving any issues.
This is a nice place to live. Great schools and shopping complex in the vicinity. Park for kids, ample parking for friends... Good staff..
Over priced and poorly maintained property. More then half of the washer and dryers are not working in my building and its been almost a month now...no one cares...if you call them...they talk almost rudely. If you put a service request about something which can cause injury to kids...they do not care....property is not cleaned...you will see lots of dead leaves..these are cleaned may be once in every 4-5 months.. overall poor maintenance...rude staff...not worth the price they ask for.. Moreover pls be advised that their utility bill may go upto $200/month...make sure if you are renting a property and they claim that your monthly bill not go over $120...get it written in the lease agreement else no one listen to you.
I have been living in stone bridge apartments since 2015, from the first day I moved to Illinois. This apartment is very spacious, luxurious, cand safe. The management is friendly and always welcoming. I am impressed with Christine for being helpful in addressing even our small concerns immediately.Always enjoying our stay in stonebridge.. thank u
very responsible staff. we have interacted with Christine. she is very nice to chat with and explained all info in detail with patience. Signed the lease yesterday. Glad to join Stonebridge family.
We really loved this apartment and staff member support is great, especially staff member Christine. She helped us lot in touring facility and smoother paper work.
*Don't move in.Issues faced by myself 1. So tired of complaining about the hot water issue - i complained tons of times before on the hot water issue which is happening from start of 2017 winter. Suggestions, from leasing office is to take shower in evening or wake up early and shower before 7:15 AM in the morning - if this is what you expect us to do, i request please do mention this in the lease and let people know before signing the lease and not AFTER. 2. i moved here 1.5 years back from other state and i saw the apartment in Skype and asked 10's of times - is there anything i will be paying other than rent? answer was only cable and electricity. When i landed here to sign the lease - i was told to pay 90-100/month extra for utilites (last month utilities is $113) - when questioned why? response was "ok, you can stop signing the lease and look for another apartment" - very clever office folks who know when to tell people about these extra charges and helpless me with all my luggages in hand need to hear this. 3. Again, when i signed lease, i was told club house was under renovation and will be opened in Spring of 2017 - Still waiting and wondering now, did they mention year 2017 or 2070? 4. Mostly, atleast 2 out of 4 washer/Dryer's are not working and need to run to other floor to see any machines available to get it done 5. Administrative fee of $9 every month for monthly utilities and $3 convenience fee for the company they choose with for making utilities payment? Also, paying rent online is of convenience fee more than $25 (think this is made intentionally so that people will not pay online and will have to remember dropping checks on time else pay 150 extra :), i claim this because paying rent online was of no charge till few months back. i spoke about Hot water issue to emergency oncall person , leasing office, and property manager with no luck. i even tried reaching out to connor group customer service and area manager but calls are forwarded to leasing office only.

I recently moved to this community with 1 BR which is spaces for my kid to play. On the other hand I have few concern about the apartment, the building and apartments are pretty old but they are trying to maintain as Good, we observing cockroach in the kitchen wash basin area, we complained couple of time about this problem and they are sending pesticides remover every week to clean but still we find them frequently, we are frequently see ants in living room, bed room, kitchen and rest room, we complained them but they haven't taken any action for this. They are charging extra fee for online rent and utility payment which makes life difficult especially during winter to drop checks in the drop box in leasing office
I recently moved to Arlington Heights about a month ago.My experience till now is good.I would recommend this apartment. The office staff are very practical and welcoming. They are very prompt in resolving issues (like maintenance request etc..).
This community was an extremely beautiful, well kept and peaceful community. Everything was so beautiful that I feel like home here. The office staff was extremely accommodating and friendly also. I have been in couple of communities before but this gives me the best experience, in It offered amenities that most communities did not.
I have been living in SBV for over 13 months. It's a great place to live however the rentals are quite high, but this is negated with some good deals which come from time to time. My experience in SBV apartment and with the officials has been wonderful. The leasing officals are a great bunch of people who are willing and eager to help and are very helpful. Their manager especially April is an awesome person, always willing to help and goes out of her way to help residents with whatever is possible n permissable. While being helpful she is also very professional and deals with people tactfully. The renovation of the apartments has given a different n fresh look to the community. We are waiting for the club house or be completed soon so that it become a still better community to live in which become self sufficient for the residents. To sum up I would love to live here and live as long as possible and would recommend this place to my friends and colleagues.
Denise is very nice and easy to work with, she explained everything and made my move a breeze. Everyone seems to be very helpful and nice. I definitely recommend calling in and asking about an apartment at this place. If you are in the market for an apartment call Denise she'll help you! 5 stars to the rest of the staff as well.
The apartments are very nice and spacious. Near to best schools and school buses comes to each building to pick up and drop kids. Management is friendly and reachable over the phone. It has all amenities like gym, swimming pool, tennis etc. I recommend for family with kids.
