Property Ratings at Stonegate Apartments
Do not move here unless you're comfortable with them arbitrarily raising your rent by 15% every year. I'm in my third year and I'm paying over $250 more every month than i moved in. They also don't maintain to facilities at all. Almost none of the equipment in the "fitness center" is functional. Some hasn't worked since long before I moved in.
This is a very quiet community. The staff is friendly and responsive. The few times I have needed maintenance it has been very quick. The grounds are always clean. The location is perfect. I would recommend this to anyone.
I lived at Stonegate for a year. It was my first apartment and I loved it. Staff was great about getting any problems fixed almost immediately. Great neighborhood, great spot, nice and quiet.
I live in the bottom floor and have had mold several times. They continue to do nothing about it. I feel management takes advantage of me being young and are extremely rude. They always shrug off my concerns
Been at Stonegate for 3 years now. Very happy with the response to any maintenance need over my time here. The facilities are very nice, great gym and clubhouse that can be rented out for parties. The pool is the best apartment pool in the area, hands down. The staff is nice and very helpful. Walking distance to the grocery store and many great restaurants.
I’ve gladly called my loft apartment @ Stonegate home for more than 7 years. They have fantastic layouts, are very reasonably priced w/ a beautiful pool and an amazing complex (fitness center included), possesses friendly, informative, and helpful management and timely maintenance, and are conveniently located to a grocery store, Walgreens, three banks, and a flurry of restaurants, bars, and hot-spots. Plus there’s easy access to highways 141/270/44/40. Check them out!!!
Property Manager at Stonegate Apartments, Responded To This Review
Thank you so much, we appreciate the review! We love our residents!
I was extremely pleased with the previous management that ran this property. I made several calls over 5 months to request that maintenance fix something in my apartment. They finally just came. There are lightbulbs that need replaced and have been out all along the premise of apartments and the property. My lease renewal was “misplaced” twice. The new management staff is unprofessional and rude. I am extremely disappointed with how matters have been handled.
Property Manager at Stonegate Apartments, Responded To This Review
We have recently acquired a new Management Team at Stonegate Apartments and would like to schedule a time for you to come in and discuss your concerns. Please contact the office at your earliest convenience so that we can take care of this. It is our upmost concern to make sure that each and every resident is happy and comfortable in their own home. Sincerely, Stonegate Management Team
The outside of the apartments are very pleasing to the eye. They have nice landscape, nicely paved parking lots (not enough spaces) and a beautiful setup next to trees and a pond. However, once you move in you realize that the outside is a facade. I was sold on the idea of my apartment being completely renovated due to the previous renter living there for 20 years. They said they were unable to show me the actual apartment because the previous renter wasn't moved all the way out yet. I think this is very odd in itself but I trusted them unfortunately. (It's kind of like agreeing to buy a used car and not getting to see it till you've sold your current vehicle and have nothing to drive.) So the day before I was supposed to move in, (moving from Texas by the way) I was told the apartment would not be ready and I would have to wait another day to move in. So I figured, this was OK since I would rather have them finish and do a good job than be rushed and half way complete things. I was wrong in both. When I moved in I found out a lot of lovely details. One, there was no overhead lighting in the living room or bedroom. Two, the original cabinets from the '70s were not replaced due to time constraints. Three, the floor tracks for the brand new closet doors had not been installed. These are only 3 of about 20 things wrong with the apartment. Only 2 things on the list has been fixed as of last week 9-8-16. Every time I go in the office they know me by name and are SO disappointed the repairs have not been done and they are still "unacceptable" per the property manager. I would honestly look somewhere else unless you get a unit that is actually fully renovated. It's not worth the amount of rent or the headache. Hopefully they'll see this and do something....
This apartment complex has gone downhill tremendously this past year. I have lived here for 5 years now. Everything started out great. When I first moved in the complex was owned by Banner Apartments and the office and maintenance staff were excellent. After my first year, Wolff Properties took over and things began to change. Rent went up, we had to start paying for water, sewer, trash, and we have had a myriad of and a lack of staff. My first apartment flooded and had black mold growing. Come to find out there were significant foundation problems in the apartment that made it unlivable. I had to pack up all my stuff and move to another apartment in the complex. At first, the new apartment seemed nice. It had an updated kitchen. They must have thrown the apartment together quickly because I have noticed more and more issues while living there. There are huge chunks of compound on the walls that they painted over and you can see the screw marks on the drywall. In the past year there has been at least 4 different apartment managers. When I first moved in, the maintenance team was great. They responded to issues quickly and always took care of any issue. Since I moved into my second apartment the same can not be said. I have had to put in 3 maintenance requests for three different issues before the issue was taken care of. If you try to call the office, don't expect anyone to answer the phone. I called numerous times over a three week period trying to get a maintenance issue (hot water in tub kept running in a small stream) taken care of and no one ever answered the phone. When maintenance finally did come, they took a look at my issue and did not return to fix it for 4 days. While fixing the issue, the maintenance team made it worse (water was gushing out as if filling the tub). This happened on a Friday. (the water to the apartment had to be turned off. I left a message with the office on Sunday night and Monday morning and did not receive a call back. I had to call the Property Owners in order to get a hold of someone who could fix my issue.
We have been living here for about 4 months now. When we moved in the manager promised us stainless steel in our apartment by the time we moved in. Well, we moved in and they weren't there...so we asked and asked and were told we were on the list. When we went back to check on their status about 2.5 months in, we discovered that manager was no longer there and there was a new manager. We also learned there was no waiting list that she had told us about....ya, she was bad. BUT the new manager is very good! She got us signed up for our new appliances pretty quickly and has clearly been very busy organizing holiday cookies and a party, catching up on regular maintenance that needed to be done, etc. Our stainless steel is gorgeous, and we just love this loft style apartment. We really appreciated how responsive the new management has been and are looking forward to a long, satisfying stay here at Stonegate! Really like it here!
Management takes care od all your needs. Request are normally taken care of in 24 hours. The only down fall would be the location of the club house and pool.
New apartment owners are very attentive to residents. Maintenance is just a phone call away and they really respect your space. Apartment has all new appliances and nice space. Nice storage and good deck sizes. (We have 2!) Community is in a great location with shopping within 2 blocks and easy access to all major highways.
